@Darkness Ascendant BTW I looked up that book The Hush and it looks super awesome. I'm trying to find a way to get my hands on a copy so I can read it.
@Delightful Sounds good to me! I started reading one of the threads and got through like two pages... I think it was Portland. The one where Doctor Funtimes appears pretty much right off the bat.
Just for funsies I'm going to see how many I can name that little wilson didn't.

Comedies directed by Michael Bay?
When you say "sharpness" all I can think of is photography--like whether your subject is properly in focus. I'm guessing that's not the droid you were looking for?
@I_am_a_Stick Heh. That hadn't occurred to me before, but now that you mention it, yeah, they do! And speaking of the Echolands, have you read the Beyonders Trilogy?
@I_am_a_Stick Brandon has said that it will follow basically the same cast of characters that were in Fablehaven after the events of Keys to the Demon Prison. I suppose you might call it a spin-off, but to me that term implies that you have a second cast of characters having adventures at the same time as the original crew but in a different locale. Dragonwatch is just going to be a continuation of the story of Kendra and Seth, plus more dragons.
@Daniyah Yes! I love Fablehaven! <3 And did you know there's going to be a sequel series called Dragonwatch? IIRC the first book is scheduled for release in fall 2017.
@Darkness Ascendant Yup I read The Ring of Solomon. It was fantastic to see some more of Bartimaeus after the end of the trilogy.
I'm in complete shock.
I just finished placing orders to buy/rent all the textbooks my schedule says I'll need for this upcoming semester, and I only spent $81. That's INCLUDING shipping. I have NEVER spent so little on textbooks for one semester.
I approve of this idea! ...but I'm all out of upvotes for today.
OH I KNOW
We could turn it into a group meme-a-thon with our reactions as we're reading, a la Twi's thread Memefying Books! (I'm still sad that this topic died; can you tell?)
@Ironeyes You wouldn't happen to be going to BYU or UVU, would you? If you're in the Orem/Provo area we'd love to have you at BYU Cosmere Club.
Here's the thread link: BYU Cosmere Club
Of course, you would never have just one doing this IRL because Mormon missionaries are never supposed to be without their companion!
(BTW I am Mormon and I don't have a problem with it.)
More schools need to do cool stuff like Civil War reenactments and archery and cooking and wood shop. I feel like too many kids nowadays are being indoctrinated to think that learning is always boring and stressful and that fun is only to be had when in possession of some sort of screen and an Internet connection.
@Mistrunner You bet! That was easily my favorite class that semester. We watched a lot of clips from various film adaptations of the plays we were studying, and I'm a lot better at reading and understanding Shakespeare now.
