  1. “And get some for yourself,” he added. He could spoil her some before he left.
  2. Kelsier spent 16 months in the pits according to Demoux. “This doesn’t seem like a simple anomaly, my lord,” Demoux said. “It’s precise. The same number keeps showing up, over and over. Sixteen.” Elend shook his head. “Even if it does, Demoux, it doesn’t mean anything. It’s just a number.” “It’s the number of months the Survivor spent in the Pits of Hathsin,” Demoux said. “Coincidence.” No one ever suggests Kell didn’t spend sixteen months in the Pits, so... And yes, that’s a very suspicious length of time!
  3. Mistborn:
  4. “Right here!” Kelsier proclaimed, gesturing around the store. He reached up, plucking Zola from his shoulders and settling her on the ground. “Find some small items, then bring them by the front. I’ll pay.”
  5. Kelsier smiled. “I hope so. That is the point of this - doing something fun with my daughter.”
  6. “Candies, jams -small ones-, little toys, Ganache’s chocolate...” Kelsier shrugged. “Whatever small things you find, I suppose. Anything that will fit in a pocket.”
  7. It would have had to have been. Basically: Elend and Vin - 100% Kelsier - 70 -75% Average Noble - 50% Mistsnapped - boosted from 20-30% to 35-45% If Kelsier started out with the Allomantic potential of the Mistsnapped - say 30% - Preservation would have had to boost him considerably to get him to 70-75%.
  8. They’re still weaker though. Kelsier was noted to be stronger than most other Mistborn. So if he was given a boost, it was a much bigger one than the Mistsnapped.
  9. Here’s a theory: Kelsier didn’t snap in the Pits. Instead Preservation actively transformed him into an allomancer, like Saze would later do to Spook. Reasons to suspect this: 1: its really strange that Kell didn’t Snap before if he had the potential after 16 months in the Pits even if his threshold was higher. 2: the Mistsnapped were weaker than other allomancers. Kelsier was noted to be unusually strong, so it’s unlikely he experienced that kind of Snapping.
  10. I keep going back and forth on Druids versus Warlocks for the Aethers. I’m not counting the minor Shardworlds right now, except for Threnody (which is counting for Ambition). What’s going on on FotS occurs throughout the Cosmere and seems to be the natural method of Investiture manifestation. This leads me to theorize that Yolen may be the Warlock world. Note that Warlocks receive their powers from sapient entities.
  11. Rosharans are actually closest, but they’re so obviously Paladins. Warlocks gain their power through a bond with an otherworldly being. I think Rithmatist, had it remained Cosmere, could have given us our Warlocks. Selish magic requires study and - with the exception of Elantris - can be used by anyone from the correct place with the right knowledge. Wizards utilize intricate and complex spells that require extensive study to master, but anyone can become one. Ergo, Sel=Wizards.
  12. My thoughts: Sel - Wizards Scadrial - Rogues Roshar - Paladins Nalthis - Bards Aether - Druids Taldain - Monks Valor’s World - Sorcerers Invention’s World - Artificer (Yes, I know not everyone includes them. But it fits too well.) Mercy’s World - Clerics Threnody - Rangers That leaves Fighters, Barbarians, and Warlocks
  13. “Not those either. You get those from the market, where the farmers sell.”
  14. Kelsier nodded. “That makes sense. But I don’t think they sell raw ones here. We could give them chocolate eggs, though. I “borrowed” some from your mother.”
  15. “Not raw ones,” Kelsier laughed. “Those smash.”
  16. Kelsier smirked. “I thought you wanted to play nice tricks? Changed your mind?”
  17. “Kind of,” Kelsier said, ducking down as he entered the store. “We’re going to be putting things in their pockets. Candies, candles, odds and ends. Small toys. Anything that fits, really.”
  18. That was the inspiration for this one. How would the cops react? Kell will get arrested a few times by traffic cops. It’s an ongoing thing. (There is a mini-story involving this.) I’m pretty sure this is the first incident, though.
  19. Kelsier sent her a mental laugh. Nah. The other side of the planet is a bit far, even for me. And no one is ‘born’ Mistborn either. They’re born with the potential. Although I’m honestly not entirely sure I was. I neglected to check when I was Preservation. Care to weigh in Saze? Kelsier smiled up at her, walking briskly to the general store. “You any good at pickpocketing, Princess? Because we’re going to do some reverse pocketing.”
  20. Kelsier laughed, swinging her up on to his shoulders. “This way,” he said, heading down the street toward the general store.
  21. “Go with Sovereign,” Eryn said. “Needs to leave soon.” ”She’s right,” Kelsier admitted. “I have things to take care of elsewhere. But we have a little time to play.”
  22. Eryn nodded, but didn’t elaborate.
  23. Kelsier nodded sagely, keeping a mental ear out in case Saze decided to have anymore conversations around his church. “Then we’ll need to get some supplies,” he announced, heading toward the church doors. ”I will stay,” Eryn decided. “Study memory.”
  24. The term is Fullborn, Kelsier interjected ‘helpfully.’
