    RACE!

I don't think any Steel Compounder could go that fast - Marasi had the Feruchemical gold keeping her whole. Moving so fast that you leave vacuum behind would tear standard Steelrunner apart.

    RACE!

That's not quite how it is. Edgedancers won't keep on accelerating once they start sliding. They keep their initial speed so long as they have Stormlight to sustain Abrasion. Meanwhile Steel Compounders have upper limit of speed and keep on using up Investiture to keep running. The thing is, Steel Compounders are always limited by friction and wind resistance. But if an Edgedancer is sliding down a slope she will keep on accelerating as gravity affects them. So on a race down a very, very long slope eventually Edgedancer is gonna get faster than a Steel Compounder and after a while she will catch up to him and then get ahead of him.

    RACE!

Given infinite Investiture, Steel Compounders are limited by friction and wind resistance - they have upper speed limit but can keep at it. Edgedancers are limited by their initial speed (the moment they use Abrasion they won't slow down and keep going steadily). So in scenario with infinite Investiture the winner would be Steel Compounder. Also, the same amount of Investiture is unfortunately meanless as we don't know how the same amount of Investiture translates into different systems and then there's the question of efficiency rates.
  4. That's from one of the epigraphs in WoR (chapter 84). It means "Hold the secret that broke the Knights Radiant. You may need it to destroy the new orders when they return.".
  5. White Sand prose though tommorow its Polish release of Arcanum so I will switch to Sixth of the Dusk and Edgedancer for a moment
  6. I doubt it - all Selian systems relay on Investiture filtering in from the Dor in Cognitive Realm. Unless Dakhor reverses that flow it seems unlikely (there's a high price of human lives but there is net increase).
  7. I've updated the main post with a few things.
  8. Would some gifs I have spent long time staring at help? I don't know but I hope so:
  9. (spoilered for a single curse word):
  10. I feel it's less "Adonalsium had the Vessel" as we understand it with the Shards and their Vessels; I think that in his case the host and power were one and the same, indistinguishable.
  11. Yeah, but @StrikerEZ both touched upon topics which are either controversial or... (My pet peeve: when I forget words in English)... offensive? That would do. Not the word I forgot but that fits too. And he did that in a tone of voice which is... (you know what? that's not my day)... which is... rude. Borderline rude/worse-than-rude, I hope you understand what I mean. And I have seen how discussions of some of that topics unfold in the internet. I haven't taken part in them; but I saw them and I can tell you: it was not calm. I'm sorry for how rough that post is, my vocabulary today is barely functioning.
  12. He wasn't resurrecting - he simply was not dying. Similarly Miles has blown his brains out and healed. On the other hand, Wax and Szeth had died and then resurrected. I don't know whether we could use Wax's example as Harmony was involved, both directly and indirectly. Nalan comments that he waited until Szeth's body was dead, his Connections broken and then he resurrected him before his brain had died. So it seems like clinical death.
  13. Waiting for hell to unleash here...
  14. A thousand thanks *bows*. Now, to change the font...
  15. He has also confirmed that Nightwatcher is for Cultivation what Stormfather is for Honor (or that it's very similar). It would make her a godspren.
  16. So I just got White Sand. It's .docx. The thing is, I'd prefer an epub or pdf so I can read it with calibre. But when I try it just opens it in WordPad (I haven't got the Microsoft Office yet). (Also, when opened in calibre, title changes to 'Dragon Steel'). Anybody could help? I'm afraid to look at anything in that subforum, cause spoilers. EDIT: Also, what's up with the underlined words?
  17. Typical blackmail tactic. CHAINS I HATE THEM
  18. I stop checking mail for a day or two and then it turns out White Sand had been mailed
  19. Realmatic puns!
  20. Because they are: weapons of a Shard (you could make Shardblades in different magic systems - Nightblood is a Shardblade and it comes from Endowment) literally made of a Shard (spren are pieces of Honor and Cultivation or a mix of them) So yes, that's completely intentional.
  21. Now, either I have to find some lost WoB that will prove me right (it has happened before: the Nahel bond being passed like a Seon) or stop telling people authoritatively it's between 5 and 6... I wonder which one is easier to do
  22. I think there's some potential in that idea but I have no idea what is it.
  23. That's new - I thought Second Era is firmly between two arcs of SA for quite a time now?
  24. Can you source the 10 years thing? So far I have only heard about 15-20 years.
  25. Cognitive is also mind dependant - see the space without minds shrinking (so outer space is greatly condensed which allows worldhoppers to walk to different planets). Also, as we know - a planet has to have enough sentient life on it to drop into Shadesmar and as we learn in AU essays - an object has to have significant cognitive apsect to it to be in Shadesmar (gas giants in Roshar have very minor manifestations in Shadesmar so no one has managed to observe them directly).
