  1. A Fullborn with just 10 metals is a physical god and Heralds have nothing on such a powerhouse. Compounding gold and Compounding steel are pretty much enough. Giving him 16 metals, which include Nicrosil Feruchemy AND Nicrosil Compounding? Constant Mistpoint on everything? I think even Hoid would be afraid. So yeah, against a Fullborn nobody is gonna win. An argument could be made that against TLR specifically they could try to cut away his bracers - after all, while he has almost a thousand years of experience with Metallic Arts, those years made him arrogant - if it wasn't for that, Vin would have died instantly. But against regular Fullborn who is not dependant on Compounding atium to stay alive? Not a chance... maybe if they Soulcast a nuclear bomb, I'm not sure Compounding gold could let you survive a nuclear bomb in point blank.
  2. I'll make the rabbits the usual sacrifice to the gods then. Dogs will die more randomly.
  3. And now I need to write a book with at least one dog dying each chapter.
  4. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transubstantiation I'm not comfortable discussing those things - I can't claim to be knowledgeable neither in theology nor doctrine
  5. Except Stormlight gives a powerful regeneration.
  6. It only needed one Breath: So I assume it's about "similar to life", not "similar to human".
  7. Spren. Yes. In Elantris when experimenting with AonDor Raoden used a string of Aons which did things in sequence. And I confirmed it's possible to assign Aons to another shape and then call them by writing the other shape:
  8. So, I attended a panel by Brian McClellan (author of Powder Mage Trilogy). Towards the end it was time for questions from the audience. And a guy goes with first asking whether Brian likes dogs (yes, he has three of them) and the saying that he hates Sanderson: he tried to read Mistborn but when he started Well Of Ascension he just quit. Why? Because Vin is a horrible person - because after killing the assassins she should have let OreSeur eat one of them but instead she had gone and killed a dog! This was really ironic for me since throughout the previous panels I attended both Brian and Graham Masterton mentioned that when they killed dogs in their books they got lots of hatemail - Graham mentioned he did horrible things to humans in his horror books, like (I'm going off my memory) nailing children to walls and such but it was only when he described dogfighting he got lots of backlash and hatemail from readers. People are weird.
  9. Thanks, I think I've never seen that WoB!
  10. Really? I don't recall such thing.
  11. No, I'm just kidding I don't recall firing fireworks either, it was always somebody else doing it (and here th traditional time to fire fireworks is New Year's Eve and that's pretty much it)
  12. But that's it: Rashek had a bigger threat to worry about and his inner thoughts (which would be without doubt interesting). Unless Kelsier has some otherworldy stuff at his hands (like a hostile Shard or running his own worldhopper organization) he could remake Scadrial with his own two hands. A Fullborn is a Physical God, save for Shards it's the most power we have seen one man to have.

    The Sovereign

Yep, that's Kelsier. The Bands are not actually the Bands of Mourning. The original Bands of Mourning were ripped off TLR by Vin and then atium sold by Elend. These Bands (let's say: Survivor's Spearhead) were crafted by Kelsier and are not actually Bands of Mourning, it's just that everyone thought those are the Bands of Mouring.
  14. Yeah, and what of it? You've never fired a mortar to top those little fireworks going off? Also, I highly recomend ground-to-air cluster missiles. Those make really nice explosions.
  15. You know, the big problem with Kelsier being now both a Fullborn and Sliver is that he is way too powerful for his PoV to be interesting. Which is a shame since I liked his PoV.
  16. Realmatically, what is the difference between Hemalurgic spike and an unkeyed (or perhaps unsealed) nicrosilmind? Both contain part of a Spiritweb but they are not the same thing. Is metalmind charged with a mix of Preservation & Ruin Investiture while spike is charged with Ruin's? (that doesn't entirely make sense either since spikes can be used to steal Preservation's Investiture in your soul...)
  17. Awakening makes things move (except for Type IV: Nightblood which instead does make people move him). Arrow is rigid and therefore cannot move. I doubt Awakening it would do anything.
  18. My headcanon is that choking on something is now sufficient to Snap. Testing the metals isn't hard, just swallow all sixteen, try to burn, vomit. Anyway, as far as Feruchemy goes, IIRC Feruchemists feel an affinity to the metal but I can't find the WoB.
  19. I'll have you know that waterworld I'm working on has kite-surfing mages fighting.
  20. The Matrix: alternatively:
  21. It would be really funny if it would have happened the day after tomorrow Right now it was and "I probably should get back to learning"... Seriously, go watch Dimension 404. So far I have seen two episodes and first two minutes of the third and I'm liking it so far.
  22. Episode 3 of Dimension 404 opens with making fun of people who put off work to the last moment and watch tv series instead of learning. Suffice to say, I turned it off The powers of irony!
  23. I'm guilty of inventing that
  24. Please refer to this collection of WoBs on the matter
  25. No. There is no such thing as "sub-sect of catholicism". The orders/convents you're refering to (jesuits, dominicanes etc) are composed of priests (there are also corresponding organizations of nuns). Average catholic is not bothered by those things as they have little impact on their life. But for example I find dominicanes to fit better with my tastes (maybe it's just that local ones are cool) so I and my family go to their church which is half a city away. Their priests' sermons are great (but that's rather a matter of a priest mind you). There are also those... I'm not sure of the term and I'm wary of the translation I found "academic ministry" - those are like clubs/communities for students and they are run by specific church (and by extension specific order/convent). It's voluntary and not really popular among the population - you can only be in if you're currently studying, I think. One I am in/was in has about... what, 200 students? I'm not sure I saw all of them. And it's one of the more popular ones.
