  1. @WeiryWriter, I've always pronounced it like this too. Apparently We are nobody. Not sure if that puts you in good company or not but there you go. As for the Michael Kramer love/hatred, meh he's fine. Kate Redding on the other hand is a delight.
  2. I hadn't considered the Elantrian (Hoed) mantres but you are likely on the right track. I was equating the screams of the blades to the screams Szeth was hearing which likely have the same root; Spiritual aspect damage.
  3. I think you are missing something here. It isn't that Spren scream when a KR touch them. Dead-Spren shardblades scream when KR touch them. I suspect this is a resonance of someone with an intact Nahel Bond touching a Spren who was killed by the breaking of the bond. My best guess (this is speculation) would be that when the Nahel Bond is broken the Spiritual and/or Cognitive aspects of the Spren are damaged and when someone with a Nahel Bond touches them it is like sticking a finger in the wound. I suspect that the Knights didn't understand what breaking the bond would do to the Spren, it likely wasn't deliberately vengeful. Even if they did know, I doubt it was a malicious move, the Knights may have just believed it was necessary (a lesser of two evils situation).
  4. Yes, I have a strict 100 problems is too many policy.
  5. Happy Friday Everyone!
  6. I find it very entertaining the Brandon likely adopted the snorting and eyebrow raising from Robert Jordan. For those who haven't read the Wheel of Time both are staples dating back to The Eye of the World.
  7. Thanks! Well in the interim, keep it up, your writing is quite captivating.
  8. @TwiLyghtSansSparkles, can I start getting included on these summonings? Excellent by the way :-)
  9. I couldn't go this year because of work X_X I will be there next year though, I plan on making sure I have the time off as of this December (which is the earlier I can take it off for next year).
  10. Just a somewhat relevant WoB:
  11. I'd go with Atium:
  12. The Sovereign

    Why?

At the point the best we can do is make educated speculations, with that said @The One Who Connects did some up a decent amount of the pertinent information that we actually know. A couple of other important things: Hoid was present for Adonalsium's shattering and we know he is collecting invesiture from each of the shards. A popular theory is that he is trying to build connection to each to reassemble Adonalsium's power.
  13. I've always heard "Lamplighter" which is essentially the same thing.
  14. INTJ, not surprising, I have taken a few of these quizzes in the past and always get INTJ... Yay for consistency I guess.
  15. I saw this in the theatre and actually fell asleep so I've seen like the first 10 minutes and the last 10 minutes... oops. *Unrelated, but ALWAYS related... Christoph Waltz is a treasure.
  16. I generally agree with your sentiment here. With that said, I did find a small kernel of hope in the fact that Harriet will be directly involved.
  17. WoB Showing that Splintering isn't permanent: A relatively popular theory is that re-assembling Adonalsium is Hoid's goal. We know that he is collecting investiture from each of the magic systems (Lerasium, attempting to become an Elantrian, etc.) and many believe he is doing so so he can gain connection to each shard.
  18. Alas, I have not. She just started it about 2 weeks ago and she isn't the fastest reader.
  19. Ice Cube would be proud.
  20. Honestly I was quite satisfied with the last 3 books of WOT. I only had one real issue with AMoL; Just before "The Last Battle" at Merrilor Egwene goes to talk to Mat and is followed by Llewyn (Egeanin). We get a quick glimpse into Mat's interior monologue and he makes some comment about "that Seanchan that follows Egwene around" like he doesn't know her. How did none of the copy editors not stop and go "Hmm, didn't they travel together and pretend to be lovers for like 2.5 books?" Edit: Oh and the Elayne's speech before they attack the Trolloc army was a weird combination of forced, out of place, and awkward.
  21. You are not misremembering, I remember this WoB although I am also having trouble finding it. I believe that he said that there would be more needed to access the metalmind (which we can now assume involves Identity manipulation), but that it would be sensed differently than trying just trying to use a metalmind of another Feruchemist almost like familiar but still foreign.
  22. Zane was augmented by his Hemalurgic Spike: WoB: As for Kelsier, I've never seen a WoB relating to his Steel and/or Iron being enhanced. I have heard Brandon say in person that Kelsier was abnormally talented with Steel Pushing and Iron Pulling so that may be what you are thinking of. The indication I had heard from Brandon on that however that it was all Kelsier in a Mozart could just play music type of way.
  23. I'm pretty well versed in the WoBs and I don't think that there is one confirming this. With that said, During Era 1 Kelsier wasn't Mistborn for all that long (a couple of years) so it is unlikely that he became a savant as he wasn't constantly burning his metals or anything like that. With that said, (BoM/Secret History spoiler)
