  1. I'm willing to go back and check when I get off work, but I thought there might have been at least one person who never checked in, and would be asleep. That said I'm not sure there escorts in a game with thirty people wouldn't be unreasonable.
  2. You can claim anything you like. I frequently claim several things in the course of a game. For that reason, even if you said you were what you are ( it's early and I can't remember the name. )P People might have lynched you anyway just to check. Edit. It looks like I actually did vote to disperse. Huh. Does that mean we cannot retract those either? Or would it be retracted if I had voted on someone else?
  3. Well played everyone! *They can't contribute if they can't keep up* *laughs evilly*. But seriously though. There is sooo much here. Props to anyone keeping up enough to draw lines from one person to another. I suspect that at least one of the four on the block is a constable, but I don't know which it would be. Straw doesn't seem bad to me. TGK sounds like TGK. Karnage's last post sounded pretty sincere to me. And I don't remember who else is up for the Lynch. Gaaahh I have to be up for work in sixish hours. Sorry, probably no vote from me this cycle. I'll do better on the next one. Edit: sorry, Sart, for leaving you off before. Of the four you'd probably be my vote. As it is I'm not sure you've done anything that suspicious, though, so I'll leave off for now.
  4. Ouch, but ok. Hmm things to say in my posts. I don't want to lynch Karnage, Straw, Pyromancer, Orlock or Matrims Dice. By no means do I believe any of you are village, but it would get pretty lonely in the thread here.
  5. Sorry, I should know better than to use acronyms when a third of the players this game are newer. NAI is Not an Indicator for alignment. Edit: Actually it's probably "Not Alignment Indicative" So I've had that wrong for ages.
  6. I can confirm this is pretty NAI for Coda. Good question! I won't be voting Karnage for a bit because I still feel bad for how hard I tunnelled on you last game @Karnage. However, I would like an answer to this: bold mine.
  7. My point is we have more deaths and lynches to reach lylo than we normally would. A lot of information comes from who is voting for whom and therefore having extra lynches and cycles lends itself to giving us more time to solve the game.
  8. Mind=blown Dowser is interesting in that he has a pretty normal village win condition. He has to find and kill all the constables, not just the 5th Octant Constable. He just gets the extra gift of learning who is either bleeder or the village bartender. You are also told which it was which is nice and subverts the possibility of inadvertently revealing a village kill role. I'll admit I am afraid that this game may be a little information heavy, but I'm sure it will be fine. With gambling Tycoons in the mix, we are probably playing with more like 34-ish players. We get almost as much information out of lynching them as we would by killing someone, and we retain their votes. It will be very interesting to see what roles the elims got. What would be really funny is if both Dowser and 5th Constable both were gambling tycoons, though I'm not sure Joe is quite that sadistic.
  9. I'm just going to say, I absolutely love this mechanic and will probably incorporate it in future games I run. I'm very down for this. I super believe in you! I agree. The rule is in the second paragraph in the housekeeping spoiler of the OP. Edit: actually the third paragraph.
  10. haha, it was meant as a joke since we definitely aren't ready to disperse (unless that's what I want you to think ). Nah, this is a pretty solid question. I typically spend day one making tasteless jokes (for example, see above ) and voting on people who haven't shown up yet. It's also the day with by far the most role play if that's the kind of thing you enjoy. It's also fun to annoy people with secret codes that start out crackable and build to stupidly complex. Day one is the 'just for fun day.' Then at the end we lynch the person who looked at you cross-eyed and wait to see who dies. Cycle three is really the start of the actual game where analysis can kick in. That's just my two cents, though. I just had two people ninja me, so this is all redundant now, but I'll post it anyway.
  11. I don't know about you guys, but I think it's already pretty ok to disperse! Who's with me? No one? Okay fine disperse
  12. Hello everyone! Welcome to the new and returning players! This should be a lot of fun with so many of us! Now to go reread the rules and remember what I signed up for last week.
  13. Thank you, Devotary! This is exactly what I was wondering. I remembered something happened around the time Bard was expelled, but I did not remember what it was. I am willing to believe the evil team is Lopen, Experience and Karnage. I am less willing to believe Devotary is an elim, but it would not be the first time I was fooled by eliminators distancing. I am also getting bad vibes from Araris, but I am falling back on my earlier reads and deciding to trust him. Elandera set up one of her contacts to fae lore me and my actions still went through. Are you saying you targeted him? Also, I'll pm you as soon as I get off work
  14. Interesting... I guess I'm not. I trusted both Fura and Elandera despite not having a lot of reason to. It kind of paid off since Elandera was able to prove my alignment. Sadly she is expelled. Karnage is definitely bad. Also I guarantee I am getting his 5 demerit points, so I am absolutely expelled at this point. That being the case, it would be wasteful to not vote the last chance I get. Rath, Burnt there is enough Demerit points to expel all of us, so I will accelerate your plan. Look at that. I guess I did end up splitting my votes this game.
  15. Solid point. I can certainly get behind that strategy. I really want to vote on rath but for now, I'll let you expel me. It's been a few turns since I've been to imre. How much are assassins going for? My guess is the masters will take a few hits before they die. I kind of wish I were an Alchemist now. Can you remind me why we do not trust Lopen? There were a few people who suspected him, but that was when I was less active. I am totally down to kill him. Just after experience and Karnage.
  16. Ouch! Those stab votes though. Is this just because you can't hit a master? I am not sure why else you would be targeting me. I do not want to vote because I think the masters are the skindancers, but I may have to spread a little of the love to avoid expulsion. I am not sure about Burnt or Rath, but I will agree with you on Devotary. My highest suspects are Karnage and Experience. Will you take your own advice from last month and reveal what field you became a master in? Karnage already said he doesn't think that sharing would help the village, but you and I disagree. I would also like to hear from @Experience. What Field did you become a master in? To make my post a little longer here is my understanding of each player. El The Elkanah: Village and hoping to grow up to be a master some day. Burnt: Cleared by linguistic analysis (Straw) Devotary: Cleared by voting patterns (Hael) Rath: 7 posts this game. Death on the streets? @Rathmaskal?? Masters Araris: Cleared by voting patterns (Hael) Experience: Flying under the Radar Karnage: Mostly just a gut feeling... Also process of elimination Lopen: Feels aight to me, but I could be wrong. Hope this helps. Edit: I guess I won the Free For All Game I'm the last Edema Ruh at the university
  17. I mean, I recommend using the wind to create a vacuum around someone's head forcibly pulling the breath from their lungs and keeping it that way for three minutes... but that's just me.
  18. I thought a lot about not having the elims not know each other at all when I reran QF 11. You'd just have to have a bigger team and tailor the roles. I don't like the idea of not looking, but not going to the doc would be a fun way to play
  19. I super agree with thisnot at all because I'm afraid I'm putting elevation points into a field that has already been taken Oops, I meant to quote this in my last post. I blame being on mobile. Just pretend this preceded my interesting play paragraph. And I somehow missed where Fura already came up with this plan I had more, but my phone decided to delete it and moved a quote I can not remember to the start of the post. Instead of fighting my phone, I will start a new post on my computer.
  20. Yeah, I tried and failed. "If Hael had been there, could he have succeeded?!" Probably. But then, it was his team that double tapped Xino. Sooo he probably wouldn't have tried. Honestly a lot of my early game analysis was prewritten in case I was an edema ruh. It was a good choice because it kept me in school longer than I might otherwise have been able. A super interesting play here would be to have elim!straw clear two skindancers then remove him from the game without revealing his alignment letting us all assume he was good. I don't think that's what they did, but that's exactly the stupidly contrived plan I would get shot down in a dead doc for, so I thought that I would share it. This is super interesting. So any El The we lynch has as good a chance of being a Master as being expelled as far as we know. I'm leaning village on Fura for now, so I don't know if I'll even vote this cycle. Of the people for whom I can vote, Araris and Devotary are pretty solid. I've chosen to trust Elandera and Fura. I'm grudgingly taking Straw's word about Burnt which only leaves re-expelling Rath. Which feels bad, but it might be what I go for. Another 200 words coming up
  21. Not a problem at all! One of my favorite things about forum mafia is that it accommodates people around the world. I will be asleep when the game starts, but the cycle lasts 48 hours, so get on when you have time. Edit: what he said
  22. I'm not Joe, but yes you'll get a pm that will tell you your role. You use your action by responding to that message
