Usually (with some specific exceptions) the magic systems works everywhere, some are easier to export off world, other are harder. But it's more tied to the Magic's need than a Specific block. For Istance, as you said someone may gain Breath and use them everywhere in the cosmere...OF course in places different from Nalthis He would have hard time to find more Breath (except from some interworld seller or something like that). A Surgebinder (like Kal) would be a Surgebinder almost everywhere in the Cosmere (Honestly I am unsure of this, but just because Splinters like Spren has problem to leave the homeland) and in theory he may use his powers on other Shardworld...If he manage to have fuel, He probably may use other kind of Investiture, but some planets are very poor of avaliable Investiture (thinks for example to Scadrial). I cited Scadrial, well Scadrial's Magic is the hardest to gain (it's tied to genetics) but the easier to export in other worlds. For now the real "impossible to export" Magic Systems are the Selish One, the location is really a critical part of how they work and simply you can't use them off-world

How do you store fractions of Investiture, with Nicrosil?
Yata replied to SkyBolt's question in Cosmere Q&A
Yes but it's an example of how the Allomancy may have different tier of power....Hemalurgy simply add strenght, for the purpose of the topic there is no difference between an "hemalurgy gift" or "natural power". Anyway returning to the main topic, I think we have a Wob in the last tour that destroys the idea of "you may become a stronger allomancer than the one who fills the Nicrosilmind" but I have not actually the time to find it. In my own opinion Nicrosil store section of Spirit-Web so when you decide to store some of it, you have really little finesse about How much Store/Tap...Or to be more precise, you can Store/Tap as hard as you want, but your partial S-Web probably is not functional to all the %. -
Surelly Weight manipulation helps a lot....Wax may adjust his path with a finesse that ful Mistborn would envy. Using both precise Push and the right weight

Nono it's a different situation, the Mist Spirit killed Alendi's friend to avoid them to go too close to the Black Lake (Ruin's Perpendicularity), Alendi was no near to the Well of Ascension, therefore the "heal it with the power" doesn't apply there. Much more, Preservation stabbed Elend under...."peculiar circumstances" it would be unable to do something like that without those oddities.

How you guys think the Spiritual Realm functions?
Yata replied to Blightsong's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I agree with all the rest, except this...I don't think this is true, because the Spirit-Web changes over time and the Identity remain almost the same. For example Spiking out something from a Feruchemist allow the reciver to access his Metalmind. But of course the reciver will have a patchwork of his own and the unluckly feruchemist's spirit-web. Also a Feruchemist's Spirit-Web (sorry to use always Feruchemy, but it's actually the best Identity-in-action's model for now) changes naturally over his own life, connections to new places, time, people, concept (just see Sazed over the Mistborn trilogy) and He is still actually able to access the old Metalmind (One question I wanted to make to Branson is actually an extreme version of this: If a Feruchemist creates a Metalmind in his first years, after many years would be able to tap it when he is really really old ?). The problem here, there are some counter-intuitive things with Identity, I hope to have a chance to figure them out -
You have to add: "shooting at her parent, while this parent try to kill her" Honestly Shallan is a complex character, she was broken before all the mess we know of her family happened....I can't really try to figure how her psyche is right now. One of the Oathbringer's evolution I want to see more, it's about her and her new development now she forced her mental block

There is probably something hidden in that event and He simply don't want to tell us, I think...Maybe Harmony may solve some doubt, with his Powers' Chronology

Vin didn't appear "peculiar" form the Cognitive, I assume the Sliver-status carries some features within your Soul's look. Rashek looks unique, but he is also very powerful, I will also add that Leras see Rashek as a marvelous being because with the Sliver status He was "preserved", He didn't never mention something like that for Vin. PS: So also there Brandon itself confirm the point of everybit of Preservation's Investiture is ok to reach godhood -
with a regular Awakening I think it will work in this way (you have to reach before the Hight Heighenings before). You awake the Ice with X Breath (I think you will need a lot of Breath for this, but ok) then the Ice for some reason melt...You will be (in theory at least) able to awake water but it would requite more Breath than Ice....So the Ice melt an in the aftermath the formed water has not enough energy to do anything. PS: Probably you may reduce the Breath requirement with some trick, as use blood insted of water or Soulcasting a man into Ice and then use that Ice as subject

Actually it's hard to say...If they has some time before go stupid...they may flee in the Cognitive to avoid the situation (something like what Pattern did, but he had a lot of time to do this). As far as I can understand of the bond, a Radiant Spren who misses his/her bond will suffer quite in second a mental regretion...We saw the Bonds are released at death (physical death, not spiritual) so in the end it's theoretical possible for a Radiant Spren to return mindless after his Radiant was lethal injoured but then healed (of course is a speculation)...This would be a nice question to mister Sanderson

What happened to the metals when Harmony came into power?
Yata replied to OblivionRapture's topic in Mistborn
Mist snapped people for thousands of years, not only in the last days of the Ash World. Leras putted in place the whole system when He was still in full mind. Yes but many bindpoints may be in not lethal places, if the Hemalurgy didn't trigger the victim may easily survive to those. -
What happened to the metals when Harmony came into power?
Yata replied to OblivionRapture's topic in Mistborn
You may have right, but I think Sazed fixed the Snapping manipulation, so no more Seers once the old one died. About the Atium's use for Hemalurgy...it may be usefull but no very much. You have to want to store the specific attribute to performe Hemalurgy, therefore an Atium's spike isn't really very good. It was an huge help in the era1 when some of the 16 metals weren't avaliable, now you may craft spikes of every compatible metal -
This may be a really strange but possible hypotesis...I had only to check if in the Shallen's Flashback the Blade is already a deadblade. I am a magician, BlackYeti ;-)

What happened to the metals when Harmony came into power?
Yata replied to OblivionRapture's topic in Mistborn
Possible, unsure but possible. As far as I understand only the Atium works in this way and only because it's blocked in a close system...Any other metal (Lerasium included) would return at its rightful source (Preservation with the Lerasium, both Preservation and Ruin with any other mundane metal). The end-positive/neutral/negative is from the user's pov, this mean that if the user gain power is end-positive whatever the external resources are consumed or not. Possible but without Mistborn, the Atium isn't really so usefull to anyone. -
@Savanorn actually no, A Kr's death isn't a problem for the spren (sure sadness and trauma but nothing else). Much more, Helaran's Blade had a gem in it, the sign of a Deadblade's bond. We may also add the fact the Blade is no different now from before (The Randiant's Blades glow and become dull after the "Spren's Death". EDIT to add a relevant WoB:

This night (thanks Insonnia) I had an Idea, maybe it's not the best one...but it's simply and functional. The Savantism is a problem who arose mainly in the metallic arts (with so many powers, it easy to have some continuity issues with their wild developments) but we know Harmony has some control over them. Brandon may explain some minor change to the Savantism with an Harmony's action to slight change the Allomancy's inner work.

I recently got an haircut after 3 months of wild growth....I am constantly wearing a Hat now XD
-
Also you have to notice that D&D would probably search Vessels indipendently. Only if something really strange happens, both of they will find the same candidate as best option
-
Ah ok, but remember the VoidSpren is not Odium's Mind. It's something born from Odium but quite indipendent by him (like every Radiant Spren are not strictly H&C). A Listener is fertile soil for their manipulation, when also not sentience spren change the way a Listener thinks or feels

@Thanatos I have to ask you, Did you read the first Mistborn's trilogy ? If no, please stop to read this post. About Ascend with an Highstorm, to me it's possible in theory...But you would be unable to asborb too much of it. Remember the Stormlight's leak scales with the amount you keep. You will reach a threeshold where the leak will be equal to your ability to drawn in. Same thing probably with Breath, just I have no idea of the amount of Breath needed....probably more than the whole Nalthis's popolation -
I don't think Odium may directly control The Listener in VoidForms at the moment. He as far as we know isn't on Roshar, He is bound to Braize...Therefore He can't extend his mind to reach Roshar and take control of the Voidbringer...Probably through the Voidspren, he may influence them mainly with his Mandate and with some indirect way....But nothing like we saw with Ruin and the Inquisitors (probably something less then the Control Ruin had with Marsh while He was trapped)

How you guys think the Spiritual Realm functions?
Yata replied to Blightsong's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Well Stormlight is described as lightbulb to the Spiritual Realm, but much more I think there isn't a real source difference between for example Mist and Well's liquid...are simply the same substance in different state and concetration (the same with the Lerasium of course). You may in theory distill Lerasium from the Mist or some other trick like that. About the "bleeding" part, probably I don't follow you...can you explain me better what you want to say ? -
Dark One may be integrated in some world he already planned as relevant for the Cosmere (for example Vax)
