  1. Brandon has all the copyrights on the interior art.
  2. I don't think so. It's been a long time.
  3. I believe the color is very close to Pantone garnet. http://www.pantone.com/pages/pantone/colorfinder.aspx?c_id=4454
  4. Part of the ending was also the same. But yeah, the original version of The Way of Kings was very different from the published version.
  5. I would guess that you could show up Sunday night and get in the top 25. 6:00 Monday morning to get in the top 50. But I can't guarantee any of that. We've not had a March release ever before, and much will depend on BYU students' enthusiasm, and the weather. The line will certainly be shorter than it was for AMoL.
  6. Warbreaker may be more similar to Mythwalker than the Way of Kings was to its old version. The Jek deleted scenes are probably the most similar scenes to what was eventually published.
  7. Brandon has a sister-in-law who reads the endings first.
  8. They picked 30 of them and I weeded out the ones that were too spoilery. One of them was something that was supposed to be a huge surprise, and I think they picked that one just to mess with me. My comment was HAHAHAHA NO. Or something like that. I'm pretty sure I can blame it on Carl.
  9. No one wants to interrupt Brandon when he is writing!
  10. They plan 2 or 3 weeks and try to hit a many cities as possible, with minimal flight time between them. This year he is going home on Sunday and Monday to relieve the stress on his family. There are certain cities he will most likely hit on every tour, and then the other cities he changes them up from tour to tour. It's mostly Tor that picks the cities, but we also give some input. Occasionally they also take input from Facebook, if people put together a Facebook group or page urging Brandon to go somewhere and enough people are involved in it. Bookstores in the US don't fly authors out. It's the publishers who do it as part of their publicity budget. For Brandon's first three books, Tor contributed a bit of money for Brandon and David Farland to go on a road trip tour together, that Brandon and Dave organized themselves. After that, Brandon's books were popular enough that Tor started paying to fly Brandon around and Tor set up the signings.
  11. As if Brandon ever answers the phone.
  12. As far as I know, Marsh is just Marsh and it's not meant to be the English word. And someone needs to ask Brandon if Mare's full name is Marewill, like the flowers that are named after her.
  13. Pretty sure Resealing is in fact a subset of Forgery. And for the other question, the extra energy goes the same place the energy from a certain other related thing goes.
  14. He's going to both Phoeniz and Tuczon in Zrizona this year. He tries to go to a few different places in each tour. I'm pretty sure he's never been to Tuczon before.
  15. LOL! Actually we have no idea what his Scadrian name would be. Breeze is a translation into English of the word they actually use. (So are Spook and Clubs, etc.) And it's not the French word either, because they don't actually speak French.
  16. Brandon sometimes says [ˈxo·lɪn] but I'm pretty sure the Alethi would actually say [xoˈlɪn]. However, [koˈlɪn] or [kʰoˈlɪn] are the recommended pronunciations for people from Earth. On whether pronunciations should be added to the Coppermind, I have no strong opinion except that any pronunciations that do get added should be pretty much correct and should also link to Brandon's pronunciation caveats.
  17. Jasnah is actually pronounced with an s rather than a z. I also wouldn't say the final vowel is ə—it's really more a-like. Perhaps ɐ. Also I personally much prefer the transcription style of [ˈei̯·do·lɪn] over [ˈeɪ·do·lɪn]; the first ɪ is wholly unlike the second ɪ, so i̯ is better.
  18. He will connect with more fans than any other destination probably in Seattle or Portland. Those signings are bigger than his signings have ever been in New York City or New England.
  19. Midnight EST wouldn't surprise me for the ebook release. Though, I wonder how many people at the midnight release party will be reading the book on their Kindles while waiting in line. She put the second in place of the first. It doesn't matter what she did with the first envelope after that.
  20. Not the moons, though that is another interesting topic.
  21. Hans and Anna don't have a strong connection at the beginning. When Anna says "sandwiches" he says "that's what I was going to say" when it's a bald-faced lie. He talks about how he has found his place (absolutely true) and she talks about how she likes his face (also true and very shallow). They have different motivations entirely. The song mentions mental synchronization, but the ones shown to actually have mental synchronization are Anna and Elsa just a few minutes earlier when they talk about chocolate. I don't have a problem with the trolls except I can't see any reason for them to stay as rocks for so many seconds after Kristoff starts talking to them. That appears to be done just for the sake of humor, which is a bit annoying. Also, the head troll was wrong in what he did at the beginning by removing the memories of magic from Anna's mind, but that's not a problem with the movie because it ultimately shows us that he was wrong, when Anna's white hair streak completely disappears at the end.
  22. ˈkælædɪn isn't even correct. I suggest the person adding the pronunciations really know IPA well. (it's [ˈkæl·ə·dɪn] )
  23. Yes. The artwork will have some spoilers. Brandon even put a spoiler warning in the Table of Contents right in front of the list of artwork. It's best just to see the artwork in order without looking at it ahead of time. The Ars Arcanum will have some spoilers too, and there's no particular reason to look at the Ars Arcanum while you're reading the book. skaa/Cheese Ninja: All the chapters that have been released, including Lift but NOT including Taravangian or Ym, are complete. The only things that are missing are the epigraphs on chapter 8 and chapter 9.
  24. Not on this tour.
  25. There's still at least one piece of relevant information in the book that I haven't seen mentioned.
