  1. I wonder if someone could trap a bonded radient spren(basically steal Syl) in a gem. I figure it might work for a bit but Kal would just have to summon her in sword form, unless it would interfere with or steal the nahel bond to power whatever effects a bonded Radient spren would have in a fabrial.
  2. What you said about inanimate objects "thought" (like our good friend Stick) made me think about Asteroids and such. As far as I know an inanimate cognitive 'spark' if you will is obtained through collective societal agreement that that is indeed a stick. Would asteroids, which haven't been seen by any sentient people yet, not have a cognitive aspect at all? Do those poor lonely rocks in space only exist in the physical realm?
  3. So we know that Kandra are basically blobs of tissue that conform to a set of bones. My question is, would a Kandra be able to mimic creatures on Roshar? Most if not all creatures on Roshar have exo-skeletons like shells or carapace. Forgetting about the obvious humans and maybe Parshendi, would the Kandra be able to use a creature with an exo-skeleton instead of internal bones?
  4. The parshendi are of Honor. They had him (and all assassins when they did that kinda stuff to each other) wear white 'so that they could see him coming.'
  5. "Save a horse ride a Kandra!" Wayne looks over and winks.
  6. I'm not a coder or artist by any means, but I am a gamer. this game would be amazing if done right. I was wondering though; How would you deal with the Orders that haven't been shown yet? Obviously it would take time to make the game itself in which we might see more in Oathbringer. But still, there is a lot of the magic that we haven't seen yet and might not see for a long time. On another less critical note. Would you pick your order from the start of the game or have in game choices during say the first level or two affect which spren is attracted? Regardless this sounds really awesome and I wish you the best of luck! edit: I wrote this without reading your introduction post so I didn't realize you were going to base it off of the actual book plot instead of just In-world game where you create your own character. Either way sounds fun! p.s. If you do decide to switch from book-plot to just in-world I would love to help with creating quest plots and the like.
  7. I think you're forgetting that all Surgebinders are basically gold compounding at all times when they have stormlight. It would also depend drastically on which order they were up against. Some are more attuned to combat than others.
  8. Maybe it just goes to show how much power Surgbinders have compared to their Scadrian counterparts. It takes a Fullborn Compounding to have enough Investiture that it begins to leak out unused, whereas a Surgebinder can achieve that much Stormlight by inhaling a Broam.
  9. I thought she soulcast a dummy version of herself as a decoy.
  10. I think you are missing one other option. It could be that the Spike is what enables him to be in the physical world and he simply removes it and puts in in his backpack and poof! Cognitive Shadow once more. Some things are easier to affect as whispers than as a scarred dude with a giant spike in his face.
  11. Was he in Ati's and Leras' will?
  12. I see Hoid and Kell as opposites that are the same. Kell began to hate Hoid the moment he saw an insufferable smile. The way I read it Kell doesn't like seeing someone who is so much like him. As the saying goes, "The qualities we most hate in others are usually qualities we ourselves have" or something like that. They both use charm and wit to control situations. But like Jke says above they are essentially opposites as well. What a juicy contradiction! I can't wait to see where this rivalry will take us.
  13. I can't wait for some worldhoppers from other books just get exasperated with Kells antics and say something to the effect of "I thought one Hoid was bad now we have Hoids evil twin too?!" On a side note. if he went to Roshar could he make a nahel Bond with someone there that gives them his Mistborn powers?
  14. Cognitive Realm Zombie Apocalypse!!! One good way of curbing those annoying worldhoppers, unleash a plague in the Cognitive realm that self duplicates and spreads. Might be why FTL becomes so important later on.
  15. I think we are all ignoring the idea that Kriss could be wrong. The only ones who know for sure are the Shards themselves and Hoid. She might be just theorizing because 'to the victor goes the spoils' (aka the Shards). We might never know for sure what happened until Dragonsteel comes out.
  16. They must be pretty scary in the Cognitive realm to scare a bunch of Elantrians so bad.
  17. But how would they be able to refill their glowing drink? Or get their regular soldier minions if they've been stuck in the cognitive realm for almost 1000 years or more. Granted they could get minions and supplies from other worlds but I don't think any old investiture can keep an elantrian going. It's got to be bottled up Dor.
  18. I figure Harmony and Kelsier decided he could be put to good use as Harmony's Cosmere agent. Look how much trouble he caused to Cosmere groups already by himself. Imagine Harmony setting Kel up with a Cosmere Crew and setting him off to gather intelligence and cause mischief on other worlds. I bet he took Spook along as well because he needed a full mistborn. we never did hear that Spook died, just that he stepped down.
  19. They obviously haven't just been camped out there for hundreds or thousands of years. 1) They have regular soldier body guards. Presumably they still age/eat/need supplies in the Cognitive realm. 2) The Invested Drink would need refills. I'm guessing that it is from Sel itself. We have had confirmation that the potions used to fake the Reod are another form of Selish magic. Therefore the Elantrians can keep full of Dorish Investiture to survive. 3) They use a Rosharan Fabrial/ have gems presumably from Roshar. Personally I'm more curious about the Threnody group. Does the way they keep an eye out for Shades mean that someone/thing is controlling the Shades and sending them out as agents in the Cosmere? Is this the Evil that Silences people ran from?
  20. It might have been an offhand remark about Hoid. Isn't there a WOB that says that he uses Feruchemy to be in important places? It has been theorized that he's using Fortune (Luck) to be at the right place at the right time for his shenanigans. They mention this basically saying not every thing that goes bump in the Cognitive realm is the Boogyman Hoid.
  21. We don't. All we can guess is that he is because he seems to help out the Protagonists in the books he is in, because he's generally funny, and can't bring himself to kill. Other than that his purpose or plan is unknown except that he seems to be collecting power from each world he visits and isn't a fan of Bavadin and Rayes.
  22. I believe Liss(If that was the name of the assassin that Jasnah tasked with keeping an eye on Elokars wife) had him as some sort of apprentice, but that he creeped her out so she got rid of him. I can't find the exact quote right now though. I doubt she turned him over directly to the Parshendi though, so Nale is still a valid option.
  23. The main problem I'm having with figuring out how Mechanical Allomancy will work is the fact that the Southern Scadrians, the people Brandon has confirmed use mechanical alomancy, don't have any Allomancers or Feruchemists to help with it. It will be a purley scientififc way of accessing Investiture. Your idea that some sort of chemical reaction to specific metals may not be that far off. Or maybe with the advent of electricity on Scadrial that will be a part of it as well. But no matter how it is done we cannot base theories on what we already know about accessing Investiture on Scadrial.
  24. Brandon has said that the Scadrians from the Southern continent, which we have not yet seen, rely on Mechanical Allomancy because they don't have any, or at least very very few, mistings and probably no ferrings either. For the life of me I can't picture how it will work but we shall see eventually. I doubt it will have anything to do with Hemalurgy because, as previously said, they don't have the original Allomantic mistings to steal the trait from. It most likely will not involve Feruchemy because the original Terris people were the only group with that ability and they were located in the far North. Therefore the question starts out, how do we access investiture through the allomantic metals without a connection to Preservation/Harmony in the users spirit webs? Or even without a spirit web at all in this case. I have a feeling Lerisium might have a part of it due to its ability to rework a spirit web, and the fact that there was so little of it located at Preservations Shardpool compared to the Atium stache.
  25. Don't forget to coat in in a layer of Aluminum
