The Ten Essences make up a body, and as Jasnah said, the ten essences can be easily soulcasted by anyone who can soulcast.

Well, I'm pretty sure she soulcasted that body that Shallan saw so that the assassins thought that they killed her, so maybe they did try.

I have two new characters I wanted to introduce in my next post in Corvallis, but they need smoothing out. The first one is an undead epic, the second is a genius epic hunter. Epic Name: Lich Real Name: Sceit (Pronounced Syeet- Last Name Unknown) Age: Unknown Primary Power: Can freeze water or water vapor into his hand, and can then manipulate it. He can also move it at high speeds. He can manipulate it in about a 20 ft. radius. Secondary Power: He can animate calcium carbonate and control it with his mind. He has animated his own skeleton and strengthened it. His flesh was burned off after that in a fire. Tertiary Power: He is able to change matter into calcium phosphate, or bone. This is hard to do, and prefers to simply strengthen and reinforce a person's skeleton. Prime Invincibility: When in danger, thick walls of unnatural ice surround him. This ice melts at command, but is harder than almost all metals and can support several tons of pressure. Appearance: Usually cloaked in a large black cloak, underneath he is a skeleton with glowing blood-red eyes. Modus Operandi: Usually only kills when he is attacked or one of his undead are destroyed. If one is destroyed on purpose by someone else, he will hunt them without rest (literally. He does not require rest or sustainance.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name: Kyordu Jarnot Age: 23 “Powers”: Not really “powers” per say, but he is insanely intelligent. More so than his brother. He tends to move from one small town to the next, killing the weakest epics and then wiping the rest of them out. Appearance: White, blue eyes, brown hair, constantly looks like he’s bored and doesn’t care about you or isn’t impressed. Modus Operandi: He tends to move from one small town to the next, killing the weakest epics and then wiping the rest of them out. Currently moving to Corvallis, as he heard his brother is there. Plans to kill him out of Revenge for the rest of their family.

OK. My people's technology is mostly in the medieval stages, except for pyrotechnics. They have almost modern explosives/fiery weapons, including gunpowder, gasoline, napalm, and small amounts of nitro glycerine (extremely rare because of the danger it poses to the person making it, only used on Mikill Einn- about a liter a year is made.) Also, by enchanted, I mean that a wizard actually set a constant spell on it. Is this allowed?

That is actually the place I was thinking I wanted to put it. If you want to use the space below it, notify me. Because of the 12 emeralds, the wind doesn't affect the island, but severe lightning storms alter the magnetism of the island just slightly for a second, causing the island to move. It returns because of the magnetic forces of Diaemus. They live in really cool caves because of this. I'll describe those later.

Granted, but the meadows are swarmed with mosquitoes that carry malaria and yellow fever, and the ocean is infested with sharks. I wish for a couple of upvotes. -
There are enchantments in this, right? So, there are these 12 gemstone, all of them are emerald- they are enchanted with wind magic that thickens the air on the island, allowing humans to breathe. This means Gauldur Boretha are more active, though. The stones feed on the magic of nearby green lumuoles. Each of the 12 cities of Rústir Forfethra Okkar- The Ruins of Our Ancestors- have one.

The Island is a magically enhanced lodestone-turned-superconductor. Magic keeps enormous underground lakes of liquid nitrogen liquid, which turns the lodestone into a superconductor. This allows it to float. But about biology, in the main article I was talking about a new race called the Gauldur Boretha. They had subsets; though I really only said two, there are three. The first, and most common, are the average Gauldur. They have the intelligence of, say, a dolphin, and are five or six times stronger and 3 times faster than a human. The second are the Greindur, which have the intelligence of a human and the same strength. These two are natural. The third, and final, are the Mikill Einn. They have great magical abilities, (though not like wizards- the only one they can control actively are their illusion) and are several times stronger. They are genetically modified. The humans on the island were once advanced, but they lost their technology when most of them were slaughtered by the first 6 Mikill Einn. They are currently in a state of constant war with the Gauldur. One of their advantages is that Gauldur can only have child once every two years. A new Mikill Einn only comes about once every 10. Also, these humans value fire above all else, as it can easily kill Gauldur, so Pyrotechnics and Pyromancers usually lead their cities. Back to the Gauldur, they practically explode when on fire (like gasoline) and the normal 2 types digest most lumuoles; it is how they gain their strength & speed, but makes it so that they can't use magic. Those are the Gauldur Boretha. Thank you for your time.

Ahhh... I believe I will make so that on my island I will add a group that lost most technology except for a few weapons that can be used on Gauldur, as their civilization was destroyed by their experimentation on them... Mikill Einn just don't seem natural...

I meant in technology- medieval, futuristic, (have they lost or gained technology since they first landed)- this does relate to biology. Biology requires technology.

May I create a floating island? I wanted to make it next to Winter's southern territory, just below the Tropic of Capricorn. If not, then I'll take the islands at the equator, but the floating island would be better. Harder to get to, so of more use to what I want to do. I want it somewhere around 500-750 miles at the widest point.

"Gauldur" means "Magic" in old norse. "Gauldur Boretha" is the closest I can get to "Magic Feeders". It actually means "Magic Fed". Also, mostly, they're quite dumb. Basically beasts, with the exception of about 1/6 of the normal population (with human intelligence) and the Mikill Einn (slightly smarter, but has extreme Hubris). Fire kills them very quickly (they practically explode- you've seen gasoline ignited before, right?). And being so dumb, people that use purple lumuoles to easily twist them around. Also, I'm making them photophobic. Their eyes are like a watchwher's from the Pern books- they have a lot of lenses, and can see perfectly during the night, but during the day the sun causes blindness and physical burning of the retinas, which catches the rest of their body on fire. (note: this is for the Gauldur, not the Watch-Whers.) Magics of the Mikill Einn: Water: Manifests itself by redirecting currents while swimming. Electricity: Manifests itself by paralysis; claws and teeth paralyze prey. Wind: Manifests itself by allowing the Mikill Einn to influence (not control) wind speed and direction. Earth: Manifests itself by hardening it's skin; is almost as hard as stone Purple: Manifests itself by allowing control over the mindless Gauldur Extra Weaknesses: True Weaknesses: Each Element occasionally works against them; water will go in a different direction for a moment; they are paralyzed for a minute or two every once in a while (very useful); Wind goes in a different direction; The island will magnetize them once in a while, forcing them to be immobile (very useful); Occasionally hallucinates. (note: these can happen anytime, but are more common while using that power). Social Weaknesses: Human intelligent Gauldur will sometimes rebel against the Mikill Einn. Also, Gaulder are very loyal, so you can befriend one and have it protect you.
