  1. Did you check the page 1 post? Edit: Fixed
  2. Any recommendation is fine, the suggested format in post one is just to limit how much I need to search to fill in the blanks.
  3. Thanks I took the author credit (with Hangul) from Goodreads for the first page post. . .
  4. Now on "Chapter" 41 - Though I will say that around Chapter 30ish, each chapter is closer to a novella on their own. I guess there are also related stories in the shared universe - I guess I did not realize it was around 4k pages/1.7 million words total. Still mostly interesting though - Worldbuilding is excellent, most of the authors are good (if unedited) and many many (human and alien) viewpoints are represented.
  5. I spent a semester in Seoul (way way back in 2001), and I have an associates degree in Korean. Unfortunately, I haven't had much practice in the last two decades or so. . . But I have ready the Korean translation for Harry Potter 1 (never quite finished the Korean Translation for Angels and Demons I bought though). The alphabet is easy enough to teach in a few days - everything else is the hard part.
  6. Added, in new SF WebSerial Category Wonder if it is avilable in the original Korean. . . I'm probably too rusty to read it though
  7. But, but that would not change that there is no Bone Spore sea to visit. Unless you plan is to sail the twelve seas looking for them. . .
  8. I'm also "Treamayne" on MTGO, if you make an account I can gift you some collection and teach basics there. . . Bonus, the Computer automates many rules while you are learning. Basic and Comprehensive Rules can be downloaded here. That said, if you don't know anybody that plays and have no local game store, then it may not be a game you want to invest time into learning. Online play can be toxic without an established playgroup, and even playing at a store is a crapshoot if you don't have an in-person playgroup.
  9. Short answer is we don't actually know that Kelsier made them (only that the Malwish credit the Sovereign, who was later implied to be Kelsier) and we don't know how they were made. We do have these short WoBs: It's all meant to be RAFO because the next Era will (hopefully) answer some of these questions.
  10. The Black Prism (and all five of Lightbringer by Brent Weeks) has been discussed in this thread a few times, if you want to do a quick search to see some opinions, in case it informs your decision.
  11. True - but on the other hand, if people didn't intepret Dawnshards as something similar to an Aspect, then why does everybody keep trying to Classify the Shards by their relation to the four "Dawnshard categories"? I was not trying to say Command are Aspects - only noting that it is possible that a Dawshard may be both a Command and an Aspect (in the categorization sense). Even then, I was only trying to Brainstorm possible interpretations to facilitate discussion. Thank you for the discussion
  12. Well, you would have an Identity problem, for one. For somebody to awaken their Hair - they wouldhave to believe their har was not a part of them. At the time of Warbreaker, they may not even consider Hair to be dead (it "grows" after all). That said, we have one WoB on a related idea. And if you really want writhing hair, may I suggest the Iron Druid Chronicles?
  13. That sounds like you are basing your idea on a false assumption. The Awakener doesn't decide how many breaths to use - they Invoke the Breath, make the Command - and the required number of Breaths leave them. If they don't have enough to power the command, then simply nothing happens. Warbreaker: Edited @ChickenBonanza That may be the case as we move into the future of the Cosmere. Recall that all of these terms are in-world, based on their current understanding at the time. Hoid even points out (WB Ch 32): Ad we also so that the Scientific Terms (as oppsoed to common parlance) used by one of the Five Scholars, was very short on using the term "Awakening". WB Ch 46: Hope that helps
  14. It's not just the number of pages in the rulebook. . . Forbes Article
  15. It's option 0 - nothing (or very very little). Any time you change the molecular structure of a Metalmind, you effectively block the result from doing anything (the Storage is Iron, so if the metal containing the storage isn't iron anymore, then it becomes incompatible). Normally, you get an effect like Vin trying to burn Sazed's Tinmind. Sometimes, if the original Ironmind was not completely full, then a Steelrunner would be able to use it to store steel (but not very much, only how much was unfilled as Iron). WoBs: Hope that helps
  16. Keep in mind that way back in Oathbringer Ch 89, she had the chance to experience Drehy's Cogntive aspect (and with her Mnemonic abilities. . . ) It's likely she could not have done that with a lashing from any other Windrunner. . . That said, I don't think her aspects have ever been normal DID. In RoW Veil implies that her personality has been in place since childhood (and was not new after arriving at the Warcamps in WoR - that's just when Shallan started attaching a visual illusion to the personality). It's possible that part of Shallan's experience is at least based on the same core Realmatics as Forgery - since we already know so many similar MoIs that are different but based on the same fundamentals (Yolish Lightweaving vs. Selish Lightweaving vs. Rosharan Lightweaving; Rosharan Elsecalling vs Selish Elsecalling; the multiple forms of Midnight [Essence, Spore, Nightmare, etc.] etc.)
  17. Not so much "robbed" as "corrected to the local Reference Frame" (but amounts to nearly the same thing). The big take-away I noticed is that investiture applied outside of the Physcial Realm does stack (The Breeze WoB). Which may have interesting implacations even outside of Soothing and Rioting.
  18. Many of these questions are RAFO, because Brandon wants to answer them in the stories. You may just want to read Timebubble tagged WoBs. Because the Bubbles have a mechanism for dealing with energy passing through the bubble's barrier, I do not think heat would work - but we simply do not know for certain either way. Here are a few that apply to your question: Sorry it does not conclusively answer your question, but I hope it helps.
  19. Concur - Cultivation's use of the Babath in attacking Kharbranth implies a Connection of some sort - but just as Humans represent Honor without being Rosharan Natives, I don't think that Connection implies anything about the origins of the Siah.
  20. Please see the Sharder FAQ (for quoting methods and other useful tips). If you mean in SUs, then you would use the manual method. In your post editor, click the quote icon (6 from left), copy the SU you are quoting and paste it into the box, continue your post under the quotebox.
  21. To be fair, we do not yet know if the Siah are Rosharan Natives. Though their hybrid offspring (Natanatan, Babatharnam) would likely qualify in the way that Humans now do. The only confirmed Native Rosharan Sapient race (so far) is Singers. Everything else has been confirmed as Immigrant descendants or hybrid races - except the Siah which is the primary remaining unknown (with Selay being the other - likely human but possibly not). Dysian Aimians (Sleepless) no hybrids due to incompatible biology Iriali Rirans (Hybrid with Humans) Humans Herdazians (Hybrid with Singers) Unkalaki (Hybrid with Singers) Natanatani (Hybrid with Siah) Babath (Selay Hybrid with Siah - assuming Selay are human or another hybrid themselves) Hope that helps
  22. Yes, that's what inspired the fan theory. But the grand total of that information is actually: (TLM AA) Notably, what it does not say is if the Aluminum spike requires a Hemalurgic Charge to remove powers. Does an Aluminum Earring remove powers? We don't know. Will the "remove powers" happen with any Bind point? We don't know. Does it have to be "empty" or "full" to remove powers? We don't know. It was left vague on-purpose, so that Brandon could explain it as the Scientific Method gains more traction on Scadrial and they start figuring it out. I'm not saying your conclusion is wrong - I am merely saying that presenting it as fact is not fully correct because we do not have enough information (and it gives new readers bad information when theory is presented as canon fact). Hope that helps.
  23. No. A Mistborn burning Aluminum from another Shardworld would get the same effect (ditto Feruchemist/Hemalurgist). The difference for the Metallic Arts is not in the Metals - it's in the Magic. The metallic arts are literally causing base Realmatic Properties of Metals to be expressed due to their molecular structure. If the Aluminum (Ralkalest) were tainted, the molecular structure would be wrong and it would not be viable for any Metallic Arts at all. Just to be clear: that is a fan theory, it is not supported by books or WoBs (unless you have some direct evidence). Hope that helps.
  24. Keep in mind, the portion you bolded here is likely talking about creating Avatars (Mistborn):
