  1. Well Nightblood's look doesn't fit with a Shardblade's one, neither is weight
  2. @Ekiwhat I wanted to say is that if Feruchemy and Allomancy genes interference with one another....The F-Gene may suppress the ability of someone who otherwise will be snapped as Allomancer There are the Twinborns, where the two genes actualy create a synergy but they are quite an anomaly to the standard outcome.
  3. You have to remember that the 1/16 was there because the Mist Super-Snapped people with too little change to Snap by yourself (in the end they are just a bit above the Threeshold thanks to the Mist) but this probably ended with Harmony's Ascension. He has no more need of an Allomancer Army. This mean that you have to take the Survivors (where statistically just the 7% were allomancers) and see how their offspring will recive the chance to be Allomancers. You have also to add the inferference of Feruchemy's gene that doesn't work very well with Allomancy's genes.....and you have a new limitating factor
  4. I recived my first Downvote here on the Shard...I feel dirty inside
  5. @marianmi probably from a Realmatic PoV there isn't nothing like "corrupted" (the word as often a "turn evil" or "turn worse" meaning) because in the end, the only way to twist Investiture is messing with its Mandate/Intent (for example if I take Odium's Investiture and mix it with some of Preservation's one....I have "corrupted Odium's Investiture"). PS: I came here because there was a new reply, and I find my previous post with a downvote....May I ask what I typed so wrong ?
  6. I actually don't understand this point....there is no difference in this. There was Cadmius, Bendalloy, Chromium and Nicrosil Misting also in the Final Empire, they simply don't know to be Allomancer...but they actualy were and they reproduced spreading the right genes. I don't remember nothing like that, I know that much of Vin's power isn't about raw power but as her ability to use it very efficiently...But I find really hard to believe that every allomancer in the Era 2 are as strong as (or stronger) than Vin (in raw power)
  7. Someone recently asked to Brandon if an Honorblade would unlock an Oathgate and he answer it....It's not something in the books (yet)
  8. Like @The One Who Connects said, it's a passive propriety of Investiture, Investiture interferences with other Investiture. What it happens is that a Soul of someone (made by Investiture) works as Shield. Of course you may overcome this "shield" with enogh Power (like in the first book Rashek does) and more invested being have a better "shield" (for example is harder to affect metal within an Allomancer while he is burning metals, or a Metalmind is harder to push/pull as greater is the Feruchemical Charge within it). All this to say that also an Animal would shield metals from pull/push but less than an human being.
  9. I think you have to add the Madman in the Collector's Interlude...The "god of the vegetable city" someone (like me) thinks he is Ishi and the beggard in the Szeth's prologue as Jezrien. On another point, there are much clue about Kalab be the man with Nale in the night of Gavilar's murder
  10. Ok Off Topic, but when I read this topic's title...I thought was about the Characted Bleeder and her struggle with facial hair
  11. I think (like Youth Feruchemy) that once your Soul understands that something is "wrong with you", it began to push you to re-allign your three Aspects and this without further Investiture to counter its action. Will end to your old self (maybe It would also damage you, but I don't know)
  12. Probably you may manage this kind of think to work...but I think its more a "theoric experiment" than a actual pratical trick...IF this work, you have to overcome yourself with "someonelse". How much of you may remain ? You will reverted to yourself when the Soul Understand the trick ? (Like with the Youth Feruchemy)
  13. In the first era, The Lord Ruler's religion was the only one (after he eradicated the others)...There was no need of a name to it. In the Final Empire words like "religion" or "god" both pointed to TLR without any need of explain
  14. @hwiles well The more "Spren-like" Human we saw (Lift) still regular age. She is struck nearest than any mortal in the Cognitive Realm so close to the Spren ,Bonds with one of them and with the ability to turn any nutriment in Stormlight...But She still age
  15. well we may notice how all his/her/it Shards(also the most destructive once) have this compulsive need to Invest their powers and fuel life and magic. It's the reason I was really interesting in the couple of them that actually went aganist this Super-Mandate (Odium and the shard-not-invested)
  16. You may also notice how Therenody has no way to produce so much Aluminium...They are not very technology advanced, and working the Aluminium without an high tech needs to find it in locations like Volcanos (as the Lord Rules did on Scadrial). Some time ago I developed a Theory on Therenody an its proximity to Scadrial (and the planet gets some influence by Scadrial magic)...But in the end, it's a pretty frail theory
  17. Actually I think a Breath is more Invested than you think
  18. Yeah I know but probably the method you write work with another principle, maybe changing the Connection or something like that....I proposed the model of the Youth manipulation and Healing as comparative with the Stormlight's Healing because they are very similar. It's the reason at the end of the post I said it's possible that a Nahel Bond does something to your Lifespan but for an effect different of Stormlight's healing. We saw in other series being functionally Immortal....therefore is some way is possible to achieve an infinite lifespan throught magic
  19. Maybe the Nahel Bond may do something to the RK's lifespan but it's not the Healing propriety of Stormlight who are relevant in this case. Your Spiritweb (or Soul) "knows" how old are you thanks to the Connections to the times of your life. If you manage to not age or revert aging your Soul will notice a difference between yourself and "how you have to be" and press yourself to re-allign with your rightful self. This effect may be countered with Investiture but more your actual self and your spiritual self are different more Investiture you will need....But in the end you will revert to your real age in the moment you are without Investiture (and if you are beyond your lifespan...you die). This of course IF Stormlight's Healing is really capable of age reverting or stopping....But as someone before said, "Healing" in Cosmere is more "restore my Cognitive's image of myself"...It's the reason for some oddities with Stormlight's Healing....For example Kaladin's Scar doesn't heal because Kal see himself as a Slave and in his mental Image...The Scars are part of him. Anyway this doesn't meant (as said at the beginning) that Nahel Bond don't affect Lifespan....But if it does, it's not something related to Stormlight's Healing
  20. Ok I recently win a really big Poker Price.....I am a Full Shardbearer now
  21. I think it's a matter of attitude. Different orders have different "core concepts" maybe a Windrunner (for example) have need of a more experienced mind to began to understand the value of protecting other...While a Lightweaver may began his path of auto-improvement as a child. But in the end, I think a lot of things is really related to the specific events of the Surgebinders
  22. Actually someone with a quite perfect knowledge of Realmic Theory (a Shard) explicity states that someone without ties to all three realm would be a worse Vessel than a regular living human. And about the time the guy spent in a certain location...Probably He improved his Connection to the Shard, but for his own statement. His Connection to Preservation was a little thing before his natural Connection to Ruin
  23. It's what I meant with "Anomaly", He was not only "not Connected enough" (problem solved with alternative method) but also not fully living being. It's too a special case to use as example. much more (here I can't avoid to say something spoiler)
  24. Like in the whole Cosmere except Roshar. There may be a difference between Sentient Spren and Stupid ones...Sentient Spren actually traslate into the physical to search a Knight, Stupid Ones are still in the Cognitive and "spawn" for a while in the Physical when some "event" attract them (the right emotion or phenomen). I have to search but we have a WoB who said the Recreance was not a conseguence of Herald's actions in the Last Desolation
