  1. For chapter 15, the symbol used in the chapter header is inconsistent between the print and ebook editions: In print it's Shallan's, but in the ebook it's Adolin's. Additionally, in the ebook table of contents chapter 119 is listed as "The Sunmaker's Gambit," but the chapter itself is just titled "Sunmaker's Gambit."
  2. Thanks for reporting this! We have instructions on that page that are both supposed to stop Google from including certain bits of text in the preview and from showing any preview at all (for redundancy), but it seems Google is ignoring both of them right now. We'll look into a fix for this.
  3. Hi, thanks for noticing that! The Coppermind is a collaborative project that anyone can edit; we especially encourage people to fix simple errors like this on their own. If you're not sure how to do something, we have several help pages (Help:Markup would be the relevant one for link formatting) and are always happy to answer any questions.
  4. @LewsTherinTelescope had a method for doing this for individual pages (using the Rhythm of War summary page as an example, though the page name really only matters for stripping out the edit section links): Doing that for every page would be a bit of a project though, and since pages are continually being updated, it would only be good for so long.
  5. Thanks for catching that; they should definitely have a page. I just updated your permissions, so you should be able to create it if you go to https://coppermind.net/wiki/Zumble now. It might be helpful to use one of the other Rosharan lifeform pages as a sort of template. One minor note to go with the permissions, it's generally best to check in before making new content pages, to see if anyone has thoughts about things like what the page title should be or whether it should just be covered in a section on another page (though book releases will bring with them lots of simple cases like this and, as Treamayne mentioned, you're welcome to make as many drafts in your user space as you want). Also, I'm realizing I don't think anyone's mentioned this to you, we do also have a Discord server for conversations between editors; you're welcome to join if you find it easier to chat there. Thanks for the work you've been doing this past month!
  6. Yes, we are treating that thunderclast as Terushal; their description matches the center thunderclast in the artwork we got and it makes sense that they would be one of the thunderclasts we got a name for and art of. Thanks for working on the page!
  7. So, I can think of a few major challenges such a book would face. First, the Wheel of Time Companion was written by Team Jordan and published by Tor; at the end of the day, the Coppermind editors are just a bunch of fans and we don't have the same resources to dedicate to producing such a project. Additionally, Team Jordan had full access to RJ's notes and could be confident that everything they wrote was correct. We do our best with the sources we have, but sometimes characters in-world are wrong and sometimes WoBs are inaccurate (because Brandon changes his mind, misunderstands the question, or—rarely—lies to preserve a future reveal). On the wiki, it's easy to update things when we get new information, but parts of a printed book could quickly become inaccurate. Beyond that, the wiki isn't even fully updated for all books that are currently out, so some entries in such a book would either be incomplete or have to be left out. Compounding that issue, whereas the Wheel of Time Companion was written after all the books are finished, Brandon is still writing cosmere books, so with every release a physical book would fall further and further out-of-date. I think I can speak for all of our editors when I say that we deeply appreciate all the praise that the Coppermind has gotten. Its quality is the result of incremental improvements by a lot of editors over the past nearly 15 years and fixing it in a physical book would quickly lose that benefit.
  8. Yes, the edit summary doesn't show up on the actual page. It will show up in places like the page history and the list of recent edits, to help other editors understand what you're changing.
  9. They are separate accounts (and accounts on Arcanum are separate from both)
  10. A bunch of duplicate Mistborn-related tags, all related to colons. One of these was reported above and Weiry indicated the one with the colon should be used, but there was a concern about a technical issue with that at the time, which looks like it's been fixed. mistborn: secret history (13) vs mistborn secret history (4) mistborn: secret history 2 (8) vs mistborn secret history 2 (6) mistborn: the final empire (56) vs mistborn the final empire (7) mistborn: house war (3) vs mistborn house war (1) mistborn: birthright (24) vs mistborn birthright (10)
  11. Hi! No worries, you're definitely in the right place! This is something that we've talked about wanting to enable before. Unfortunately, the previews load the current text of the page even if you have the Time Machine active, so if someone who's using the Time Machine hovers on a link, they could potentially got spoiled for a later book. That would need to be resolved before we could enable the previews, so it's dependent on us having developer time for that (translation: we can't make any forecast about when it might happen). There may also be other issues; for instance, when we've tested out enabling them before, page images didn't load in the preview--that's probably not a hard blocker, but it could be related to larger problem we haven't seen yet. So, short answer, yes this is something we'd like to do, but we can't make any promises about if/when it'll happen.
  12. You'll need to get in contact with the Spanish admin team. It looks like they have an application form; you can also jump in the #translations channel of our Discord server if you want to talk with them before submitting that form.
  13. Yeah, we probably should have a conversation about this, especially with the non-cosmere anthology probably coming soon. Plus, the Skyward Flight collection is already in a weird place--unlike Arcanum Unbounded or the Legion anthology, it doesn't have its own page and its covers are just living in a section on the page for the whole Skyward series (though, with Skyward Legacy coming soon, we might need to do some reorganization there anyways). That said, I was primarily thinking about the Bibliography page and book pages in my initial response; I could see us potentially deciding to treat book covers differently from those questions.
  14. Hmm, that's a good question. I'm inclined to say no though; we do include some anthologies, but I think it'd be best if we don't bother with collections (or split volumes) from foreign publishers.
  15. My read on it is that Isaac has a project set on Darkside he's working on (working title The Arcanist) and that Brandon has a story set on Darkside that he wants to tell that he "might" work with Isaac on; it doesn't make sense to me for that to only be a "might" if those two are the same story, though admittedly that's not a lot to go on.
  16. Honestly, who even knows with stuff set on Taldain at this point. This WoB seems to indicate that the story Brandon wants to tell is separate from the one Isaac would be doing, so I think I'd lean towards keeping both entries, even if I don't really expect to get two Darkside books. Incidentally, I feel like we could probably use that WoB plus common sense (given that Brandon's re-doing the White Sand graphic novels as a prose book) to say that Brandon's Darkside story would likely be prose, not a graphic novel.
  17. Welcome! Currently the only translation projects we have are Spanish and Italian. Setting up a new one puts some significant demands on us (e.g., creating and storing a copy of almost the entire database) and also is a significant undertaking for the translators (since Brandon writes a lot), so it's not something that we do casually, but I think (based on discussion from when the Italian project was getting started; I can't speak for the rest of the staff here) we'd be open to considering new projects if there's a group of people who all really want to work on a particular language.
  18. Something that might help you wrap your head around the markup is that the <ref> tags are already built into the reference templates; e.g., {{book ref|sa1|1}} basically produces <ref>[[Summary:The Way of Kings#Chapter 1|''The Way of Kings'' chapter 1]]</ref>. Help:References is a good place to check if you're ever unsure about how to cite something.
  19. All good; it's an understandable mistake to make, especially since we do prefer Arcanum so much!
  20. We'd like to hold off on including any information from the RPG until the books are actually published, since things may change in the final version (not that I think this is likely too, but it's easier for us to draw a bright line). As I understand it, lacrossedaemon was asking about how to cite that post, since it isn't on Arcanum, which does belong here (the answer, if we were going to include this information right now, would be {{url ref}}; we do have ways to cite things that aren't on Arcanum, though Arcanum is preferred when it is available).
  21. Agreed; probably either a fixed-height, scrollable element (like Wookiepedia) or a collapsible element Given the amount of work this would require, I think we would want to have our long-term plan from the start I would agree with Treamayne that only going to the level of books, not chapters would be best (also, yes, linking to the summary pages sounds good and we would definitely want to have a standardized order--probably release order)
  22. Yeah, we've talked about potentially wanting to have something like this a couple times, but never been able to land on a format/way of organizing it that we liked. As far as Words of Radiance in particular, the change in the climax is mentioned in a footnote on the summary page; maybe that's what you were thinking of?
  23. Thanks for flagging this! I've removed the Compounding section on the nicrosil page, since it was basically just stating the definition of Compounding. I will note that the page (citing this WoB) does include divine Breath as something that can be stored in a nicrosilmind, which seems to point in the direction of nicrosil being able to store raw Investiture.
  24. Definitely would need more Keepers to weigh in before doing something this big. Also, if we were to do this, we'd probably want to find a more efficient approach than manually editing over a thousand pages.
