  1. Go for it. I`ll even allow you to read it. However, at every 50th word you get violently sick, and every new chapter the symptoms worsen. You go into a coma after finishing the last chapter, and lose the ability to read or be read to in any way should you ever awaken. I wish for all banes ever given in this thread to be conferred irrevocably upon whoever grants this wish, the moment they grant it.
  2. Slightly irrelevant, but is there a thread that discusses why in hell Honorblade Stormlight consumption is so high compared to regular Nahel bonds?
  3. Innovative. Skydiving is like petting a happy kitten.
  4. Why not? Of course, you realize that everything you improvise ends up going totally and horrifically wrong. It doesn't affect YOU, though: instead, everyone you love pays the price. You are forever burdened by the guilt of causing your family so much grief. You could end it at any time, but you know that that would make it worse for them, so you suffer further. Your bane is that your "master plan" is to be immortal. You succeed. I wish to know whether that bane was too harsh or not.
  5. Since you didn't wish anything, your bane is everything given since the last person to do this. There, the bane you gave me is in there too. I wish for some chouta. Some vegetarian chouta, that is.
  6. In all truth, I feel like he's not really "masking" there.
  7. Both have to do with mashing and squeezing? (I really just wanted to bring this back up. Also, nobody really knows what a mosh pit is.) Let's try this AGAIN: Car'a'carn is like a plague.
  8. ^Fixed. Sure. Have fun with your curses. Also, my bane is that said curses are greatly amplified in the worst way possible (for you, that it.) You MEANT for that to happen, right? I wish for a close encounter of the seventh kind.
  9. I like this wild speculation of yours.
  10. Sure. You go completely and totally insane from the instant gain of millenia worth of knowledge. Bad idea, that. I wish to devour the unborn.
  11. Granted. You now have the ability to make the world's best hemalurgic spike cookies. You must consume them yourself, and they are made of zinc. I wish for this thread to be ended, with no way for it to be resurrected or otherwise made active again.
  12. Not that it matters, considering that everyone unimportant to the plot that Kal tries to save ends up dying. Also, yes, I have doomed the world. Sorry, Enna. The Car'a'carn thing was good, though.
  13. As an aside: Nope. Canada FTW.
  14. Fine. You're okay with cremlings, yeah? Donald Trump. I wish bitter gourd was less yummy. Okay, no. That stuff is disgusting. Instead, I wish for Donald Trump to become POTUS.
  15. Eh, we seem to disagree on a lot of things. Maybe it's because it's happened more recently. Anyway, I was actually saying the same thing (unless I'm misunderstanding you, that is.) Gaining power should not necessarily mean growth for a character, while conversely topping out in power shouldn't mean that character growth stops. Also, note that I put quotation marks around "done". I meant an end to the "focus" on them, to move on to other characters. By no means should a major character be abandoned like that. For sure. That is actually my main reason: in my previous post, I was merely trying to counter what Muco said. I won't lie and say I don't want Kal gone for other reasons, (refer to: "What's With all the Kaladin Love?") but I think more screen time for ANY other character (well, except Shallan, I guess...) would be welcome indeed. I usually love the "one-protagonist" thing, but in SLR there are simply too many interesting characters to just love one. (Also, I want more Szeth time. ) In any case, I think we're on the same page, just a bit off on communication.
  16. Agree with Maxal, which is strange in and of itself. In any case, there's also the fact that "amount of power" should never be a criterion for whether a character is "done" yet. Admittedly, many series have exactly such a thing, but they tend to be rather... second-rate, for the most part. The main problem with your analogy is that MMOs are hardly story-driven, and we're definitely not playing a game here. Yes, he has yet to learn what it means to be a true Windrunner. However, this can easily be done off-screen; I seriously don't want to read through half a book every single time he has to take an oath. Give us proof of his growth on-screen, but don't make us read through him realizing various things that already fit into his character and don't do much for it.
  17. Well, okay. I was going to do a thing about mental fatigue, but then I realized I could do one much better: The songs playing in your head annoy people. You become an outcast, unloved by any, and spend the rest of your life in isolation. With songs forever playing through your spectacles, to attract all sorts of dangerous things. I wish for this thread to e- wait, I've killed this thread before. Instead, I wish for Enna to not be able to give me a curse, or effect me detrimentally in any way.
  18. Oh, sure. You can now tie surge protectors to yourself. At least electrocution is less likely now...? I wish I was a ninga. Yeah, ninGa. Deal with it.
  19. You know what I hate? When people say Adolin would go murderous just because of the Sadeas thing. I mean, there was so much history and context there, which just wouldn't exist in most cases. I think he's smarter than that: tackling the Ghostbloods alone won't get him anywhere. He'd be more than capable of taking the subtle route, even if it's not quite in his nature. Agree with Dadrada, though. Kal's continuing role, while important, seems much easier to cut out than Shallan's. Plus, I'm sort of done with Wonder-Boy: Adolin, Renarin, or Jasnah seem the more interesting in that part of the story. Then, of course, there's Szeth: this one's obvious. Shallan has some value, but I feel she's more of an information-centered character than anything.
  20. Cabbage. Cabbage cabbage cabbage cabbage, cabbage cabbage cabbage. Cabbage. Cabbage cabbage cabbage cabbage cabbage.
  21. Granted. You will get an Acceptable, and your decidedly pureblood family will demand to know how a mudblood could beat you. When you cannot provide a satisfactory answer, they will disown you. I wish to become an <insert fantasy creature here>
  22. Sure, why not? You eventually turn into a slug yourself, and are killed by Car'a'carn the Slug-hater, I wish to reverse time, and stop WoT from being written.
  23. Bump. Annoying wish which annoyed people has been remedied.
  24. What fandom is that?
  25. *sigh* I hate Oathbringer, and I want to read it so much. Dammit.
