  1. I fear that my post about players willingness to reveal in PM's but not the thread may have been part of the reason he revealed. I didn't intend to mean that players should reveal in the thread. I was just noting the way players tend to be when it comes to information. Players will often hold back important information from the thread for as long as possible(even sometimes when it would probably be wiser to make absolutely certain that information reaches the thread), but will reveal their role/ability fairly regularly if you just ask in a PM. One more thing before I'm off to bed, but I suggest that if anyone is gonna vote for any reason at all, do it before there's only 10 minutes left in the Month. Voting that late is almost always gonna cause problems. For you, or for the player you're voting against. If you want to get the tuition decrease, then fine, vote, but I don't think it's fair to vote for someone and not give them much of a chance to persuade you to move/remove your vote before the end of the Month. Like what happened with Elbereth last Month. It's possible she's a Skindancer and voting on her would actually help our team, but unless you actually think that might be the case and have solid reasoning for the vote(s), I'd advise you leave her and Burnt alone, voting wise.
  2. So, an interesting tidbit I can't believe I overlooked, but actually may confirm that Hellscythe is the Traitor. Here's the rule: False Trails - Your crew is extremely good at covering tracks - both its own, and those of others. Each Night Cycle, you can hide the Alignment and Role of yourself and/or another player during the next Cycle. This causes the target(s) to appear as Non-Specialist and Loyal. Unless stated otherwise by the player, you are assumed to be using this ability at Night on yourself. So, if I'm reading this right(finally), that means that neither Clanky nor Kynedath could be False Trails, since they were on the Mission on Night 3, which is the Night before Ada was scanned(Night 4, obviously ) and the Night the False Trails Traitor must have sent in the order to protect Adavantos. And if you're worried about Shallan, don't be. She was inactive all the way back since the beginning of Night 2, so she couldn't have sent in the order to protect Adavantos. Anyways, yeah, that relieves a little of my stress about getting this right. Even if I'm reading the rule wrong now, and initially had it right, I would still be voting on Hellscythe, just to make that 100% clear.
  3. Welcome The Honor Spren and Amanuensis! Hope you have fun! (< look, no malicious statements about killing or anything, this game is all about being friends and stuff ) I haven't read Calamity yet, so no spoilers please! I'm gonna read it very soon though.
  4. Well considering what the False Trails role is, that would be a dangerous stunt to pull to announce you're False Trails to me and STINK. At that point, I think one of us might have suggested in the thread for a Data Gathering player to contact us and then for you to turn your False Trails power off for yourself(while still protecting Ada probably) and Ada and the Data Gathering player to both scan you at once, which would end up with Ada having to tell us you were Loyal and hope that neither of you were killed by an Assassin or lynched at any point in the game, OR he would have no choice but to kill whoever claimed Data Gathering to us, which would cause suspicion to be placed on the both of you. So, since he'd already revealed Arraenae, I don't think the Traitors would try something as risky as that.
  5. Scanned Rae to get trust. Try to use said trust to protect random inactive teammate from being lynched. It sounds like a plausible strategy to me, especially since I believe you're a useful role like False Trails and Ada knew there was a Loyal Hacker out there. Ada told me he'd PM'd you when you asked for the spec doc to QF13(his game). Are you saying he didn't ask you about your inactivity? So where would he get that information?
  6. I guess I responded to your points in my last post. Your inactivity was odd to me and what you bring up was one thing I had thought about as well, making me slightly less suspicious of you, but now, I think the facts against you are enough that I believe you are the last Traitor. Something to combat that argument is that I believe your inactivity was actually caused somewhat by RL things, as even Ada told me that you were dealing with stuff that made you more inactive. Once Ada scanned you, he asked if you should be brought into the group PM I'd made with him, STINK and me. I said it was up to him. He responded by saying that because of his fear of False Trails and your odd inactivity, he figured it would be best to leave you clueless and just exclude you from the lynch unless there was reason to actually suspect you were evil. < comment I referenced earlier. He explained that he had talked to you in an OOG PM about your inactivity, and he said that "apparently he's just stupid busy and it has nothing to do with his alignment."
  7. Okay, so here's what my thoughts are on Clanky, Kynedath and Hellscythe. We know one of them is False Trails, so any scan on any of these is useless. Each of them claim to be roleless(of course). Clanky and Kynedath have volunteered for missions multiple times, while Hellscythe has not(well, basically once). Here's the facts: Clanky: Volunteered for Mission 1. Said he was still fine with going on the mission for Mission 2. Said he'd be active enough to send in orders if sent on the mission(so he was fine with it) for mission 3. Suggested putting inactives on the Mission on Mission 4. Again volunteered for going on the mission for Mission 5. Mission 6 is when phattemer said he was putting Lopen, Hellscythe, STINK and himself on the mission. Clanky then suggested putting Shallan on the mission, but he didn't. Mission 7 he suggested putting biggest suspicions on the mission. Conclusion: He was genuine about going on missions, and was in fact pushing for himself to go on missions. I don't think he is the Traitor False Trails player. The Traitors needed that role to protect Adavantos. He's OFTEN a target for scanning, so I wouldn't think the Traitor would volunteer as often as Clanky has. Another point for Clanky is his involvement in STINK's lynch. While that may sound odd, since STINK was Loyal, there was literally no reason for him to make up a theory like the one he did. If he was a Traitor, that would mean that both STINK and Hellscythe were Loyal, so why not just let Hellscythe get lynched, and then most likely STINK would be next? Overall, I would say that I trust Clanky the most. Kynedath: Volunteered for Mission 1. Volunteered for Mission 2 before it was even Night 2, sounding a little upset he wasn't able to go(post #154). Volunteered to me in our PM for Mission 3(I was the player who chose). Inactive for Night 4, so nothing on that. Volunteered for Mission 5. Was against killing Shallan for Mission 6(when phattemer chose), and other than that comment, nothing. After that, he didn't comment about missions. Conclusion: Like Clanky, he seemed genuine about wanting to go on Missions. Also like Clanky, I doubt he's the False Trails Traitor. Again, like Clanky, he switched his vote from Hellscythe to STINK. If he was a Traitor, there would have been no need, in fact, with phattemer voting on STINK, it would have been a bad idea to vote alongside him on a Loyal. Another point for Kynedath's Loyalty is that he voted on Adavantos with me on Day 5, when the lynch was tied on Ada and BB. Hellscythe: After being sent on Mission 1 by LUNA, he suggested to keep sending all the same players on the Mission(including himself), even though he was freaked out of dying on the mission. He went quiet for the next 4 Missions, only speaking up on Mission 6 when phatt said he was gonna put him on the mission. He said he was fine with it. Other than that though, nothing. Conclusion: Seems mighty shady(that was my message in the write-up in case you guys didn't see it). But for real, he claimed to not having any role to me on Night 1 I think, but he never volunteered or anything. His only suggestion was for all the players on the first Mission be put on future Missions, but even then he didn't push for that on the next Night or any Nights after that. So to me, he is the most likely player to be False Trails based on this information, seeing as he didn't speak up about Missions at all, and Kynedath and Clanky both were all for being on Missions. Another point against him is that Ada scanned him, and suggested we exclude him from the lynch unless there's good reason to suspect he's evil. Kinda wish I had payed more attention to that detail earlier actually. So I think he's the Traitor. Hellscythe, in response to your arguments: RE: phattemer's vote on STINK. When I explained about the Well-Connected issue, it was you and STINK who I was most suspicious of being the Well-Connected. I had initially thought it wouldn't be phattemer because of his inactivity(which I'm guessing was mostly feigned ). Turns out luckat was right about his odd timing to get online only during Nights. Another thing I wish I'd payed more attention to(I did reveal that in the thread, but didn't pursue it as much as I should have). Anyways, getting back on track, lynching you WOULD have made STINK look more suspicious, so him choosing to go after STINK instead of you does reflect badly on you. As far as putting both you and himself on the mission, I'm guessing he put both of you on the mission because he was gonna put himself on the mission, and knowing you were his protection from scans, he had to put you on there as well. He also might have been trying to help clear you both by having it succeed with 2 Traitors on it, not realizing that it would cause suspicion to be brought on you both the way it was. So there you have it. I've thought about this quite a lot, and have analyzed just about everything that each player has done, and I am pretty confident about my choice. I would like to hear your opinions though, seeing as this is the last lynch.
  8. Wonko, thanks for clearing that up. Were you saying you were gonna pass me the Nahlrout so I would pass it to the player I think might be the Alchemist? That would work. Silver, I don't really have any suggestions at the moment. Sorry. In response to Kynedaths and Haels posts, I am still suspicious of BB, but I don't think that it would make much sense for him and Wonko to be Skindancers together. It's possible that it's a similar scenario to what happened in MR10 with Ada going after his own teammate early on, only to back off and leave him alone later on, but this situation doesn't seem like it to me.
  9. 1. BB supposedly knew he was gonna get sabotaged??? 2. BB isn't Linguistic Analysis. I guess that makes me a little less cleared than I thought. 3. I am interested in his method of clearing people though. I don't really know where to go from here either. Getting an Analyst confirmed would be great, but I don't think that we should only focus on that. There are a ton of abilities out there that have a lot of potential. My guess would be that once players have those abilities and have used them once or twice, we should be able to start really questioning players, like we've done with BB already(I'm still suspicious of him, just to be perfectly clear). I don't really have any information of my own to give, since I don't have an ability. I was actually just thinking that this game would probably be played very much behind the scenes if it weren't for the Post:PM ratio thing, because of players hesitancy to reveal anything in the thread(which somehow doesn't really translate over to PM's). One question that still has remained unanswered for the most part. Why did STINK Assassinate PK? I think I may know of an Alchemy player. It's only a guess right now though, but I'll look into it.
  10. Corrin headed to the University first thing in the morning, hoping to have finally been elevated. I've studied hard, and tried my best. Maybe this is my time! He thought to himself, moving a little faster in anticipation. He reached the University practically running. Confident that he'd done enough to impress at least ONE of the Masters. His confidence began to fade however, as the day went on and he received no news or summons. He finished his classes for the day, and began heading back to his inn, not in a very bright mood. Throughout the day, he'd heard news even more troubling than his lack of progress in the ranks of the Arcanum. Some poor fellow in the Crockery had died mysteriously, and another student had been killed in the city. This is not good. It seems the Skindancers are doing their work very efficiently. I'll need to speak with the others to see if we've managed to find anything out about their identities or even just anything about them! If I had an in with any of the Masters, maybe I could learn a thing or two about all of this. Hm. I have money, I wonder if I could bribe them...
  11. Wow, you guys made me double post. Shame on you. Clanky, Hellscythe, why aren't you discussing things? This is the last Cycle!!! Please, talk about why you are Loyal or why you suspect someone is a Traitor. Kynedath, you too. If you'll notice, I edited my last post and voted on Hellscythe. My basis for voting on him is that I suspect the False Trails Traitor wouldn't want to go on the mission. Clanky and Kynedath have both constantly asked to go on missions, while Hellscythe hasn't been so gungho about it. Also, the only lynch phattemer took part of was the one to protect Hellscythe. I have some arguments for each player that are both good and bad though, so I don't want to just say, "hmm, yeah, I'm right, let's lynch this one person without discussing things at all, even though it's the last chance we get." I personally am most suspicious of Hellscythe right now, but I'd like for this to be a good Turn of discussion, as that will most likely give us the best chance to win. Shallan, we know the Traitor is the False Trails role, and we also know that you and I are Loyals, based on certain facts that I have pointed out previously. I understand you haven't been around though.
  12. Yeah, I PM'd Mark last Month and he told me he was on the Streets because he'd forgotten to place his lodging orders. So to spread awareness: I suggest everyone sends in their lodging orders now, so you don't forget to do it later. Danosaur, that lines up with my notes, so I'd say that's correct. I might add the part about 0th Elevation: Lopen, Only Joe, STINK. That way everyone is included(no one likes to be left out! ).
  13. I'll put my second vote on Silverblade I think. He's a Nobleman and has been elevated. I think it would be a good idea to minimize the damage done with the lynch, because unless we have a clear target or targets, we won't really be doing anything useful with the lynch. Danosaur, Elbereth is an Edema Ruh, and while I won't say that that makes her exempt completely for being voted on, I'd say there should be more evidence against her than for most others, since she's so poor. Same goes for Burnt. Please don't vote on these 2 players unless there's solid, justifiable reasons.
  14. One of you could have killed yourselves y'know. But I'm SO glad that you didn't. I was pretty much freaking out during almost all of the mission. I was reading through some things, and realized that the Traitors may have won if anyone died to the mission last Night. Their win condition is such that if there isn't enough players to carry out a mission, they win. So I was thinking, it might be that if we lynched the last Traitor, but only had 3 players left at the end, we may have still lost, since we couldn't carry out the mission. So yeah, I'm very relieved that no one died. Anyways, mostly I'm telling you all this because this means we have to actually lynch someone now. Which is why I said it was our last lynch. So get your thinking caps on, because we've got to figure this out. Edit: I don't want to double post guys. Seriously, what's up with you all? I've seen all of you on at one point or another. Isn't this more important than LG18 right now? Hellscythe
  15. I've basically been voting on those who've gotten elevated and can afford the tuition increase, since that way they probably won't lose much EP, and the tuition increase won't be crippling. So someone like DeathClutch, Silverblade, Mark, Dowanx, Sasuke, Mailliw, BB and Araris. Cealdish Commoners could also afford to be brought on the Horns as well I guess, so that also makes Kipper, Kynedath, Haelbarde and Danosaur possible targets. Elbereth and Burnt have both been elevated once, but they're the 2 Edema Ruh players, so it's too hurtful to them to increase their tuition by a full 2 talents. The dangers in voting on those who have been elevated is that if they get lashings then they can't use their abilities. The dangers of voting on those who haven't been elevated is that you might take away some of their EP's and lower their chances of getting an abilitiy. If players had Nahlrout, then the lashings wouldn't be too hurtful, even though you might lose some EP's.
  16. This is it guys. Our final lynch. Me and Shallan are confirmed Loyals as far as I can tell. So there's 3 suspects: Clanky, Kynedath and Hellscythe. To be completely honest, I am very conflicted about all of this. I do have my own opinion about each of the players, but would like to see who you all think is the Traitor before I post my analysis. (Plus, I don't really have my analysis all put together. It's just in my mind right now. )
  17. Corrin sat in his room, counting his money to pass the time as he waited for news from his family, and his stipend as well. Plink. "1 Silver Talent." Plink. "2 Silver Talents." Plink. "3 Silver Talents." He was interrupted by a knock at his door. He walked over and opened it to find the innkeeper along with his twin brother. "Saizo! What are you doing here?" Corrin asked. "Father sent me, Corrin," he replied, in a quiet somber tone. "Is something wrong? You don't seem like yourself," Corrin said. "It's our brother, Owain. He freed Leo(Leo is the brother who is already insane. I'm not sure if I ever said his name yet.), and they've both gone missing. Father and Mother fear the worst for them. I'm sorry. They thought it might be better for me to tell you. I've brought your stipend," Saizo said as he handed Corrin a bag that, by the size and the apparent weight of it, made even the innkeepers eyes widen a bit. "If we receive any news about Leo and Owain, we'll be sure to pass it on to you. I should get back though. The family needs me. I would like to ask though, have you figured out anything? Any clues?" he said in a hopeful voice. "No, nothing. Nothing at all," Corrin answered quietly, stunned by the news. "I see. Well, keep searching. We're counting on you brother," Saizo said as he turned and walked away. Corrin shut the door to his room and threw the bag of coins against a wall, causing it to open and let some of them spill out. What good will money do if I lose my sanity and my family? I heard that someone else attending the University has lost their sanity. Maybe I can look into that and see if I can root out the cause. I suppose I'll need to make a visit to the Crockery soon then. Corrin thought as he began picking up the scattered coins and placing them with the rest of his money. ------ Edit: Anyone want to do a vote tally? We may need to get some more votes so they're spread around a little more, thereby lowering the risk of expulsion or Conduct Unbecoming for any one player. Edit2: I actually have the time, and it doesn't take much, so... Vote tally: Wonko(3): Kipper, Kipper, BB Sasuke(2): Lopen, Dowanx BB(1): Mailliw STINK(1): Lopen STINK, so what exactly did you mean when you said you sent an Assassin to PK? Does that mean that you bought an Assassin this Month and decided to kill PK? Or what?
