  1. As many of you may have noticed, there is a thread for the upcoming SW VII (so excited, by the way), but how about the books, and all the games and comics? This thread is basically just to allow for sharing of SW awesomeness without being restricted to SW VII. So I'll start: Who here has ever heard of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic? I must say, it is quite possibly the best $5 I have ever spent. It has given me over a hundred hours of enjoyment, and is like a playable novel. EDIT: For Seonid, this thread is not meant to step on your toes at all, I just wanteveryone to be able to appreciate the full spectrum of Star Wars. Peace is a lie, there is only Passion, Through Passion I gain Strength, Through Strength I gain Power, Through Power I gain Victory, Through Victory, my chains are broken. The force shall bring me, A full Irish Breakfast, Complete with both White and Black Pudding.
  2. Nice. How about reading everything Star Wars? The canon, that is. The post VI is just too confusing for me.
  3. Yeah unfortunately. I've got a phone, but honestly, nobody's crotch is that interesting as to stare at it for 15 minutes straight.
  4. I just found this game earlier today (before I saw this post). We must troll the servers with Kelsiers!!!! Kaladins!!! ADONALSIUMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay, some rules: If you see anyone on agario with an obviously sanderfan username, you leave them alone. Okay that's only 1 rule, fine. EDIT: How do you play agario if it's blocked on school wifi? Biology is too boring (and yes, I see the irony).
  5. Mamma Mia, ABBA
  6. Technically, Kell only had 2 years, but that does not change the nature of your argument. Kell's specialty was Iron and Steel, and honestly, Poor Elend, though strong, would need to have Vin-level allomantic instincts to defeat him. (Which he doesn't, they're called vin-level for a reason)
  7. Wouldn't you go crazy as soon as you tried to use your powers? Use them for only the most evil reasons (Like pairing Taleggio with a full bodied red)?
  8. Actually a pretty good song. Y'know, if you don't speak English.
  9. Huh?
  10. Well he was just in a highstorm, right? Maybe the stormlight in his spheres went to repairing his soul, even as he was healing from his many wounds.
  11. Yeah I got mine a couple days after that post, thanks though. I'm already almost finished.
  12. I don't see why Saze is in here. I think it's a given that wax is gonna have a deep "why you do this" with him sometime.
  13. Wow. I never even thought of that. This is a beautifully presented and well thought of theory. It definitely has merit. One question, though, is how did the name Rust enter the vernacular as a curse? More evidence of this is the inability of Sazed to sense where Paalm is. Maybe this is because the "Mystery Spike" is so similar to Ruin that Sazed cannot sense it, like some strange sort of cancelling out of power? Maybe I'm crazy. This looks cool, though. I'd ask Brandon about it if I could, though he'd probably just RAFO.
  14. It could also be some Instinctive Allomantic Thingawhatchamacallit that lets them push the coin in such a way that it does stay up in the air, maybe by pushing more on the bottom of the coin than the top, or vice versa. I don't know how this would work, but I think it's possible. After all, remember how Kelsier windmilled metal bars just before his death to protect the skaa from arrows. Also, only one of them would need to have the Instinctive Allomantic Thingawatchamacallit needed to push the coin in such a way as to keep it up. Also, another possibility is that the two forces of their pushes made the coin slightly concave on both sides. After all, the coin was flattened. This would, I believe, give them purchase to keep it up.
  15. For in-world, both can be used, though as Kaymyth said, no one knows that Hemalurgy exists. For forum use, there is no set standard, but as we get further into Mistborn, and as Hemalurgy starts to emerge, a naming standard will evolve, whatever is most convenient for people to use.
  16. Oh Merciful Domi that will make life so much easier. And in answer to Stormgate, the Keepers were just an order that all Feruchemists belonged to, and back then, all Feruchemists were Full Feruchemists. It makes sense that the term "Keeper" would have evolved into full feruchemist. EDIT: Gosh, CognitivePulsePattern getting the jump on me by 30 seconds.
  17. As I always understood it, only a Fullborn is impossible. You can still have a Mistborn-Ferring or a FullFeruchemist-Misting, But those combinations are so exceedingly rare as to be almost irrelevant. A Mistborn or full Feruchemist is still possible, just fairly rare. I really hope that Grandma V is a full feruchemist, that would be so cool. Where is the WoB that Spook's Mistborn status was "as weak...as could exist"?
  18. Kalad's Phantoms! Lord Ruler! Merciful Domi! Apples! What?
  19. Maybe Jojen for Hoid, when (if) he matures.
  20. My first Cosmere was Mistborn TFE, I think it's still my favourite. SA is pretty awesome too, probably has the best characters but TFE has always just been so satisfying to read. What can I say, I love archetypes. My first Sanderson was Steelheart, found while shelfbrowsing at the local bookstore, but that was before I knew Sanderson existed (In the way that many authors are just names on the cover, I had never heard of him). I started TFE about a year ago and since, have read each big cosmere novel at least twice. I remember distinctly looking up something I saw in Mistborn I didn't understand, making my way onto the Coppermind, and my subsequent discovery that the world of Mistborn was in fact the universe of the Cosmere and that (gasp) there were more of these.
  21. I always thought of it as the intents being like forces of nature, not good or evil but simply existing.
  22. When you feel you have to do your part to fill up another board on why you're a Sanderfan
  23. So I don't think that this question counts as discussing White Sand, as he has asked us not to do, but I emailed Brandon to ask for a copy of the book. How long did it take you to get a reply?
  24. I'll take your word on it. Crazy episode tonight. I think that the "afterlife" of the Cosmere is straying into God Beyond territory. Which honestly just confuses me. I think that's just Sanderson's way of speaking about himself in the third person. Wouldn't put it past him.
  25. I have no words. Well, technically, this response counts as "words," but...What?
