  1. I got a WoB(!) from Twitter, and I'm not sure what it means, exactly.
  2. I just got my first WoB! The answer wasn't what I wanted, but I was so excited about it regardless that I literally started jumping up and down in exitement, then stopped, then started again. Here's the WoB, anyway. I'm not sure exactly what it means... I'm off to Cosmere Theories!
  3. I want to compile a complete list of every way known to Sanderfan for getting a WoB. So far I have for certain: Book signings/release parties Customized signed books AMA's on the Shard (any word on when the next one is btw?) AMA's on Twitter AMA's on other sites like Goodreads, etc. I'm sure there are others. I'm just not sure what they are. The reason I ask is because I have many questions for Sanderson that I personally want to ask him. However, due to circumstances beyond my control, it is very difficult for me to go to a signing, even though I live in Utah.
  4. My Theorysense started tingling when you talked about the draining of Investiture by the weapon. I think that the weapon was aluminum, which fits in with your theory. I love it.
  5. Yeah, he's a gifter. Regeneration, spacial manipulation, and enhanced mental capabilities. He also has high-precision low-range sonic manipulation and touch-activated technokinesis. He acquired high-level time manipulation and teleportation, as well as the ability to make near-indestructible buildings, from Epic-derived technology.Weakness: Unclear. Limitations on his sonic powers seem to indicate wood, but his capsule for time travel is made of the stuff, which makes that unlikely. His weakness seems to be people dying, however that is a shaky claim at best. Do not engage. In full High Epic rage, he has destroyed an entire planet. Why no, I haven't given this any thought.
  6. And, perhaps for him, it was lethal or banishing to his world.
  7. I thought Firefight was David's dad in the other universe...
  8. I would like to finish off this thread by stating, once and for all, Tia didn't know Prof's weakness. The members of the 17th Shard, on the other hand, are apparently quite good at guessing it. We got close with him being afraid of contests.
  9. There are no actual spoilers, it's just big. And interesting.
  10. That's not a very nice thing to call Sazed! Trell, though...
  11. They are all quite mad there. I still visit occasionally, but it's insane. Some of the Epics there actually are insane.
  12. Here's how the forum works: For the most part, cookies offered are Hemalurgic spikes in disguise. Anyway, first block of subforums is for miscellaneous things, Introduce Yourself, discussing the Shard and how it works, and discussing the Coppermind, the wiki for Sanderson's books. Next is the theory boards. Cosmere theories have almost no spoiler tags except for new books, like Bands of Mourning and Secret History. Then there are theory boards for individual Cosmere books, with spoiler boards where appropriate. Then there are non-Cosmere theory boards, like Reckoners and Rithmatist. Then there are the community subforums, like general discussion, guilds, etc. And that's the basics of the Shard.
  13. WayneSpren, is that cookie at all Hemalurgic? That is a possibility on this site, members of the Dark Alley often offer new members Hemalurgic spikes disguised as cookies.
  14. I would say that it is possible, but would require some serious hacking of magic.
  15. Or it could be that a mighty, semidivine, shapeshifting, immortal being with a preference for taking human shape would be hesitant to admit that it is possible for him to become a rabbit.
  16. If anyone wants to give you a cookie, check it for metal. I'm being serious.
  17. I still am not sure how they can do long-term Allomancy without Metalborn on standby.
  18. Only if the identity is blank.
  19. That makes a lot more sense. Thanks for clearing that up.
  20. You are both on!
  21. But were the bullets affected by the bubble?
  22. And he only wrote three books in that time...
  23. Because magicians aren't real. Awakeners, Surgebinders, Allomancers, Feruchemists, Hemalurgists, Rithmatists, Oculators, Smedrys and such are a different question altogether, as their power source is well accounted for.
  24. I'm not sure if this is a mistake or not, given the blunders Amazon has made with Sanderson books in recent history.
  25. I am fascinated with exactly how well aluminum neutralizes Investiture, including the possibility that it was the weapon against Adonalsium. I currently think that it may transfer Investiture from the Spiritual Realm to the Cognitive Realm, but I have very little evidence of this. Basically, it's because the Cognitive Realm on Sel is very dangerous, and there is a lot of Cognitive Investiture floating around.
