I've always liked to think cultivation was near the purelake! But why would all of roshar get the crem from cultivation and not the one place she was in?

I don't think regrowth is soulcasting altho I have just been convinced of the necessity of everything needing specific gems but they soulcast buildings from air in stages which takes time, so there is no reason that soulcasting air to new flesh all in the right places would be as instant as turning a solid object into something pure

So all spren can be bound? What of honour is the spren lol and axies is goin around makin a bound with all of it! Lol

Well to be fair either hoid or the seventeenth shard were there at the time too (ye we know hoid was but the seventeenth shard also seems rly old ) from the ads arcanum (they wouldn't have been an option if they weren't around right!) so the seventeenth shard could have been recruiting at the time and saw potential in him! Not saying it has to be him just saying its possible!

I also agree the blood should not be counted as evidence we don't even know if soulcasting as a kr wannabe requires the specific gem or if that's just the fabrials (yes jasnah uses them but she is also trying to keep her cover) The creative/honest is a strong strong link tho, she is often attracting creation spren with her drawing and she gets into trouble alot for saying what she thinks however it's the truthspren that really do it for me kaladin leads and protects and he gains use of abilities, shallan has to say a truth about herself, with a stronger (not really a hard measuring for how true something is that I know of other then yes/no but u know why I mean!) truth granting more access. When u look at that it's almost hard to see how she wouldn't be creative/honest ESP if her memories are another power, but I believe she has been able to use them since she was young? Far before she started seeing spren in them but just pointing out it ties heavily with her creative side!

I don't know which shard spren are for sure but there are life spren, they pop up around growing plants and stuff, usually after highstorm, when they are sucking up stormwater....which makes plants grow better...which is everywhere but shinovar. Most of roshar we see (apart from shinovar) is rock.... What's more impressive growing? Som grass on the only place that there is still dirt, or numerous different plants which manage to thrive in a land of ston and highstorms and aren't seen anywhere else in the cosmere. How about looking at it this way, we see dirt and grass in all ye worlds with or without shards (except for a while on scadrial but it goes back) now on the world with a shard called cultivation you have abit of normal dirt with normal grass, or you have crazy plants that manage to thrive on one of the harshest land we have ever seen....

Ofc if you look at it another way shinovar isn't cultivation at all because they have dumb plants and get stormwater at all which has been proven to make stuff grow better and they don't even get life spren around growing things! (well they get no spren at all) if anything seems they are far from cultivation their stuff jst grows like normal stuff! Quite sure the apprentice is sigzil Also just to note, their culture of having warriors lowest would be normal progression if they were the land furthest from the only warriors in the lands...they woulda had a totally different focus!

If you want to stick with the canon so much why do t you just use compound and Compound if ur gonna change it change it to something that sounds good! xD (to me surge just doesn't sound right despite being a lovely word )

I believe they just elf stormlight really well, stocked up on a load which is why their eyes are faintly/almost glowing it leaks but only at a barely noticeable level, perhaps they power the shardplates not the other way round

And jasnah shares soulcasting with her and is unlikely to be 5? how do you even know she was against an unknown number of assailants, and did u see how she handled it? Being careful doesn't mean avoiding anything dangerous completely, even if there were another 10 they woulda starte running and we dot know what her other ability is... She probably does it just may not have been necessary Also she would not have been able to deal withy he problem if she brought a load of soldiers.... They woulda just hidden and people would still be robbed and murdered on the way to the theatre Once again it's like saying kaladin doesn't protect people because he killed tht shardbearer and that's not protecting, his team was dead so he wasn't even protecting them! Jasnah is also under constant threat of assassination, she is still alive. Considering the competence and dedication we have seen from Kabsal who is just one she must be careful, alot, else she would be dead for doing what she sees is right

just because you would put drained into a sentence in a different way to surge or compound doesnt not mean it cannot be used to mean exactly the same thing :/ im also with crazyrioter on surge

We have seen half of them, we saw more of Kelek and jezrien then we did of taln and there was no stipulation in the op saying main characters, there is even a group called various bridgemen with even less evidence then we have that heralds are alive and can use stormlight. I'm not saying that it shouldn't be there, it should, but if your looking to name those that might be able to use stormlight and include taln I hardly see why the other heralds should be discounted. The fact that they're still alive shows they must retain some knowledge or powers, even after abandoning the oathpact. Personally I don't rly care either way as I dont know much about them, I just don't see why they don't fit the criteria when they have all the evidence that some of the others possess Edit: also at what point do 9 immortals with great power some dangling on the edge of madness, possibly completely consumed by it, sound like people that won't have much of a part in the coming destruction of the world ? I reckon we may see some of them again...

Well you say that but if only 2 orders can soulcast and it is strongly believed shallan is 6 and the picture is right order and that orders next to each other share a surge then there is only one order jasnah is likely to be! And she fits the virtues fine if people stop obsessing about her being order 2 xD kaladin doesn't require different gems to suck up stormlight and use his powers, I doubt jasnah does, she just uses smoke alot cos she has a big smoke stone and soulcasters DO require different gems for diff stuff (I think). Smoke is actually quite a useful one to carry around if your being forced into pretending ur using a soulcaster as we have seen!
