    There is a recent WoB about it being tricky using the end- terminology to classify other systems of magic. With regards to Selish magics, until we can be certain the Initiation procedure(s), I'd venture Forgery to be more end-neutral than positive. I think (although don't quote me), that it is also one of Sel's systems that uses the least amount of Investiture, so the person practicing may not actually need to have a heavily cracked spiritweb

    IIRC, there will be a diff prologue for the back five and Gavilar's would be the last of the firstrfirstr half, but I can't remember where it was so take it with a pinch of salt

    Glass Art/Stained Glass is something that has always interested me. But this is hardly a career. Nor are any libraries currently hiring I wouldn't mind review journalism but lack the subsequent qualifications or funds to attain them I wouldn't mind learning a trade skill (perhaps plumbing or electrics) but lack the time, money and affinity to undertake such an endeavour. I'm not much of a numbers person so accountancy and other related fields are definitely not a good option. If only the 17th Shard organisation were employing

    I actually loved it more on my reread. I think it's great! I like the cliffhanger chapters, as it reminds me of the design of SA. As for bald mastrells, I think its primarily a rank thing as most of the on screen acolents have hair whilst all those above that don't. I didn't have trouble distinguishing people although there was a colouring issue in one panel where they got the colours two professor's suits the wrong way round (I love their banter).

    Aisha/Shalla; I'm having trouble deciding if either are an actual curse word, or someone's name... Now, presuming that the person at the top of the map is female (and not an androgynous representation of Bavadin) could either of these names belong to them? Granted, we have so little info, but already I'm abuzz with questions

    It has been RAFO'd if Surgebinders/Radiants are granted longevity as a result of the bond (including after the Recreance), possibly in regards to how it is impossible to kill an idea outright, only kinda, so perhaps if they are brought closer to the CR, then longevity could be a resulting action

    I liked it. Felt a little awkward, but when we're used to heavily detailed epic fantasy in novel form, I will happily let it slide. A little sad that I have to wait for 2&3 but I don't mind. We usually only get the AA stuff at the end of a book, so we'll probably have to wait till number 3. I think Hoid will be appearing in number 2. Khriss was fine to me; we're used to her being a major nerd scholar so its good to see where she started from

    She touches very very briefly about noticing patterns in some kind of (?)rock formation(?) in her parents' garden during her early childhood, which is probably the start of the proto-surgebinder phase

    On my fire, I read Sandman: Overture. It was about an equal pro/con. Mine's only a 7" but it was alright reading, just a slight bit awkward.

    @thegatorgirl00 Do you have the location of that WoB? I've seen others say the same and don't recall seeing the WoB so I wonder if it's one I've missed

    You could say that a Sliver is someone who has held and/or used enough of a Shard's power to fill a Shardpool/Perpendicularity (as IIRC, the liquid form of Investiture is the most potent, I may have to track down this WoB) although the problem with that statement is that the size of Preservation's Shardpool is different to that of (presumably) Devotions (although that may just be due to the shape of each pool's container, + other variables
