That's really starting to annoy me. Ecthelion. I'll gladly lynch anyone besides me, even if it ends the game.

Araris, for some reason I failed to plant the Bloodseal on you. Did you target me with something?

Mid-Range Game 17: Hic Sunt Leones
TheMightyLopen replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
How exactly are we meant to trust the Julii appointed to steal from the highest Merit earning player? That is the basis of the plan after all, and given that there's no real evidence to trust anyone yet, I'd say that's a fairly big roadblock for the plan. I mean, if Doc/Bugsy think they're Faithful, that's all well and good, but there will always be doubt about them and any player they "soft-clear" using this method. Of course, we could eventually kill the Julii if we get enough soft-cleared people so that if they turn up as village, the soft-cleared group actually becomes soft-cleared, but, it kinda seemed like people are already willing to trust Doc/Bugsy's Julii, which is confusing me. I feel like I'm missing something here. Edit: Dang, Cycle is ending right now. Well, I do think it's a pretty good plan all things considered, so I'm fine with it the way it stands.- 589 replies

Mid-Range Game 17: Hic Sunt Leones
TheMightyLopen replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yeah, clearing innocents makes it that much more difficult for eliminators to hide, because it shrinks the pool of players who could be eliminators. Of course, we have to be wary of any Rath's, but I'm hoping that won't be too much of a problem. Hm. One benefit to confirming a players role is to confirm that they're not Rath, right? Because I don't think anyone can be from 2 Houses.- 589 replies

Mid-Range Game 17: Hic Sunt Leones
TheMightyLopen replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
So, does that mean that if you don't post at least once every 24 hours, you'll lose 5 merit? So the penalty isn't just for not posting during a Cycle? That's what I was hoping for, yes. By bringing attention to it, I'm hoping that everyone will participate in the lynch in a way that can help us determine alignment, rather than just appearing to be discussing. I'll admit, I enjoy having some form of protection as well. I think the benefit of getting a pulseShield is that it's passive, so you always have protection rather than just the one use of a ghostCloak or fleshMask. I think the ghostCloak is a better defensive and information gathering item than the fleshMask, but the fleshMask allows you to take other actions. So there are benefits to each of these items, but if you just want defense, a pulseShield is almost definitely the best(which is why it costs the most).- 589 replies

Mid-Range Game 17: Hic Sunt Leones
TheMightyLopen replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
1. Yeah, the lynch is a bit different in this game, but for the most part, I think it'll work pretty much like the regular lynch. Though I think this way might actually give more information, because the winner of a duel gets half of the Merit of the loser, so it adds another dimension to it. Which should make things that much more interesting! 2. Yep, agree with ya there. 3. I wish Luckat were playing so she could give really good advice for how to use Merit. My advice would be to mostly go for the information gathering items. I don't have time to give advice on each item right now, but I might in a little while. 4. On the subject of communication, I think it's important for the Faithful to try and get connected right from the start. You may want to save your Merit for cool items, but PM's are a very valuable information gathering mechanic in games apart from items/roles. I just quoted this because I wanted to say that even if you start a Duel, I think it could get us additional information if you also Cheered for someone as a sort of second opinion from you. That way, we don't just have a lot of Duel's and not very many people Cheering, which is how Duel's are going to gain relevance and discussion. Like, if you start a Duel on someone, but no one else really agrees with you, I suggest you don't just focus all of your game focused discussion on that one person. Basically, it's the same as the regular lynch mechanic, but I could see people using the fact that they initiated a Duel to kind of avoid discussing other Duels.- 589 replies

Only if Araris had targeted the thief with an non [Assist] action. Otherwise he wouldn't have known. Also, I don't believe unique items can be stolen randomly. The "Steal" ability can only steal items of TV5 or lower.

If someone stole an item that's unique, that means that they would have had to use the "Aggressive Heist" ability(found in "Thievery"), which means they knew exactly what the item was called. I have the Bloodseal. I'd rather not be lynched for no reason people. If Dalinar wants me dead, I say he should kill me himself.

Fair enough. I did Steal from you, so, I guess I can't act like I'm innocent. >> Araris. I've got nothing against you. If you have to have it back, I'll return the item I stole. I'm not sure who stole the other item from you though. If you don't mind me asking, what was it? Wilson, I'm kind of curious about what you and the other Independents are doing. Any chance I could be included? Don't worry, I wasn't sent on a secret mission by Aman to find out what you're up to, I'm just genuinely curious. I'm a Ghostblood, so I'm not technically an Independent, but since my faction was wiped out so early, I've basically been on my own for the majority of the game.

You were helping Dalinar, which was hurtful to my goal. If anything, I'd say I was getting revenge by stealing one of your items. So, Araris.

Nah, it was just a plain "Sword." One-use. Even though it looks like we're not gonna have a lynch, Dalinar. Just thought I'd return the favor.

That's a problem then. I've got some items, but I don't know what they're worth and I need items for my goal. :/ Actually, forget it. I have a pistol, he has a Shardblade. We can just duel it out this upcoming Night. If he wins, he can heal himself. If he loses, well, he's dead and it doesn't matter if you give him the healing item.

Yeah, I decided to take a new angle. Seriously though, just about everything that could go wrong in the first 2 Cycles, did. Mage got lynched Day 1, Luckat got found out immediately and so got killed by Joe, and the best item(highest TV at least) I've stolen all game magically gets returned. @Araris Valerian, would you mind not interfering in mine and Dalinar's duel? I'd very much appreciate it if you didn't give him that healing item.

It was actually an item. A Sword, to be specific(I think someone else has one of these). I like to think that as Shallan(Dalinar ) summoned her Shardblade to kill me, I quickly threw my Sword at her which forced her to jump out of the way and drop her Shardblade, giving me just enough time to escape being killed(in other words, my Sword was a passive, one use item that roleblocks the first [attack] action against me). I dropped a hint in my World PM. I can't just reveal. Where's the fun in that?

Well, I know for a fact that Dalinar has a unique item, so if we lynched him, maybe we could get you that! My enormously powerful protective ability was just a one-use item, which you so rudely broke by attacking me(it was passive). I had said I'd mostly given up on my goals yes, but then I decided to just go ahead and try to accomplish my 2 individual goals rather than just stop playing(since my team got wiped out by the 2nd Cycle, my faction goal is practically impossible ). Anyways, one of my goals is for you to die, hence the poisoning. Actually, the goal was for both Mraize and you to die, but Mraize is dead already, so you're the one player left in the game that I need dead.

Yeeaaah, that was me. I've no reason to use the items, I just need lots of items for one of my goals. Do you need to have these back, or would you be so kind as to let me hold onto them? Pretty please? I'm planning on only stealing from inactives or players who don't need items to complete any of their goals after this. I was just rushed when I sent in my orders last Night, so I picked 3 people from my World randomly(the other player I stole from had no items ).

It looked more like Bugsy wants to be in Sel for his win con rather than needing to meet up with Stick specifically. Stick has also claimed her role too, and if she's telling the truth, she's not on GoH I wouldn't think. Has she claimed in the thread already? I thought she did...

1. Good, pretty sure thats how the game is supposed to be played. I'm sure I've got an enemy somewhere out there and I don't want to reveal anything about myself I don't need to. 2. If Dow was GoH, he would have known he wasn't that and Mage made it pretty clear he wasn't a Child. Granted, I haven't looked at that pm for a bit. But I didn't want to end the game by Bugsy being lynched and I was on my way to church, so I picked him to vote for since I didn't have time to vote alongside any last minute lynch. 3. Huh, okay. I just didn't recall anyone mentioning Bugsy as suspicious, so it was surprising to see you suggest lynching him over a self proclaimed evil. 4. :/ 5. I've noticed that before as well, and actually, me and Burnt are rarely on the same team either. 6. I've noticed that too, and like to return the favor. 7. I wish that were true. Would be funner than being so alone. Really though Burnt, you have been crazy quiet. You could consider me on her team I guess. If we get to the same planet, I was gonna try to help her with her goals. Well, it's been fun but I should definitely sleep now.

Why are you suspicious of me? I feel I've explained my actions sufficiently. If you're going to try to cast suspicion on me, I'd appreciate reasons. I've been quiet? Yep, I don't really care what other people do. Just saying, you're putting pressure on the wrong petson. I'm not a GoH member. I've given my honest opinion on players. As far as my goals go, 1 is basically impossible. 1 involves holding a certain amount of items at the end of the game. And the last one, well, let's just say GM's are trolls sometimes and delight in messing with people in creative ways. (Just kidding GM's everywhere, ya'llaregreatpleasedontkillmewithyourallpowerfulgmpower)
