  1. Bort, I am sorry for not contributing as much - I've been thinking a fair bit about the game, and keeping track, but time has been a little sparse yesterday and this morning, and I haven't yet sorted through my thoughts so far. In terms of suspicion, I too am suspicious of Hellscythe, but have been struggling to decide whether my thoughts are overly tempered by dislike of his apparent attitudes - a vote on him at this stage will make little difference, and I shall think a little more before deciding if I do want to vote for him, or place a little more pressure on Venture. Aonar, I'm not all that sure whether Hanlon's razor actually applies in SE - we have to consider that some things may have been committed by the eliminators to be able to consider a full balance of evidence. This isn't to say that this particular case is down to malice, but we ought to at least consider the possibility
  2. I think we are ignoring a whole set of 'meta' knowledge here - primarily that Wyrm has indicated this to be without question the final cycle. I suspect then, that we simply cannot afford to get this lynch wrong. I am incredibly suspicious of Lopen, not least in the regards that he is framing this game as continuing past this cycle, although perhaps mostly on an intuitional level. Something seems wrong, and although right now I can't quite put a name to it, I shall try again before the end of the cycle.
  3. I've been trying to get some RP finished in time for this, but will edit it in shortly. What: Donate 20 wealth to the poor of Fadrex Where: Fadrex When: G5T4A1 Who: Lord Tekiel
  4. Yes, I am the surgebinder. Both the Wilson and Alvron messages were me. I remain intransigently suspicious of Phatt. His posts seem deliberately misleading this cycle; the certainty regarding number of eliminators in such a manner as to lead to put complacency, and frankly, I am still incredibly suspicious from the early game. Wilson was incredibly defensive of the Shallan lynch, and I remain convinced that Shallan was chosen for a particular reason, rather than randomly selected - and the reason to me that makes the most sense is to facilitate a greater ease of access to the game from Phatt.
  5. Might I ask that with the indication that we are closing on the end of the game, and you're certainty about Biggoron, we lynch Biggoron today, to give us some breathing space? I highly doubt that Wyrm will have put an indication as he did regarding the game drawing to a close unless we were running out of time - and if we are, then we do need to gamble on the kandra being loyal
  6. Lopen, whilst your plan does make a great deal of sense, it certainly worries me that Wyrm has put 'make preparations for planetfall' by the shift clock. I'm frankly no longer sure we can afford to spend a lynch on the Kandra... Hence, Phatt. Reading back through my conversations with Wilson, I got a feeling that she was trying very, very subtly to protect you.
  7. Is killing inactives really the right answer at this stage? Inactives are far less likely to be eliminators in my experience - and even if the are an eliminator are essentially useless to them - and if, as is likely, they are innocent, they provide us with another turn without the eliminators gaining numerical superiority over us.
  8. Ok, first: An apology. I have had a really, really busy, fairly awful week, and haven't been able to play either this or QF11 at all really. I would very much appreciate it if someone could send me a PM bringing me up to speed on what's happened since I last posted? I shall do my very best to be online for the rest of this game - my coursework draft is due on Monday, but I have time to complete it this weekend, and then a more relaxed time altering it to be the final draft for the next few weeks following this.
  9. Ok, it seems like I do now have time to get on and play properly - albeit in breaks between coursework. Meta, I've been staying alive in the hopes that I'd be able to recover my activity as the game progressed - there seems little point in letting myself die when I had the chance of, and indeed now can, return to playing 'properly'. I remain uncertain on Meta. As I've said to him, I have had a habit of distrusting players driving the thread as a matter of course since QF9 - so blame Wyrm if you like! That said, I'm now of the opinion that it is highly likely that Meta is, indeed a villager. His point about the thread dying, and going to such an effort to revive it holds a lot of water; certainly in my experience, as an eliminator we've focused a great deal on shutting down discussion in the thread - and although this could be a ruse to gain trust, given the alternative - losing 5 to inactivity this cycle alone, such an action seems entirely pointless. I'm about to read through all that has been said previously, but did Alvron ever justify his vote on Lopen?
  10. I'm just going to put out here for spectators, that if anyone does want to pinch hit, I'd be happy to yield to them - I haven't had the time I expected today, and knowing my luck, something will come up this weekend... I haven't had a good week, and I'm really sorry that it's had a knock on effect on SE...
  11. Cutting it really fine here. Sorry Wyrm... Action 3: What: Upgrading a bank Where: Fadrex When: G5T3A3 Who: Lord Tekiel Why: To maximise revenue from the building
  12. I would suggest that you deploy it to keep order in Luthadel - there is no use fighting a guerrilla force with a perimeter defence - the enemy are on both sides of your line in the ground - you are far better off either providing concentration of force in Luthadel to the point where organised violence is impossible due to weight of military presence, or establishing a rapid response force within the central dominance if you are indeed set on protecting it - providing local superiority in each skirmish through, again, concentration of force, rather than dispersion giving the enemy the ability to gain local advantages, even when outnumbered on a grand scale.
  13. I'm just checking in to say once again that I'm sorry for not being present, and that I can promise to be far, far more active this weekend. I'm not prepared to vote today, as any vote wouldn't be on grounds I could justify, but am not going to vote for no lynch, as I do believe we should have a lynch - I just haven't had time today to work out who I should vote for. Once again, I'm very sorry, and will endeavour to make up for it this weekend.
  14. I ought to apologise for my inactivity this far. I have had a large degree of work this week - both progressing in a job application process, but most taxingly with coursework. I didn't have time last cycle to set down my thoughts, but feel strongly about cycle 1 lynches - as indeed at this point. It was this belief that led me to place a vote on Creccio, for his opposition to the sole source of information held by the village in day one - not a particularly sound vote, I'll admit - but a vote nevertheless. I do agree with Clanky's criticism of Hellscythe - that he is advocating closing down discussion in the thread - and unless I can think of a better vote before the end of the cycle, or anyone can convince me otherwise, I shall be placing my vote on Hellscythe
