  1. Actually, the cops would be pretty happy if he’d be a little more resistant to the concept. Unfortunately, he finds it funny.
  2. Not in the least. Mostly due to the contingencies planning for a (not-quite) Thanatos Gambit on Kell’s part. Which was not actually the plan for once. Thanks! Not exactly a sitcom, but will a Newspaper strip style comic do? I haven’t gotten to the Ghostblood ones yet (the first two are planned for strips 4&5), but I hope to eventually.
  3. Godmetals. There was a smugness to the thought, a promise of unspoken secrets he had no intention of sharing.
  4. Kelsier smiled broadly. “Girl after my own heart. Nice tricks or mean ones?”
  5. Kelsier grinned. Has that ever stopped me? His laughter carried across the Connection.
  6. I want to tell her, Kelsier sent. It’s my gift. And I want her to find it for herself. Shards know she could use something to wonder about. She hasn’t ever let herself explore. Now she has the opportunity. Let her have it. Just tell Aspen I have something for her. I doubt she wants me in her mind and I can’t seek her out now. I promised Zola we’d play before I left.
  7. It’s on an island. Kelsier pictured the place inside his mind, a small, sheltered grotto at the base of an active volcano. Small brown plants sprouted amidst the ash, interspersed with stark, pale trees. The plants of a world now centuries gone. I was planning to give her a map. You did say she likes plants and I’m not the best gardener.
  8. Kelsier nodded. I do have a gift for her, though. He couldn’t quite suppress the smug edge to it. I wonder what she’ll do with it. Let her know, will you?
  9. Marsh refuses to allow Kell to pull any more of those.
  10. Yes, it is. Good catch though! It’s always nice to be right!
  11. “I don’t recall specifying that their idiocy was limited to a single direction.” Kelsier smirked. “That wouldn’t be nearly foolish enough.”
  12. “Like I said,” Kelsier said grinning. “Idiots.”
  13. “From what I’ve heard, that’s only true if you don’t mind being enslaved or drafted. Though the Vorin don’t draft women, do they? Idiots.”
  14. Kelsier laughed. “When I grew up, sure. But you really want to tell me it’s easier to survive in a Desolation?”
  15. “Very bad,” Kelsier agreed. “You don’t pay attention to details. Names of towns, political situations... Survival is more than just the immediate moment, Adrienne. It’s about seeing the possibilities and opportunities that enable it.”
  16. “Our symbol was literally all over the gates,” Kelsier noted dryly, “and the brick work. And the pavers. And the doors and window frames, including the one you were firing at.”
  17. “Life is a test,” Kelsier said, grinning. “If you didn’t want to take mine, then you shouldn’t have attacked me.”
  18. Yes, it’s Nazh.
  19. Kelsier just raised a brow, smirking. “If I made things easy, then it wouldn’t be much of a test, would it?”
  20. “Or maybe I’m looking to see if there’s something worth seeing,” Kelsier countered.
  21. That was a joke actually... it’s a song quote. Another fitting one “I won’t give up, I won’t give in...” More seriously: Survive Never surrender Discover Trust Hope Trust before Betrayal Hope before Despair Victory before Defeat Survive! I will not be broken. I will turn my pain to strength and use it to achieve victory. I will never stop learning. There is always another secret. I will choose to trust, to love, even if it means opening myself to betrayal. I will never allow despair to win. I will always find reason to smile.
  22. I assume you don’t want me to tell her about aluminum? Kelsier sent to his old friend.
