Emeralis00 Hazekiller Posted November 13, 2011 Tricky, expensive, dangerous to use, and funny flavor text. I like it.
Silus - Shard of Flame Arbiter Posted November 13, 2011 Though I'd say make him pure black and make the cost even more ridiculously high. It just fits his style more. Now, Awakening I think would use all the colors. 1
Soother Arteth Posted November 13, 2011 Awakening uses all colors as it stands now in the set. I'm working on with a modified Sunburst mechanic. If I were to make it cost more it would be unplayable, and I'd be more likely to make it monowhite than black for flavor, since white includes many cards that are the epitome of the idealogical zealot, though I like it in the color profile it stands in now. Nightblood doesn't really follow the flavor of black. "Here, have a sword!" "Cool!" *Kills self with Nightblood* Here's another I'm toying with that shows the Biochroma mechanic. Squirrel Lifeless - 2 Creature - Lifeless Squirrel Lifeless is green. Biochroma (This enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it for each color of mana spent to cast it.) 1G: Return Squirrel Lifeless from your graveyard to your hand. And the other half of biochroma Coil of Rope - 3 Object Biochroma (This enters the battlefield with a biochroma counter on it for each color of mana spent to cast it.) 1: Coil of Rope becomes a X/X creature with reach until end of turn, where X is the number of biochroma counters on it 2
Silus - Shard of Flame Arbiter Posted November 14, 2011 I was just thinking that drawing Nightblood takes an ENORMOUS amount of Breath, and as far as I'm familiar with Magic, that seems to fit with the Black mentality.
Aeshdan Bloodsealer Posted October 10, 2012 Can I post this to the official MTG site? I'll make sure to give you the credit!
snote Prelan Posted March 21, 2014 I would make it a colorless equipment. 7 Colorless. That read: 2:Equip, Equipped Creature gains +2/+0Nightblood come into play with one sheath counter.Whenever Nightblood contains no sheath counters. It gains the ability, 'Cumultive upkeep" Pay 1 Life. Whenever a creature equipped with "Nightblood" deals Combat Damage. Any creature dealt damage by the equipped creature is destroyed, it cannot be regenerated. Equipped creature is destroyed at the end of turn.If the equipped creature deals damage to a player, that player loses life equal to the cumulative upkeep paid that turn.Nightblood cannot be the target of spells or abilities.2:Add a Sheath Counter(I know a lot of my terminologies are off. I haven't played in a really long time.) 2
KyL Obligator Posted September 7, 2020 Ok yeah if you were playing Modern you could cheat this out turn 2 and hand it to them turn 3 (if this card existed) i'll post the combo in a moment when I have time, but hey this card is cool
