  1. Granted. The only reply you ever get is "UR A N00B!!!1!111!" "UR A N00B!!!1!111!" I wish for a sock... with magical powers.
  2. Really? I would actually think Kaladin would be closer to the Hammer: A good and decisive leader, but not that "refined." Dalinar, on the other hand, is a budding politician: I can totally see him for as a Screwdriver, a device for a purpose requiring finer control.
  3. As in... normal burning? Or is there something else you're talking about?
  4. A great analogy! Upvote for you! ... Which one's the hammer, though?
  5. Granted. You cannot post anywhere else. Ever. I wish for... infinite energy for my house. And I second (third?) the upvote thing.
  6. Granted. You are caught by Ruin and kill yourself. I wish to be able to travel into and out of the Cosmere at will, instantaneously.
  7. I was on the same line of thought, actually. Meanwhile, nobody seems interested in the Santhid/Chasmfiend/Quartet thread. Well, no-one has posted, in any case. So, any proposals on a new topic? Or shall we go into speculation?
  8. Woah there, dude! This is great!
  9. Granted. Aerlevsedi. You are hereby forbidden from speaking. I wish I was a Valheru lord.
  10. ... Of course! This solves everything!
  11. A good theory, though personally feel that Santhids are just too different from Chasmfiends to be an evolutionary ancestor. Plus, IIRC, I think I remember Shallan and... Adolin? speculating about Chasmfiends and what they become after pupation is complete. I remember they spoke of a water-bound species which may have been relatives of Chasmfiends, or pupated ones. In either case, remember that the Chasmfiend is, basically, the "Caterpillar." We still don't know what they're like once matured.
  12. Ah, good to know. *writes down* "Wheel of Time fan. Call in on vs. threads(?)"
  13. Hmm... well, I can also get my hands on Mistborn easier... We'll see. Meanwhile, as of now, Wheel of Time is my best. Sorry! *runs away*
  14. Seems fine, though I always thought that the shell was against Highstorms: they could prove deadly to a "soft" creature, which seems to be a better reason to evolve a shell. Especially if it's always afloat.
  15. Hehe, my view's the opposite. I would say that the eye is EASIER to recharge in, if that is indeed what has been shown. It's kinda baseless, though, so I'm not even going to bother arguing it.
  16. Well, some people say Elantris, others Mistborn. I'm so conflicted!
  17. Ah. And no, they weren't constantly recharging. I just don't remember it specifying anywhere that the EYE of the storm is needed to recharge.
  18. One wonders how he has avoided it, yes. Meanwhile, what investiture? As far as I'm concerned, he's sold his Breath long ago.
  19. About Highstorms: But... when Szeth and Kaladin were fighting inside the highstorm (or was it the Everstorm? I dunno.) didn't Szeth recharge? I'm pretty sure he wasn't in the eye of the storm then. About Honorblades: Fair enough. Was it mentioned in Stormlight, or another Cosmere book? I've only read SA and Warbreaker, and am currently reading Elantris. Mistborn will be next.
  20. Just about this. Though, half the time she was just getting by on "I'm a Lighteyes."
  21. Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. However, it does not explain the tentacles. I'm thinking something along the lines of jellyfish, which use the tentacles to stun prey. Also, also, again, what's the point of the HUGE eye, then?
  22. Well, I'm fairly certain he could have lashed to Honorblade up and gone after Szeth. While the Blade was powerful, Szeth`s information was probably more useful, especially as it was shown that a normal person with a Shardblade could be defeated by a Radiant. You need the eye of the storm specifically? I thought it was just about anything.
  23. There we go! Thank you! So, yeah. How do Santhids work? They seem a bit... big to be predators, but that shouldn't discount the possibility. Why do they have the giant eye? Why are it's tentacles so long?
  24. You know, I think nobody really cared after the Parshendi. Funny thing is, that's the one excerpt that always, without fail, pissed me off. I don't think Kaladin had any right to call Szeth a coward, especially as he knew nothing about him. Heck, it takes a coward to commit suicide in the face of the odds: Kaladin would have done that if Syl hadn't been there for him. Meanwhile, Szeth lived through something as bad or worse for... what? 8 years? And had nobody to stop him. He could easily have crumbled and killed himself, but did not.
