Marking this for future edit. Brandon Sanderson did a reading from the prologue at connecticon. trying to find a video of the Q&A
-
I think we're looking at a early September release date (or so my ARC tells me).

I spent the weekend stalking Brandon Sanderson (AND GOT TO DRAFT WITH HIM IT WAS AWESOME YAY! [he slaughtered me]) and will try and add anything I gleaned from his Q&A's and assorted questions I heard asked or asked myself: ~ The Soulcaster's gem arrangement was inspired by a 2-pupiled eye (not sure if will be relevant to lore or not) ~ Nicrobursts can only effect the allomantic abilities of twinborn (He followed up by saying THIS MAY CHANGE if he needs it to) ~ The prologues for the first 5 WoK books are the events of the king's death from the perspective of 5 different characters (He read the prologue to WoK 2 at the Q&A. It will be from Jasnah's perspective ~Were Odium to shatter Harmony, we would NOT get Ruin and Preservation back but instead would get smaller pieces. ~And there was a short reading from his working sequel to alloy I know people were taking videos at the con. Not sure if anyone posted to youtube. I am trying to get in contact with them again to see if I can get them posted

Blame my fiancee. She spends all my money buying arcs

Anyone else feel that a rithmatic game for mobile devices would be awesome? Just finished the book and I'd pay good money for that

Sit in on a class with Brandon Sanderson
Soother replied to Soother's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Was purely accidental. Phone hiccuped while posting -
A student at BYU has recorded the lectures to Brandon Sanderson's infamous creative writing class and is in the process of putting them up on YouTube. So far, only the first three are up, but they are in the process of editing the rest for viewing. So if you've ever wanted to sit in on Brandon Sanderson's class, go to writeaboutdragons.com. There will be gummy bears.

It's about time we get some really AWESOME Kelsier art! There's a serious lack of it... Is the idea of putting the image of the Survivor sacrosanct and I missed the message? -
Too bad you can't use hemalurgic spikes on inanimate objects... or could you? Slider car!

Just because they must be given, does not imply they must be given freely. one could be coerced or tortured to transfer their breath

The scientific community could use it to slow down experiment reactions, as well as the pulser was protected from any adverse effects of said reactions (explosions?) since high speed cameras are not available to record and slow down the reaction after the fact.

Awakening uses all colors as it stands now in the set. I'm working on with a modified Sunburst mechanic. If I were to make it cost more it would be unplayable, and I'd be more likely to make it monowhite than black for flavor, since white includes many cards that are the epitome of the idealogical zealot, though I like it in the color profile it stands in now. Nightblood doesn't really follow the flavor of black. "Here, have a sword!" "Cool!" *Kills self with Nightblood* Here's another I'm toying with that shows the Biochroma mechanic. Squirrel Lifeless - 2 Creature - Lifeless Squirrel Lifeless is green. Biochroma (This enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it for each color of mana spent to cast it.) 1G: Return Squirrel Lifeless from your graveyard to your hand. And the other half of biochroma Coil of Rope - 3 Object Biochroma (This enters the battlefield with a biochroma counter on it for each color of mana spent to cast it.) 1: Coil of Rope becomes a X/X creature with reach until end of turn, where X is the number of biochroma counters on it -
I wonder though, if for instance someone were to try and decapitate you with a sword, could you heal the neck where the sword had made contact before the full severing had taken place, allowing you to survive?

If you reread the scenes where Wax has the earring in, he experiences odd feelings, and in the scene where he gets his Sterrions back, he directly converses with Harmony, which kinda gave it away.
