I saw that more as talking about Eshonai, about to rediscover the Voidbringer forms, but that's an interesting thought. The bridge referred to Odium's power being brought against Roshar through the Parshendi in the first interpretation (through the Everstorm primarily), but what if it's a bridge between say, the honorspren and the Parshendi? Or the Radiants and the Parshendi? It could be very good or very bad. jW

There's a WoB saying that Khriss is the most knowledgeable about the Cosmere. That doesn't mean she knows everything Hoid knows or vice versa, but she is said to have the most (largest collection) of knowledge, which makes sense since that's what she is all about, while Hoid has other goals. jW

There's so much here that I may have missed it being mentioned, but my thoughts on Adolin ditching the Shardblade (Oathbringer) out the window are two-fold: I think he wanted to protect his father's blade, probably only barely conscious of that part I think he wanted people to assume that the killer/assassin was after the Shardblade, and since he already has one, he wouldn't be a likely suspect right away jW

I believe it's stated or at least indicated that they do eventually stop working, so that would be a logical explanation. jW

I believe the confirmation is that the Shard's Intent isn't why they're hiding, so that could make for some even more interesting possibilities. It's also possible we basically won't see that Shard until something forces it to become involved somewhere. That's…absolutely horrific to think about. Wow. Good job making Odium look tame. jW

You'd know if you've read the Wheel of Time series. Though, it's a crazy tough question, one I definitely can't answer. jW

Having a Bad Day?: Get 'yer Hugs here!!
Jondesu replied to Curious Anamaximder's topic in General Discussion
We've worked on it and still are. My doctor is being awesome, this part is just beyond his specialty, and we've been through several neurologists who haven't been as helpful. Tried to get into the Mayo Clinic too, but they have an insane wait list and wouldn't even add me to it (I have a connection through my Grandpa that might help there). Mostly I have just stopped trying myself, and my wife handles all the medical arrangements. I can't even think straight most of the time. jW -
Having a Bad Day?: Get 'yer Hugs here!!
Jondesu replied to Curious Anamaximder's topic in General Discussion
Not really. Current running theory is three virus "coinfections" that my doctor knows causes fatigue, nerve sensitive, and chronic pain. Constant headaches aren't something he's seen with those before, though, so while we're treating the viruses, we aren't certain at all that will relieve the head pain. I have been on disability leave since January, so at least I no longer have to work through it (which left me suicidal at one point). jW -
Hatched four 5km eggs today. Two were almost there already, but I put in the extra 5km of walking to hatch the other two (I have two incubators). Got a Ponyta and a Koffing for the trouble, nothing all that special, but I was a bit proud of myself anyways. Edit: As you might expect, I am now quite sore (legs especially). Also, Pikachu! Escaped from a Great Ball, despite Razz Berries, curve balls, "Nice" and "Great" hits...6 times in a row! The only one I've seen, stuck around through all that, then ran away from me. So I still don't have a Pikachu. jW

Lol, same! My brother and I worked together to claim one (twice) and it never lasted more than maybe 30 seconds. Didn't realize that's why I couldn't leave my best Pokémon to defend it, thanks for pointing that out. jW

Having a Bad Day?: Get 'yer Hugs here!!

So sometimes when I can't get to sleep, I end up doing some mental math. Todays calculation: 953 days and counting since the onset of my constant pain. 953 days with no real rest or relief. September 26 will be 1000 days, and I have no reason to think it'll be any better by then. Jan 1, 2017 will mark 3 years. jW -
Yeah, I think Dr Strange had the Soul Gem at at least one time in the comics, and they might include it in his movie. I don't know that they will, but it could be a good time to at least introduce it. Alternately, what if Thanos already has one or more of those? He's looking to get them all, but that would also make it more understandable that he would give Loki one of his three in order to get some of the others. jW
-
@Delightful, I believe the Tessaract has been confirmed as the Space Gem. If not confirmed, it's very likely. I really didn't think that what was in Loki's staff had been confirmed as the Mind Gem either, because of the weird logic that would have Thanos loan it to Loki as mentioned. jW

Amaram truly believes he did the right thing. Sadeas knows what he's doing is wrong and is only for his own benefit, even in the face of the end of the world. I'd say he's the bigger cremling no matter what reason he has for being that way. jW

please check what nasa have to say about black holes " Even if a black hole the same mass as the sun were to take the place of the sun, Earth still would not fall in. The black hole would have the same gravity as the sun. Earth and the other planets would orbit the black hole as they orbit the sun now. " A black hole in a reasonable distance from earth would not suck everything. The trick is that a black hole with the same mass as the sun wouldn't be the same size as the sun. It'd be tiny, comparatively. Much smaller than the Earth, certainly, and probably smaller than a fruit (I don't know the math exactly). If a quarter-sized black hole was anywhere near the Earth, we'd be screwed. jW

What are you playing right now?

What a coincidence! That's how I play life! jW -
Welcome to the Shard! Others have answered most of these already, so I'll just add to this one. After the Catacendre, Sazed/Harmony made some changes. Koloss couldn't reproduce naturally before, and new koloss were only made by spiking normal humans. Now, they can "do the deed", as you so eloquently put it, with each other, and the resulting koloss-blooded babies are mostly human but with some koloss features as we saw. They can choose when they're older to take the spikes and become a full koloss as @WeiryWriter said. jW

Thanks, Yata, that WoB seems pretty explicit! That ties well into my theory on why the Stormfather is broken. I don't think he was bonded before, and to a Bondsmith, and I don't think he was broken in the Recreance. I think it was the splintering of Honor, and the merging of Tanavast's Cognitive Shadow with whatever he was previously, that broke his mind, basically giving him something like multiple personality disorder. I don't know what Soren Bondsmiths bonded before, but I'm of the opinion now that what Dalinar did was something entirely new. jW

Wait, do we know that? I was pretty sure it'd never been confirmed. I'm not accepting that as fact until it's in a book or Brandon states it directly. jW
-
@Dahak, thanks for calling attention to that distinction. It's pretty much become an assumption that Tanavast's Cognitive Shadow merged with the Stormfather, but I don't know that there was a WoB stating that, so it's very possible that we're all wrong about that, and that's a dangerous type of mistake we can easily make on a board like this. Does anyone know of a WoB that implies, states outright, or disproves the Cognitive Shadow idea? jW
