And Ironeyes has defeated Kaladin! Up next is Kelsier, the Survivor of Hathsin, against Raoden, Prince of Elantris (I think). Who will emerge triumphant?

I, like many others on here, am a HUGE Marvel fan. I've seen all of the movies, and while getting my hands on comics is kinda tough, I read what I can (Not entirely caught up on Agents of Shield, I'll need to change that). I also loved the Daredevil show on Netflix. For those of you who don't know, Marvel will be producing a few more TV shows on Netflix. Along with Daredevil Season 2, there will also be a show for Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. Jessica Jones will arrive November 20th, and a new trailer was recently released. And it looks WAY more disturbing than I had thought it would be. Seriously, Daredevil was pretty dark and gritty, but man, Jessica Jones looks like it will put Daredevil to shame. Just watch it for yourselves, but like I said, it's pretty brutal. Regardless, I'm still incredibly hyped. I loved Daredevil, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they do in the future. Anyone else excited for Jessica Jones? Edit: Also, 100th post. Yay.

I clicked this thread full of random stuff out of curiosity. The thread certainly lives up to its name.

Anybody want to get on? Edit: Nevermind, I have to go somewhere. I'll probably be on later though.

And Vasher is the winner! Up next is another really good fight; Kaladin vs. Marsh!
-
And the winner is Obliteration! I'm a bit reluctant to start a team-up now that we are so far into the tournament, but we could for sure do a team tournament after this one! Anyways, the next match is Vasher vs. Sylphrena!

One of my dreams actually inspired a story that I'm currently writing. In this world, people gain magical powers through the use of different types of cards. Different types of cards do different things, but if you have to many attached to you, your body starts to degenerate, and become gruesome and abnormal. Several people have cards that assist them in whatever roles they are serving, such as warriors, assassins, scientists, and leaders. One character, Kearn, has a card that grants him manipulation of shadows, allowing him to sneak around more efficiently. Once a card becomes "attached" to you, you cannot remove it, so you have to chose what cards you use carefully. Most people can only have two or three. It was really cool, and although I've just started it, I've really enjoyed writing about it so far.

I've seen several people wanting to have different opponents team up. While I do think that this one should stay as a one on one, would anyone be interested in doing a team tournament after this one?

Gengar looks terrifying as always, and the pixels make it look really cool 9/10

There were three votes while I was gone, and it appears that Vin pulled of the win by one vote! This was probably the most even fight we've had yet! Up next is another good match, Obliteration vs. Nightblood!

So we have yet another tie! I've got somewhere to be for the next few hours, so I won't be able to PM anyone and ask them to break the tie. I'll do that as soon as I get back!

Official Star Wars Episode VII Discussion Thread (TM)
Patar replied to Seonid's topic in Entertainment Discussion
It got me excited, but I'm trying to keep my expectations low, so that way if it is as amazing are many are expecting it will be, I'll be even more blown away. That being said, it is looking a hell of a lot better than the one that will not be named, but it would be pretty hard to make a Star Wars movie worse than that one, right? Right? -
You've got me there, but I need a little clarification of how stormlight works, it has been a while since I've read Stormlight Archive. Mistborn carry several vials that allow them to replenish their metals, can stormlight do something similar? I know stormlight eventually runs out, but how long does it last compared to metals?
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but won't Szeth's stormlight eventually run out? And if it does, would he not die as easily as any other man? And atium isn't the only thing that allows Vin to avoid attacks. She also has Iron and Steel, and duralumin for when she gets desperate. I think a duralumin-enhanced coin to the head would kill Szeth fast enough to where he wouldn't have time to heal.
-
I agree with you on the Shards, but we learned that it is possible to combat atium without using atium or electrum. Vin did this against Zane in WoA. Granted, she was extremely lucky, and one would need to know that she was burning atium in order to combat it. I'm still going to vote for Vin, but I will say that if anyone could beat her while she is using atium, it is Szeth. It would still be very close, however.
-
Looking at the bracket, I just realized that it is entirely possible for us to have a Vasher vs. Nightblood round. Anyways, I'm voting for Vin. I have a feeling that Szeth is going to get more powerful, but seeing as we don't know what his relationship with Nightblood will be, and the fact that Nightblood is another contestant on this list, I just have to vote for Vin. And, as stated above, Atium OP.
-
Not going to be able to get on today, unfortunately. I've got my Government midterm today, and my World History midterm tomorrow. I've got some mad studying to do.
-
And Hoid dominates Human, receiving the most votes yet! Up next, Vin and Szeth, two of the most powerful assassins around, will go head to head! Who will emerge victorious?
-
And the winner is Grandpa Smedry! This concludes the first set of matches, and marks the start of round two. In the first match of round two, Human the Koloss will take on Hoid!
-
Once again, I am sorry for the late update. The winner of this match is Wayne. In the final match of the first stage, Grandpa Smedry will fight Lightsong!
-
Might as well give into peer pressure and post a picture. Here is me enjoying some delicious oysters. Don't even try to come after me serial killers.

A friend actually recommended it to me. He told me the general summary of what the book was about, and it sounded interesting. Later that day, I went to a book store to pick up a book I needed for a class that I was taking. As I was walking around looking for it, I saw Mistborn on the shelf, and decided to get it. I'm really glad my friend told me about it. If he hadn't, I would have unknowingly passed by a gem.

Curses! You've figured me out!

No need to tally this one, Spook cleared house. Up next, a match I'm sure many of you have been waiting for, Wayne vs. Shai!
