  1. Oh Lightsong... what a treasure trove of quotes. In other Sanderson news...
  2. This is a spectacular idea! The David and Lopen one had me tearing up a bit I was laughing so hard. Here's one:
  3. I just read more about extruding plastic resins than any sentient life form should ever have to endure... That was excruciating.
  4. I finally got around to starting Firefight, I read the first hundred pages last night before going to bed. It is really... really... good... My only response so far is something along the line of looking in the mirror and being like:
  5. Apparently you just change your name to Integra and then put on some sunglasses...
  6. Good luck with that... Anyways, I would go with Marsh on the back of compounded speed and gold alone.
  7. It is referenced in book although I would guess that Brandon confirmed it at one of the signings.
  8. Isn't it though? I held a baby Panda in Cheng Du when I was living in China. THEY ARE AWESOME!
  9. In context it would seem he is hiding his exact age to not be pushed into retirement. With that said, I very much like this idea. It seems exactly like the type of misdirection Brandon uses.
  10. I saw this today and couldn't stop laughing...
  11. A couple of things here, Infusing a Lerasium bead with breaths and/or stormlight would be very difficult. Investiture doesn't usually react well with other investiture. As for the Feruchemical charge, if said Allomancer isn't the Feruchemist who charged the bead as a metalmind then it the feruchemical charge would give no additional effect. It would be like when Vin tried to burn Sazed's metalmind.
  12. Correct: Relevent WoB:
  13. Woo Halloween (almost)! Edit: 300 posts, nifty.
  14. I think the answer is actually pretty simple, it is a matter of honor and money. It is implied by Tuon along with other Seanchan nobles (I think Egeanin specifically addresses the issue) that the assassins' families are very well compensated. Think of people committing suicide for life insurance fraud to support their families then factor in that failure still leads to compensation and success probably a lot more. In addition, it is ingrained into the Seanchan people that there is no higher calling than serving the empire. I would guess that many of the assassins see giving their lives to the empire as something to be prideful of.
  15. I don't think he would be able to act. He is both Preservation and Ruin. If anything this would just the Ruin side of the coin. There is an exception to the rule with the Kandra because of the contract. I suspect that if the contract didn't exist Harmony would not be allowed (by his own intents) to control them. With that said, I very much suspect he would try to influence the killer into a direction that serves his own devices similar to what he most likely does with Marsh.
  16. Funny, this was my exact thought. I hope they revamp the match finding quite a bit. In Halo 4 (and MCC for that matter) I think they did a much better job. I like the categorical lobbies rather than just general slayer. But as you said Team BRs is the game I want back the most.
  17. There are a few WoBs about this:
  18. I'm playing it, it is alright so far. Not great, but still fun. On the one hand, I am glad they moved away from the loadout system but I miss always starting with a Battle Rifle...
  19. That can't be in the book, that did happen.
  20. Well, even if we get a Nalthis novella or short story, I doubt we will find out what happened until we get "Nightblood".
