Here at ten facts for one of my works, The Osterix Chronicles. 1. The magic system in this world is based on Cards. While most people can use Cards, they are somewhat difficult to come by if you are not involved with the government. 2. The Cards are attached to your soul. Once they are bonded, they cannot be removed, if they are somehow removed, you die. 3. Most people can only have two or three Cards attached to their soul. While you can technically have four or five Cards attached, having too many will cause your body, mind, and spirit to deteriorate. 4. The first Card that you must Attach is called a Base Card, and which Base Card you use determines what Path you follow. If you wish to become a warrior, your Base Card should gift you something along the lines of increased balance, increased endurance, or becoming more proficient with weapons. The second and third Cards you Attach are normally much stronger than a Base Card. 5. The four most common paths people take are Warrior, Assassin, Scholar, and Overseer. 6. The Osterix is the Emperor of the city Voman. The Osterix is capable of wielding as many Cards as he wishes. He is the only one that can wield an infinite number of cards. 7. While noblemen can bribe the government to receive Cards, it is very expensive to do so, and many prefer not to due to the debilitating effects the Cards have. 8. Voman, the city that this story mostly takes place in, has a mixture of European and Middle Eastern Architecture. 9. While the government typically does a decent job of preventing the common people from getting Cards, the system they use isn't full- proof, so some have gotten out. 10. The Osterix is immortal. This was a lot of fun! I may do another list that describes more of the main characters, or more about the world itself.

Here is a decent trailer for it. It is seriously one of my favorite movies of all time, it's a shame not a whole lot of people know about it.

I'm assuming that this didn't happen again this week. Unless something comes up, this Saturday at 8 pm I will be watching Treasure Planet, one of the most underrated Disney movies of all time. I believe it is on Netflix. I'll be in the chat whether or not anyone else is. I'd love to have some of y'all join me!

If we did teams they would not have to be from the same book, but they should be similar to each other (Kelsier and Miles).

And Vin is the Champion on the Great Sanderson Tournament! Wow, this was a close one, I think the Championship Round received more votes than any other round, and Vin only won by two votes! It was a very, very close match, but in the end, Vin, The Ascendant Warrior, came forth triumphant. And that concludes The Great Sanderson Tournament. Seriously, I had a ton of fun doing this, and I hope that you all did as well. Previously in the tournament, some of y'all expressed interest in doing a team tournament. Are you guys still interested in that? And if we were to do that, any suggestions for improvements to make it a bit more interesting? I'd be totally willing to do this, but I would probably wait a bit before starting it. Anyway, thank you so much for participating in this, all of you! This would have been nowhere near as fun as it was without your participation. So what do you guys think of the results? Happy? Upset? Should we do a team tournament, and any improvements I could make? Let me know! Hope you enjoyed this!

Any talk of a movie this weekend?

I'm going to go with Vin. At the end of Stormlight Dalinar might be more powerful, but as it stands right now I think Vin (without a shard) would win in a fight.
-
And Kelsier takes the bronze medal! Only two remain. Vin, The Ascendant Warrior, trained by the Survivor himself. A woman who kills Gods. And Dalinar, The Blackthorn, a fearsome warrior whose skill is matched by none. Within a day, only one of these combatants will be declared champion. Both are powerful, both are deadly. Who will win the final match in the Great Sanderson Tournament?
-
I love Mistborn to death, it is my favorite series ever. That being said, it is admittedly far less meme-able than Stormlight Archive is.
-
And Dalinar wins by one vote! Now before we have the final match, we will have a round to determine who will get third place! The bronze match will be between Kelsier and Vasher.
-
I'm not entirely sure what it is, but it certainly looks very creepy. Looks like something that would come straight out of a nightmare. I think it's pretty cool.
-
And Vin will move on to the final round! Only one spot remains, with two fearsome warriors battling for the final spot. Who will win? Kelsier or the Blackthorn?

A friend is letting me borrow his copy of The Black Prism by Brent Weeks, and it's pretty alright so far. It's kinda confusing, although I suppose that's to be expected when you enter a new fantasy world. Not sure how I feel about Kip right now, be seems pretty cowardly, although since he is the protagonist I'm sure he will get over that. But the magic system seems pretty interesting, and I really like Gavin.

You are very funny, and you seem like a pretty nice guy as well. And your Riddler costume was really cool.

Nonsense! Here are a few of my favorite quotes I've heard while running cross country: "Spencer, there are no kayaks in Badminton." "Be sure to stretch after you run. If I come back and found out you haven't stretched, I'll kill you." (He wasn't serious. I think). "Coach Mark's calves are made of diamond." "I'm just waiting for Harry Potter to jump in and mess stuff up." (Had to substitute a few words). "It's looking like it might rain soon. If you see thunder, head back to the trailer." I'll probably add more as I think of them, these are just a few I thought of off the top of my head.

Is this still going on? I also want to vote for MrMistborn!
-
This is only a popularity contest if one chooses to make it so. If this was solely a popularity contest, than Lopen wouldn't have been the first one out, and Wayne wouldn't have lost to Dalinar. While there is no doubt that some people have been voting based on which character they like more (perfectly acceptable) there have also been several people who vote on who they think would win in a fight (also perfectly acceptable). This is not ONLY a popularity contest.

And Dalinar pulls off the victory, barely defeating Wayne! Only four remain. Vin, the Ascendant Warrior. Vasher, Warbreaker the Peaceful. Kelsier, the Survivor of Hathsin. And Dalinar, The Blackthorn. Which two among these will move on to the final round? The first match that will decide who goes onto the next round is Vin vs. Vasher! Once again, I am very sorry that I was unable to update this yesterday, I had some family stuff going on.

Went to a cross country Halloween party as V from V for Vendetta. Some other notable costumes there were a rubix cube, the red and blue power rangers, and Medusa. My favorite was my friend Jack, who wore a box. He was a Jack in the Box.
-
And Kelsier has defeated his older sibling Marsh! And in the final match of round three, Dalinar takes on Wayne! Sorry for the late update. Unfortunately, I might be even later tomorrow. Something has come up, so I might not be able to update this. I'll try, but no promises.

Sports rivalries run deep. Probably shouldn't be fueling your procrastinating, but I've got a kinda funny rivalry story. Let me first say this: I think high school rivalries are dumb. However, sometimes they can be a bit enjoyable. This was a while ago, but my school's football team was playing our rival, and the game was at our rivals home field. I don't know how in the world these guys pulled it off, a few guys from my school snuck onto the field before the game and planted a PALM TREE in the middle of the field. It was one of the strangest things I have ever seen in my life.

Right? I stayed up until nearly 4 in the morning writing an essay on the morality of dropping the atomic bombs on Japan. A fascinating topic to discuss, until you have to do it for hours on end, eyes becoming blurred after staring at a computer monitor for so long.
