  1. @Nathrangking are you implying a kelsier cameo lol
  2. All very good points. Here's my thing: I'm pretty sure I read somewhere about worldhopping attributing to hoids suspect agelessness. That being said I could be wrong as I like to partake in the good old firemoss
  3. I believe the act of world hoping has something to do with it. Kind of a space time continuum dealy
  4. @Catie I can't really give specifics as I am currently at work and my book is at home. It's during Shallan' s flashback of the fair when she thinks that Hoid is going to poison her father
  5. I thought that I had read somewhere that Hoid is hacking magic systems. I actually didn't know about yolish lightweaving so thanks for that little tidbit. Also as a side note(not sure how relevant it is) but in Shallan's flashbacks we do in fact see hoid down a vial of metals and either riot or sooth Shallans father's emotions
  6. Yeah the purple blood is definitely greatshell blood. My headcannon so fat has been the parshendi would take them into battle much like the ancient asians would take elephants into battle with them
  7. I think the word we are all striving for here might be classism
  8. Honestly I always see shallan as looking like Karen Gillan (Amy pond from doctor who) in my head
  9. This might sound crazy but hear me out: could the origin really mean the origin of voidbringers? My random off the top of the head theory that came to life about 30 seconds ago is this: could the "origin" be where this [spoilers] bridge from edgedancer that nale talks about lands on Roshar? damnation mobile I can never get the spoiler tags to work
  10. I shall hold off on answering this till we have seen all orders
  11. Rock bonds with a spren. But do to his listener blood he bonds like one of them and becomes the Roshar Hulk
  12. A black shadowy figure of a lady with red eyes. Haven't really given much thought to the valley
  13. And thus dalinar breaks his oath and the stormfather is dead for good
  14. I believe that truthless is a punishment reserved for the higher up stoneshamans and that as the heads of the stoneshaman Religion it is their duty to hold the blades to keep them safe (How can they be stolen if they're bonded by the most revered in the country). I remember seeing a topic similar to this about a year ago and this to me seemed like the most feesable concept.
  15. And if I remember correctly szeth was made truthlessfor claiming that the voidbringers had returned. (Could be wrong there is a strong mist settled over my brain at times)
  16. What better punishment than to require someone to constantly do something they consider wrong/evil. Also pagerunner is right it's a religious thing
  17. Thanks for the WoBs. So what is the popular consensus of the asterisk he talks about. Is Nalan double wielding an honor blade and a living one. (Thanks to my upbringing I almost put double fisting lol)
  18. But did nale go back and get his blade? I thought I heard rumblings on here that nale has a nahel bond, which if is the case could mean that the blade he possesses is not his honor blade but in fact a living blade. Also just noticed and am curious is there some connection between nale and the nahel bond as the two names seem awfully similar
  19. Yeah I agree with you. My comment was basically just spitballing the first idea that came into my head lol. I hope for the type of depth you speak of and honestly kind of expect it from sanderson
  20. So braize is 9-centric that's interesting. I wonder if that may be because 9 is the inverse of 6 and 6 is widely reveared as being associated with evil in wester cultures
  21. I don't know of a WoB on it but I believe they can. Syl talks to kaladin about helping people kill before a long time ago. That to me sounds like she was once bonded to a windrunner in the time of the KR
  22. Right. I must of glanced over that part. We'll blame my namesake for that one. Firemoss will mess you up.
  23. @Landis963 did you just make a bioshock comparison? If so I applaud you
  24. I belive brandon said somewhere that there is 5 drafts to do. Also think he said something about it being a November release even if it is finished early
