  1. In Calamity, it is revealed that David has a swear filter on his mobile. For example, *crap* (not crap) comes out as koala. Would the all-powerful Staff of the Shard be willing to adapt the Shard's swear filter to match David's filter?
  2. How many storming Josh's are there on the Shard? I am aware of three so far. (Yes, it's my name)
  3. When did a Introduce Yourself post turn into an RP?
  4. Try the root beer. Last I checked, it wasn't Hemalurgic.
  5. Preservation: 8 Ruin: 3 Endowment: 10 Honor: 9 Cultivation: 10 Autonomy: 13 Devotion: 8 Dominion: 9 Adonalsium: 11
  6. I'm making a Cosmere Lawful/Chaotic etc spectrum, and I have everything but Chaotic Evil. Odium pictures are nowhere to be found, and Ruin is taken. (Neutral evil.) also, where should Hoid go?
  7. Also, in Calamity, David asks Mizzy why her team--made of Abraham and Mizzy--wasn't called Team Black, and then she goes on for a bit about pre-Calamity views on race. And sports teams. Anyway, if David were black, the entire conversation would make less than no sense.
  8. By dividing himself, he united the people. I wonder if Sanderson realizes the poetry.
  9. Also in Calamity, we have linguistic Epics. The one that could speak any made-up language is probably the weakest. Although that would be seriously awesome.
  10. Maybe Cephandrius is his real name, and Sanderson changed his mind about Midius.
  11. I noticed that Hoid gave Spanky a glowing substance of sorts, and rubbed it on his oar as well, allowing it to work. The people of the Ire also drank a glowing substance, presumably to remain in the Cognitive Realm without difficulty. I submit that Spanky, after Hoid left, ran out of Investijuice and faded into the Beyond.
  12. What about kandra and mistwraiths? Do they appear as people, or mistwraiths?
  13. Also, just to clarify, the Cognitive Realm is only Shadesmar on Roshar. The Cognitive Realm of Scadrial has a different name.
  14. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that silver is just unburnable, as opposed to aluminum, which is an Allomantic black hole. Remember, in TFE, Vin asks about whether her earring could be used against her, and he said no, due to the metal piercing her skin, not because you can't Push and Pull silver.
  15. If Sanderson ever wants to reduce his fanbase by 10-90%, he brings Stick back and has a random Soulcaster with a fabrial turn Stick into a piece of "useless" metal. But if Shallan does it...
  16. I am just freaking out over Cephandrius over here.
  17. Kelsier is more stubborn than a tree stump planted in Steelheart steel. If you give him even the tiniest chance of getting what he wants, he will tear apart Scadrial to get it. He almost did, actually. It was an accident, but still.
  18. The weapon no longer exists in its original form? Further evidence for it being aluminum
  19. The curious thing to me is that silver can repel the Shades, not aluminum. It could be simply a case of ralkahest (or however you spell it) where they call the metal the wrong thing, but maybe not. There is no Shard on Threnody, but apparently Seons--and perhaps other Splinters--would manifest as Shades. Perhaps Threnody's magic system has initiation by death, similar to Nalthis.
  20. It could be that having a damaged Spiritweb allows greater connection to the goings on inside the Cognitive Realm, specifically the presence of Shards and, in Kelsier's case, Cognitive Shadows. Remember, Kelsier was already able to communicate with madmen, as well as those who were spiked. He lost this power after he Ascended, but presumably regained the power of communication. So, the communication power of madmen was added to the power of the spikes, allowing Kelsier to physically manifest.
  21. You know, a popular sci-fi book was written with no plot. It's called the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Just thought I'd point that out.
  22. "I am hope" Obviously, Kelsier was the incognito holder of the Shard Hope, and since TLR didn't have the power of a Shard, he couldn't destroy Kelsier.
  23. Storms. Oh well, maybe Ruin's corresponding metal is actually Bendalloy. It makes more sense anyway.
  24. Since everything is made of Investiture, perhaps it just turns into Investiture. On that principle, I thought of a device that turns matter into Investiture, which can be stored in beakers like when you separate hydrogen and oxygen through electrolysis. So you separate Scadrial matter into Preservation and Ruin investiture, which can then be condensed into Lerasium and Atium.
