  1. Hey guys, do you think I should reveal my Hacker contact? I don't have time for much right now, but I thought I'd ask this so you guys can give your thoughts on the subject. All I'll say is that none of the players they've scanned are still alive, and they also "forgot" to scan someone on one Night Turn. I think you guys could probably guess who it is anyways, and if they aren't a Traitor(I'm kinda thinking they are, especially with LUNA being a Loyal Data Gatherer, but I'm not sure), the Traitors could probably guess their identity. They scanned Ada as Loyal right when I was going after him, which means they are either a Traitor, or the Traitors have False Trails. Clanky, I don't really agree that Hellscythe is most likely a Traitor. Purposefully not sending in a kill would make sense at this point in the game. There's 4 players on a mission. The other 5 are not. If there is a death at all, we'd be that much closer to figuring out who's a Traitor. The Loyal players on the mission would have a 1 out of 2 chance of catching a Traitor, and a Loyal player not on the mission would have a 1 out of 3 chance, so it's definitely a viable plan of action for the Traitors.
  2. As the stranger walked away, Corrin found himself empty handed and without a name. Hm. That was odd. Did I not speak clearly enough? he thought to himself. But no, I don't mumble. He must have heard me. Ah! Maybe he's just not used to such eloquent speech, and so could not comprehend my meaning. Yes, that must be it. Well, I'll be sure to phrase my manner of speaking in a way that not matter who I am addressing, my meaning will be clear. I suppose I need to adjust myself to the people as well as the location. As Corrin turned to step into the library, he noticed a girl not far away scribbling in her notebook somewhat angrily. He continued on through the doors, saying softly to himself "yes, very odd indeed." ---------- Araris, since he doesn't have a vote on him yet. This is just one vote. I was gonna do some RP for whoever I voted on, but I don't have the time, sorry!
  3. As Corrin approached the library, his thoughts were suddenly interrupted as a man bumped into him. "Hey there! Have we met before?" the stranger said. "I don't believe so. I don't make it a habit to talk to those who have no regard for others space," Corrin snapped back. He sighed, calming himself. "I apologize. I was in a rush and wasn't paying well enough attention to my surroundings, so I have no reason to act so rudely to you. Anyways, it's possible you've bumped into me on a separate occasion since the term began and it's also possible we've spoken before. I've met a good many new people since reaching the University, from all different classes, though it's hard to tell how some of them can afford to pay even a term's tuition. I can't seem to recall your name though. Might I inquire what it is? Mine is Corrin," he said politely as he outstretched his hand. Edit: GM's, what if you do quality RP and quality thread participation in one post?
  4. Corrin wandered around the University, trying to familiarize himself with the place he'd be spending so much of his time at. Time that he would have to spend wisely. Time he couldn't afford to waste. I have to find the answers here. They must be here! There was a reason he'd come here, more than just a thirst for knowledge or power, or anything that most others were after. No, he'd come because of the Crockery. The place he knew would be his home unless he could find answers. Answers for why his family was going insane, one by one. He was the oldest of 7 children, well, him and his twin were the oldest at least, born a Noble, a life of luxury and contentment. That all had changed a year ago. First it was his youngest sister, Azura, who had lost her mind. They'd found her in her room with a knife, all of her belonging shredded to pieces or broken in ways that didn't seem possible. She'd seemed to return to normal after that fit, but the next month, it wasn't her clothes that she'd shredded. Then, a few months later, his next youngest sibling was lost to them, as he had wondered out from their home at night, never to be found until a week or so later, when some commoners brought back his body, claiming he'd burst into their home, shouting unintelligible things until he suddenly dropped dead, for reasons no one was sure of, whether it was a lack of nutrition or a heart attack or who knows what. And just a few months back it was his second youngest brother who'd been claimed by this strange curse that was haunting his family. Luckily, his parents were able to contain him before he took his own life, but he was currently in a coma like state, never talking or moving unless someone touched him, flesh against flesh, at which point he would begin to cry and sob for no apparent reason. Corrin shuddered just thinking about the despair and the pain in his brothers eyes. I have to find the answers. For myself as well as my family. At least there are some signs before it happens. Each of his now deceased or insane siblings had shown some odd tendencies before they had lost it completely. Loss of memory, not knowing who or where they were at random times. Physically harmful tendencies as well, such as his littlest sister had shown. Yes. I must find the solution before my whole life is ripped away from me, with me either dead, or a fate possibly worse than death. With that thought, he headed to the library, hoping he could find some information, ANY information, about his family's situation. -------------------------------------------------------- So there's my character. Feel free to add him in any RP ya'll do, so that I have an easier time thinking of RP to do(so I can keep my money!). He's pretty serious, and is very not patient(don't call him impatient though, that really ticks him off).
  5. I don't have much to say right now, so I'm mostly just posting for the sake of posting. I'm gonna have to post pretty often if I want to use PM's much. I haven't read through the rules enough to understand things well enough to give much advice. I guess don't forget to use your Elevation Points for this Turn? That's all from me for now! I may try and do some RP tomorrow, as well as place a vote somewhere, but I'd like to look over the rules first before I do that.
  6. Darn it. I really thought she was a Traitor. Sorry LUNA. I think it would be a good idea to use the mission to kill Shallan, just so that we take care of a complete inactive, as well as protect 3 players from a Traitor attack. So phatt, maybe you could switch out STINK for Shallan? I'm not sure if STINK wants to go or not. The player list would look like this then: Mission players: 1. Lopen 2. phatt 3. Hellscythe 4. Shallan Non - Mission players: 5. Clanky 6. STINK 7. Kynedath 8. Ripple 9. Anamaximder Edit: Oh yeah, Ada was aware of this, so I figure I should tell you all about it. Anamaximder claimed to be a Temporal Displacer on Night 1 to me, but has yet to prove it. His role is why I think he's probably Loyal. Ada's scans were me, Hellscythe and Clanky, all as Loyal, in case you all were wondering.
  7. Well you posted twice before you finally voted on him, as well as the fact that you haven't really posted that much about how it's odd or suspicious that he's claiming the same thing as you in the past 2 or 3 Cycles. It's not that revealing in a PM is suspicious, it's that another player has claimed the same role with the same results(killing STINK) in the thread, which seems to me to be more like a Loyal move rather than a lying eliminator, since if you lie in the thread, the real Shadowbinder will know you're lying, but if you claim in a PM, it would be easier to get away with a lie if you confined your reveal to a PM.
  8. Here's my case against Jerle. Firstly, his voting has seemed odd to me, especially the first Cycle stuff with Strawman, in which he defends him from votes, and then when I question him about it, he votes on him for basically no reason. He seems to be following others votes a lot as well, rather than picking his own targets. Next, the Shadowbinder situation. I'll lay out why I think PK is telling the truth, and Jerle is lying. Jerle claims to Mailliw in a PM on Cycle 2 I think, but at the latest Cycle 3. Strawman, a claiming Steward, who is under quite a bit of suspicion in the thread and was almost lynched, gets killed by the Traitors Cycle 2. PK reveals he's a Shadowbinder in the thread on Cycle 3. Mailliw reveals that he is aware of a Shadowbinder(Jerle). PK then goes after Jerle. Jerle doesn't do anything about the situation. This Cycle, PK had 3 votes on him, and yet Jerle doesn't vote on him or challenge him at all about his claim. If I had killed an eliminator, and then someone counter-claimed me trying to take credit for my kill, I would most definitely be questioning them and would probably try to kill them(as PK claimed to have tried). Jerle has done none of that, and even though he's voting on PK now, it's more out of necessity than anything, and he even seems hesitant to do so. PK on the other hand HAS gone after Jerle quite vocally and claims to have attacked him on Cycle 4, I think? That's my opinion on the matter. Edit: Vote tally. Jerle(3): Lopen, Clanky, PK PK(3): Orlok, Kipper, Jerle Orlok(1): Sart
  9. Emphasis mine Possible reason why Strawman was killed by the Traitors? Because a Traitor lied about their role? Option 2 seems pretty unlikely to me. I didn't notice anything really off about STINK, so for 2 separate players, who just happen to have the role of Shadowbinder, to be confident enough in their suspicion of STINK to kill him on Cycle 1 just doesn't sound right to me at all. Option 3, just, no. That would be insane, especially with the possibility of Greenseers, which allows for information from the dead, so that would most definitely backfire on them.
  10. So PK is claiming IN THE THREAD to have killed STINK(the one eliminator we're aware of), and he posts stating he's gonna be inactive this Cycle, so you all vote on him? I'm sorry, this doesn't make any sense to me. I personally believe his claim, just because it was in the thread, rather than a PM. I'd like to know how PK knows what Jerle is claiming though, because I don't remember hearing about his role anywhere. I too would like to hear what Jerle has to say. Since we now know that Mailliw was(is?) a Greenseer, he can tell us if he claimed to have attacked STINK or not. However, I've received a message this Cycle, so that can't happen for now. It doesn't hold any meaning for me, but here's the message: "Trollololl" I got this message literally only a couple minutes after the Cycle started.
  11. Aww, I was trying to keep my role secret, since I figure I'm the only PM guy left. Well, I am a Communications Expert, so I figure LUNA is really a Data Gatherer, or is at least in contact with one(in which case she's most definitely a Traitor, since a Loyal Data Gatherer wouldn't let her claim their role and scans to try and keep her alive I don't think). Mailliw actually died on Night 2 though, which was the Night after you scanned him.
  12. Seriously, why didn't the other Acolytes heal Mailliw??? Did they just decide they'd rather get his alignment? Did both of them decide that? Or were they inactive or something? Really, I don't understand this situation. Alv, if you're a good guy, I'd like to hear your opinions on players if you have them. Something I didn't even think about now either is that since Alv survived the lynch, he's claiming to have started with 2 roles(Giant-Blooded, which is how he survived the lynch I'm assuming, and Oldtown Acolyte), unless I'm missing something. Jerle claimed Shadowbinder. Hm. I've been suspicious of him for the whole game pretty much, so this situation is only making me more so. Do you know if he claimed to have attacked STINK? Or anyone?
  13. So should we lynch Alv again just to make sure he dies? Or what? I wouldn't put it past Ada to give the Traitors an Oldtown Acolyte, so if Alv is a Traitor, and they have one of those, he'll just get healed. Alvron Since he didn't heal Mailliw, and supposedly PK was blocked, that means it's unlikely that Alv was blocked or that Mailliw was blocked by a Builder. Does anyone have any information from their roles that would be worth sharing? Sart forgot to use his action(or did he? ), so that's sad. I don't have anything to report as of right now. If anyone wants to PM me, I'll tell you my role. Clanky was killed by the Turncloaks. Does anyone know what his role was? Do you think it would be worth it to bring him back? Mailliw really wanted to survive for some reason as well, but he was lynched, and he was quite involved in things, so I think getting his alignment might be worth just letting him stay dead. I don't know what his *second* role was though, or even if he had one.
  14. That was close BB. Good work though. As much as I wanted to lynch an evil!Adavantos for all the times he's avoided being lynched when he's evil, I'm happy with the result. Anyways, the reason I was defending BB as much as I was last Cycle was because he claimed Assassin to me on Night 1 and I knew he'd yet to use his ability. I asked him to attack Adavantos 2 Nights ago, but he didn't see my message until really late in the Cycle, and my "asking" him was more of a "what do you think about attacking Ada?" then a "can you attack Ada right now?" kinda question. One more thing. I'm in contact with yet another Hacker, and they claimed to have scanned Ada as Loyal 2 Nights ago(so they scanned him on Night 4). This means one of 2 things. Either that Hacker is a Traitor, or the Traitors have False Trails. Honestly, I've had the thought that the Traitors might have started with the only Hackers, and no False Trails role at all, thus allowing for a Loyal Data Gatherer to scan them and think they might be Loyal because 1. they were a Hacker, and 2. their role wasn't hidden by False Trails. However, since the Traitors just killed BB, I'm wondering if they either thought that BB was my Hacker contact(Ada was aware that I knew another Hacker) or they DO have a Data Gatherer and scanned him sometime. I haven't decided which theory I believe is more likely. Like Clanky said, I thought that if Ada was a Traitor, that LUNA may be as well. I'll post my reasoning when I have some more time. Edit: Here's basically what I told Clanky last Night Turn in our PM. So LUNA posted a while back(like 2 or 3 Cycles ago) about how she was suspicious of me, STINK and Adavantos for going after her a little. But last Day Turn, she claims she now thinks me and STINK are Loyal(complete change of opinion from before), and she's suspicious of Hellscythe and BB. No mention of Ada at all, even though she had said she was suspicious of him before, and I was accusing him very vocally right then, so her ignoring him right then is pretty suspicious to me. Then, last Night Turn, I asked her what she thought of Ada, and she told me that she's "been suspicious of him for a while tbh." So she was suspicious of both BB and Ada, and when she posted that, they both had a vote on them. Later, they both had 2 votes and eventually that was the outcome(a tied lynch). She never voted for either of them though. Add to that what Clanky pointed out, that Ada had been "suspicious" of her for a while, but never voted on her or really pushed for her to be lynched, and I think that makes her look quite suspicious. So to sum it up, here's the major points I think suggest LUNA is a Traitor: 1. Her and Ada have been casting suspicion on each other, but never actually try to lynch each other. 2. When Ada was coming under fire from me last Cycle, LUNA ignored him completely, going after Hellscythe and BB instead. 3. She didn't vote on Arraenae when STINK revealed her. (Although she said she pretty much forgot to, so I don't really want to focus on this point, since I don't like questioning players about real life stuff, even though she put it in black text, and never explicity said she "forgot.") 4. Her sudden change of opinion of me and STINK, with no explanation. Even if she has some sort of explanation, the change of heart is kinda surprising to me. So those reasons, and the reasons I stated a while back that roused my suspicion of her early on. Vote tally: LUNA(2): Clanky, Lopen
  15. Vote tally: Alvron(2): Sart, Clanky DeathClutch(2): Mailliw, Jerle Jerle(1): Lopen Lopen(0): PK Sart(0): Mailliw Players who have yet to post in the thread(5): Anamaximder(has not been online this Cycle), Elbereth(was online about 3 hours ago, so her lack of posting is pretty surprising to me, since she's usually pretty vocal), Kipper(has not been online this Cycle), Orlok(was online about an hour ago, but like Elbereth, hasn't posted yet, and while I don't think he's usually quite as active a player in the thread as Elbereth is, it's still a bit disconcerting) and LUNA(has not been online this Cycle). I'm still suspicious of Jerle. I had forgotten about STINK voting on Kipper on the first Cycle, and while that doesn't really clear him, it's better evidence than I've got for any other players at this point(evidence that he might be loyal that is ). DeathClutch doesn't really seem very suspicious to me. Alvron, it's hard to say. I've never been able to get a read on him I don't think(except maybe LG15b, but then Arraenae killed him ). If Alv is an Oldtown Acolyte, then he's very valuable(not to mention that he's a good player regardless of his role), so I'm wary of lynching him this early.
  16. So Stink(Reek) was killed by a Shadowbinder, and since Stink was a Stoneman, I'd say that all but clears whoever the Shadowbinder is. Nice work. Clanky, sorry for not doing much last Cycle. I had a pretty busy day yesterday, and I've just caught a cold, so I've been in bed for the last half of last Cycle. I don't really have a great reason for not voting though. My top 2 suspicions were Strawman and Jerle, but they're both new players, and Strawman had 4 votes on him, so I didn't end up voting at all. At this point, my top 2 suspicions are Jerle(for defending Strawman a little, and then voting on him and then removing that vote with not a lot of reasoning) and Kipper(gut). Other than the Shadowbinder(who I don't know who is), I don't think I trust anyone at all. I'll put my vote on Jerle for the reasons I mentioned above. I still don't understand your defense/vote/retracted vote stuff on Strawman. Edit: What PK? When did I condemn Strawman?
