  1. All Parshendi may become Voidbringer, but probably "Voidbringer" is a word used to design the whole Force of Evil (like you may "Demon" in Christian Literature). For example no one (except the very informed one) may never talk (or probably remember) words like "thunderclast" or "Midnight essence"
  2. Well there are the Thunderclast (se saw them in the WoTK Prologue and at least in one Dalinar's Vision) in the Odium's forces
  3. For my Roshar's Theory: If Adonalsium left a very big chunk of his investiture in a Shardworld. May this investiture give birth to a Magic System ?
  4. Do You mean that to you the "memory erase command" is an advanced application of "command break" ?
  5. I am quite sure there is a WoB aganist this idea (Yata runs on Theoryland!) EDIT: Actually it talks about "dead parshmen" while I remembered "parshmen" at all....My bad, therefore there is more space in this WoB to be a trick
  6. Probably is more "same combinations get the same "perks" but this perks is slighty influenced by the power's host"....After all those Perks (again someone finds a better name, please shate it with the comunity) are born as unespected grown of a SpiritWeb. Someone's spiritweb is the base (or soil to keep the plant metaphor) of a Perk
  7. @Landis963 actually you may have right. I put it in the list. But I feel it really wrong (I know my feel has no Cosmic weight ) because it's like to say that The Power is a Focus for the power itself. Anyway I think we may create a new topic to argue on this matter, this question was on another matter and unless Harambe has some point unclear I think it better to stop posting here (I know I was the first to go slight off topic )
  8. how actually "Storm" come to be in Surgebinding or Fabrial ?
  9. I am playing Undertale in a Genocide Route
  10. I think In SA, Mister Sanderson wanted to made the people think to Hoid as a strange powerhouse (the ones who don't know the Cosmere's metaplot). Dalinar himself talking to Hoid has some doubts about his role in the great Scheme.....If I don't remember wrong, He direcly asked to Hoid if he was an Herald to plant this seed in the readers' mind if they didn't think this possibility
  11. We know the power who caused the "Royal Locks" may be used for further change...It's stated at the end of Warbreaker. It's not a true shapeshifting ability but It would allow to change age and something more of the Hair alone.
  12. Actually Surgebinding as all the Magic Systems is a Manifestation of Investiture. It's indipendent from the Shard's will. This mean that also if Honor didn't craft the Honorblade (if they are really made by him). The Surgebinding as magic system was alredy there. Simply we don't know how it will manifest without this direct intervention of the Shards. What I wanted to say, it's we saw at least two way to access the Surges (more specificaly Surgebinding): One is using a Nahel Bond who emulate the Honorblade, another is the Honorblade themself...but we can't say there isn't a third way (maybe the natural one). I don't want to say "It must be a third way" simply "It could be a third way"
  13. well Odium made whatever He did quite fast as we know.
  14. This WoB explicy some of your doubt (just replace Odium with Trell and Raysium with Trellium):
  15. Maybe, but it's not the only possibility. After all Sugebinding ability is not strictly related to Radiant Spren. Simply the Nahel Bond allow to someone to gain Surgebinding's power. But it's not the only way...whatever metod the Honorblade uses (For months I worked on the idea of Honorblade as Hacked Powerful Fabrial) may be (maybe replicated). Or for example, Spren are sometime described as "living surges"....Maybe there are Spren who once in a Fabrial may finalize their Surge. In the end there are also the possibility of a Radiant Spren in the Soulcaster...but I find it very unlikely, this hypotetical Spren have to be a Cryptic or an Ivory's like. And I suppose Pattern or Jasnah would say something about...After all they were all near the Davar's Soulcast for the whole Ship-travel
  16. The perpendicularity may be a little section of a greater waterpool
  17. In my idea, yes. After all both (Augmenter - Diminisher) and (Attractor - Repeller) are really a set of Fabrial for different effect
  18. I think the same Stormlight is Raw Investiture and gemstone are not trasversal present in the magic systems (Surgebinding for example)....To be honest I think Gemstone are for Roshar, what Mist are for Scadrial and (maybe) Color for Nalthis Yes and indeed this allow to it to be quite peculiar (but probably not unique concept) in the Cosmere. But you have to remember that Scadrial was created as part of Preservation's masterplan. He wanted a world where he may stock Ruin's power and people with the ability to remove it from the system (for a while) This question is a bit hard to answer. The easy one is "A Shardworld have a Focus for his own, Shard or not shard" and when a Shard arrive and Invested there....The focus is already there (with the possible/probably exception of Shardworld made by Shards). As example: Imagine an alternate story. Where Preservation will arrive to Nalthis and he is the only shard there....Soon or later a Magic System Command Based will born on Nalthis fueled by Preservation with some Initiation Preservation related. You may notice that also Minor Shardworld (planet without shard's influence) have a Focus. Just no Magic System can born without a great amount of POwer in their area
  19. Sorry I made mayself Unclear. You listed in this way the Fabrial type with a pair correlation (order not relevant): 1) Augmenter - Diminisher 2) Conjoiner - Reverser 3) Alerter - (Fabrial not found ) 4) Attractor - Repeller I simply added the surge fabrial to a fifth pair: 5) Surge - Void This would made ten type (as for your initial hypotesis) of Fabrial divided in 5 pair. Every member of a pair has an effect opposite to the other member. I call it "Void" thinking about the Voidbining...We don't know nothing of this magic system but maybe if a Fabrial may emulate surgebinding (maybe to not the same extent) may also emulate Voidbinding (to a more unkown extend). To be honest I see some little problem to my own idea, but I think we may put it in the list of possibilities EDIT: Fixed mistype
  20. Like I said in my first reply, we don't actually know it but Will is quite impossible because Intent is quite a forced element in every Cosmere's magic What I can do, it's list here the "candidates" for Roshar's focus that the Sharder proposed: - Bonds (It's the theory I like more) - gemstone - Spren - light - Color Maybe I forgot some other theory but at the moment I can't remember more of them
  21. I find weird we don't have a topic for the Sharder's pets
  22. No Vindicator, I don't know if I am misunderstood your point or you are misunderstood the mine....But the WoB has not "gray zone". I asked for a specific thing and he answered to that specific thing. You point in a misunderstood from Brandon's part but it's quite explicit: He said that the mechanics don't allow to a Powerful being to have this "side effect of interaction between magic" (I quote myself because the term "perk" created great problem). - This mean that Savantism is not included in his answer because we have at least 2 cases of Savant Mistborn (Kelsier, Rashek and maybe Vin...Oh I forgot all the Inquisitors, my bad). - This mean that "clever use of combination of power" (or "synergies" if you like the term better) is not included because Rashek may do it (Steelpush with increased weight) I actually don't see how it's possible to say he confused the answer. It's probably one of the more direct and explicity WoB I saw
  23. We have to remember a couple of facts: - Vin used Pewter as a child. But she had so little metal avaliable (consumed within the food) to be quite nothing for a average allomancer's pov (to say in her first vial of pewter there is probably more metal than the one she consumed in all her previous years together). - Vin is a bit powerful than the average Allomancer of her time (not of a great margin, but a bit). This and the fact that pewter give a constant "power up" may give to the people who see her...the feel of "super strenght". I explain myself better: If Ham is a 10 in physical strenght, Vin would be 5-6...then both became to burn pewter to gain extra power. Pewter it's states to give the power of two men. This mean that would give a +10 to the average misting. This put Ham to 20 and Vin to 16...You may notice how the gap between the two is relative smaller now. Add to this that probably Vin is a bit stronger as Allomancer (to say Ham gains +10 and Vin gains +11-12) and the gap is still less. This is more true in the case of Flaring (who quite double the pewter effect)...Ham would be a 30 and Vin would be a 30 too. If it's true than a little body where the extra power is infused gain a more concentrate power up...we may easy see how Vin would be pair or better than Ham (without considerate the Ham's skill in years of fight)
  24. Actually Nalthis's Focus is "Command" not Color....The Colors on Nalthis are probably like the "mist" on Scadrial
  25. At first I thought you may have right...but Vin didn't show any sign of a "pain immunity" (effect of the pewter savantism)
