  1. It may just be more the norm that planets have 2 or more Shards on them than otherwise. Or at the very least that we will see more planets with 2+ Shards on them than otherwise (more conflict, donchaknow).
  2. She's definitely learned to channel those tendencies into more useful actions, even if the core of "compulsive preparation bordering on paranoia" hasn't changed. Furthermore, she's working with Wax rather than against him- compare the Yomen-Ostlin wedding in AoL to the New Seran soiree in BoM.
  3. Is it even a fabrial? I assumed it was just a symbolic badge of shame.
  4. Soulcasters don't have spren in them, as far as we know. Of course, that could be wrong, seeing as the grand majority of the ones we've seen are broken.
  5. Occam's Razor is a thing, on occasion. There's no reason to think of convoluted alternative schemes every time a RAFO comes our way. Besides, if Hoid wanted to get as much out of the bead as possible, he'd burn like half of it and use the rest as a metalmind. (Also, @Dunkum: WoB during the Firefight tour says he's never used hemalurgy)
  6. How? If Hoid had allomancy without lerasium, he wouldn't go after the lerasium in the first place. It'd be redundant. Unless his endgame really is the assimilation plot. Also, where's the evidence of allomancy before WoA (when he got the bead)? The first we see of Hoid's allomancy is the WoR flashback, which takes place 3 and a half years before the main plot of WoR, which definitely takes place after the Catacendre. (Because "Way of Kings and Alloy of Law are pretty close to one another" according to the West Jordan SoS signing)
  7. I don't believe purebred skaa heritage constitutes enough soul damage to disqualify one from worldhopping. (And it would be soul damage, given the fact that Drabs are missing a vital component of their soul) I assumed the Balance of skaa and noble was just like two different artificial ethnicities.
  8. I'm saying that feruchemy has nothing to do with lerasium. If Hoid drew upon Fortune, using that "unknown application of feruchemy" that WoB told us about all the way back during (IIRC) the WoK tour, then he had it before using the lerasium bead (and he definitely did burn at least some of it, otherwise he wouldn't be able to use allomancy in WoR), and therefore the lerasium bead is not required for feruchemy. EDIT: With regard to whatever the rust lerasium does; 17th Shard exclusive interview, Oct 2010, Question 24: "Think of Lerasium as a metal anyone can burn." "By burning [lerasium] you gain access to those powers. It rewrites your spiritual DNA." Nothing on there about needing an extra Snap.
  9. Ack, accidentally downvoted you, Twelfth! Sorry! Someone please fix.
  10. Because if lerasium wasn't a sure-fire way to grant Allomancy, its utility to Rashek as a way to quickly gain allies during the formation of the Final Empire would be less than optimal. And Hoid already had some form of feruchemy, in advance of his decision to swipe the bead. Because he would otherwise have taken both beads. (The powers granted by Feruchemy aren't unknown to the cosmere-aware; e.g. the Ire knew it was possible for someone to "draw upon Fortune")
  11. I always thought Sazed's nickname was "sah-zay," but that's just me.
  12. Hoid had the feruchemical power before getting allomancy - otherwise he would have taken both lerasium beads instead of leaving one for Elend. And if it didn't bypass the Snap, then lerasium would be useless. I believe we know nothing about Yolish race #3.
  13. Marasi is always mare-uh-see for me. MeLaan is meh-lawn, TenSoon is ten-zoon. When I first read Mistborn, Sazed was suh-zedd, but nowadays he's sah-zed.
  14. I would call a practitioner of Hemalurgy a "Hemalurgist," further defined as "one who creates or implants a Hemalurgic spike." This has the benefit of disqualifying the victims of Hemalurgic Spiritweb alteration (the koloss and Paalm's chimerae, for example), while catching the people who actually do the Hemalurgic stabbaging.
  15. Two things: One, Hoid got his Mistborn powers from lerasium, which bypasses the snapping thing. Two, healing by magic works off of self-image. Hoid sees himself as able to use those powers, so therefore the relevant cracks are maintained.
  16. Hoid's name in the draft of Partinel was Midius, not Meridus, and perfect pitch only requires 200 Breaths, not 300. Restares is the leader of the Sons of Honor, and Thaidakar is the leader of the Ghostbloods.
  17. Yes, given that "Adonalsium's universe" is the Cosmere.
  18. Taldain has a Shard - Autonomy. And information regarding your question can probably be found in Sixth of the Dusk (which never had a Shard) or Elantris (Which had two Shards, both now dead).
  19. If he was storing it in Nightblood, it would have been consumed as soon as he drew Nightblood in the climax. He transformed during the denouement, which means it wasn't, which means he didn't. Besides, there are loads of tricks that Sanderson withheld from Vivenna's viewpoint and therefore our own, including the ability to keep control of lots of Breaths on the fly.
  20. None that we know of. Khriss and Nazh are tracking down the evidence of such on Scadrial in BoM but it's unconfirmed.
  21. The glowing liquid Investiture he applied to it and to his oar, perhaps?
  22. Hallandren currency is, I believe, coins (with an exchange rate for Breath). Much like in Kae, where it was coins. Or on the Eelakin isles, where it was coins. Or at Silence's waystop, where it was coins.
  23. Between the end of Nightblood and the start of Way of Kings. Yes I realize this answer is entirely useless.
  24. They look into the Spiritual Realm, where all the possible paths leading from that particular moment are right there in front of you, in exhaustive detail.
  25. In so far as the Intents matter to Investiture (Which is not as far as you might think), it would have something to do with telling something's soul "I think it happened this way" and being believed. Much like Soulcasting is based off of the Surgebinder's personal charisma.
