  1. IIRC and I may not be doing so. The nicrosil misting is in the 1980's ish setting not Wax. Wax wasn't in the original plan.
  2. Purely, no. However they are greatly effected by the skull. People experienced with it can usually create a model that is in the ballpark of what a person looked like from just a skull.
  3. Personally I think that Nale is insane and lies. I don't think what Szeth is becoming has anything to do with the real skybreakers.
  4. So Hoid is the Doctor? =P To answer the thread, I'd go for being a Fullborn, even if I had to spike people to do it.
  5. What does powerful mean? Is the muscle laden body builder more powerful than the tiny martial artist? TLR had immense power, Kelsier had skill. Allomantically Kelsier wins. TLR only wins in the story because he's a feruchemist. Give Kelsier the powers of a full born and I think TLR would have died.
  6. Yet put a Skybreaker into Scadrial during the final empire and they would support the nobility in oppressing the skaa. You can find other various situations in real world history, where mass atrocities were committed by a country and that was ok by that countries laws. Laws sometimes need to be broken, and that is the flaw with the skybreakers.
  7. Considering the rest of the Heralds don't seem to be in much better shape after a 4500 torture free vacation, his mind has to be seriously broken.
  8. We also know that the 17th shard is looking for him. Perhaps there was nothing going on so he decided to hide there. After all, I doubt many people would think to look there.
  9. I play as well but very casually. Log on do my quests for gold and log out usually.
  10. Team Ultron! Carbon based life is so untidy.
  11. I reread the WoT recently and was saying blood and bloody ashes by the end of it.
  12. Agreed, I'm an athiest and if you startle me or something else my swearing may very well start that way. Just thought to add. It seems to be that we (humans in general) pick up the general curses in the area we're in. It's possible in my mind that if living on Roshar for long enough even someone from elsewhere in the cosmere might start to use Rosharan curses.
  13. Situational, but overall my point was I could see soulcasting being used to hack more investiture from another system, maybe, but not being able to hack more investiture out of it's own magic system.
  14. So I've been thinking about this. As much as it sounds like a good hack of the system, I don't think it will work. On the surface it seems like the compounding that we see in Scadrial. However that took two magic systems to work. Now soulcasting an awakened object to turn the breaths to stormlight, that maybe. I just don't see it possible in the one magic system by itself.
  15. My take on what Dalinar was told was that he would have become a squire, and if you think about it it, it would make sense to have knights rising out of the squires as they would be put into the same types of situations as radiants and thus would have plenty of opportunities to attract a spren.
  16. Reading this has me imagining Lift eating a bowl of chocolate frosted sugar bombs from the old Calvin and Hobbes strips.
  17. Might have just used diamonds as they're mentioned a few times for providing the best light to see by because of the lack of color.
  18. Actually that is very much not true. You can learn to deal with it and function with it better but you always feel it. Nerve damage has left my leg feeling like it is on fire for the past nine years.
  19. Ok, that was awesome.
  20. I was thinking about it in terms of TLR's eventual atium shortage problem if Vin hadn't killed him. Where at somepoint, probably still far far in the future he wouldn't have been able to eat atium fast enough to burn his storages, and thinking if he was flaring all those thousands of years, would he be an atium age savant. So in this case there would have been a reason for it to be flared for a long period of time.
  21. I agree with Cap, but still want him to take a repulser blast to the face. Don't know why but I have it out for the Cap and Superman on general principle.
  22. You mean like burning a feruchemical store? I think the OP has an idea that is just crazy enough that if I was a soulcaster on Roshar I'd have to try it.
  23. I was trying to look for any WoB's on this, but as I didn't find anything, and I'm fairly lousy at searching for them, I thought I'd ask if anyone had ever asked Brandon if a Twinborn that had two of the same metals or a fullborn, could become a savant of burning their feruchemical storages.
  24. Depends on where it is. The human body is kind of crazy. I had a biology teacher in High School was a good example of this. He was the victim of an accidental shooting when he was a teenager. He had a bullet lodged in his skull still and had had it there for 40 years. It wasn't safe to remove it without causing more damage, and since he could live with it there.....
