  1. Actually it was almost a month ago.
  2. I came up with "Wisdom of the Heralds" in the previous thread about aluminum on Roshar :| If this takes off as a meme, I'm just saying I started it
  3. Wisdom of the Heral... hey, @Shqueeves that's my line!
  4. Nope. I misremembered. Av's father boon was a heap of good cloth which he sold to feed his family; his curse was seeing world upside down. We don't know what is Taravangian's or Dalinar's boon and curse; we know what Taravangian asked for, we know his intelligence and inversely proportional empathy vary from day to day; we know Dalinar does not remember his wife. And that is all.
  5. I'm not sure what you mean. Vin was left only in her underwear (a shirt) which she then lost between being freed and the end of the fight. That's what the book says.
  6. Fixed that for you.
  7. Eh, of the few we know both the gift and the curse they seem to not be related in any way.
  8. cough Listener forms, probably Returned shapeshifting cough cough Royal Locks cough cough mentioned Nightwatcher curses, some Feruchemical powers, burning atium, Hemalurgy cough
  9. Now you're discussing out-world reasons. I'm just pointing out it could probably be possible for Nightwatcher to do; I'm not saying whether Brandon would or would not go this path.
  10. I could either get back to watching Samurai Jack (still in season two) or I could start watching Rick & Morty... hmm...
  11. @maxal, so far we know of people with a fraction of Shard's power that could push planets around, tilt its crust, flatten and raise mountains, genetically alter masses of people, create a whole new species, develop microorganisms for a specific task, modificate biosphere to be able to survive in ash-filled atmosphere etc. ... and it's causing autism that makes you draw the line of "that's impossible"? That Nightwatcher - that seems to be able to do very advanced neurological stuff, like reverting the vision upside down, deleting specific memories, making intelligence random, losing feeling in arms - could not do such a thing?
  12. Well, you have most of it but Shadows of Self and Bands of Mourning have quite a lot of stuff, mostly related to Metallic Arts but of deeper Cosmerical meaning. Aether and White Sand prose are not really relevant to the theories you have seen as anything that contains stuff from unpublished works is in dedicated subforums.
  13. I think it would be better idea to do this supplement after Lost Metal which will probably explain some of the newly discovered properties of metals, unkeyed metalminds and medallions.
  14. with two confirmations, the element is lerasium beyond doubt.
  15. I can't find it in theoryland though.
  16. Actually there is one more person speaking there: the first question wasn't asked by me but the rest were. It comes from here.
  17. But technically it would have worked.
  18. Fine. Here, something from my private collection, shown only once and seasoned ever since:
  19. We go by how long we've been active here though. My addiction manifests as the craving of the WoBs. That's how you spot a Sanderfan; you tell them you have some obscure WoB they haven't seen and they all light up.
  20. What if... we spike the spike?
  21. Sons of Honor are all about "ends justify the means" and that is in direct opposition to values of Radiants.
  22. @Orlion On a Cob you seem to dislike when the good worldbuilding is not matched by the rest of the components of a book. Worldbuilding in and of itself is not something one can like or dislike, much like one can't dislike plot for being there or character's development. You can't dislike those things for being there. You can dislike bad worldbuilding or bad plot, yes, but in and of itself? That doesn't make sense.
  23. Finished Crimson Campaign, diving into Autumn Republic. After that Stormlight reread.
  24. No. The problem is that it doesn't work like that. Not for us. There was a neat article on Wait But Why explaning it (I haven't finished reading it yet) that called it the Dark Playground. It's not that you make excuses - like "I'm too tired" or you watch some show or read a book or whatever; no, you know you should be learning, so your consciense doesn't allow you to do that. On the other hand, your messed up mind doesn't want to do stuff you should (like learning), so you end up doing some random dung. I once read several pages of Witcher III reviews on Steam, for example. I had no reason to, I didn't really want to. Per the old joke, the student facing the exams is capable of sweeping the desert. It will catch up to you; I also was like you, able to coast by without needing to really work. It makes stuff worse when you're required to actually do work. Don't count on doing something you love being able to give you motivation; it won't work like that. I'm sorry but it won't work.
  25. You could - theoretically - distill it out of the mists:
