Please don't confuse me with the facts. I suppose you're right. Though if you said it like sazzeeum it might work.

Why not sazium? That fits. Sort of. And it sounds good. Harmonium sounds a bit too much like harmonica for me. I swear, every single time...

theory Thoughts about Enhancement metals
Plaeggs replied to Eagle of the Forest Path's topic in Mistborn
And if I understand your point correctly, you can think of each metal as its own separate tube. The enhancement metals affect all of the tubes that an allomancer possesses. Going back to the first analogy, a mistborn has more connection due to its more tubes. On a side note, on the workings of the pushing enhancement metals (Duralumin and Nicrosil). For clarification, correct me if I'm wrong, if you think of allomancy as a soundboard with a bunch of sliders, the different sliders representing different metals and how hard you are burning them, with the highest possible flaring being the highest point the slider can go, then duralumin can be said to do 2 different things: first of all, it connects all of the metals so that they all burn at the same speed. It also raises the cap on how hard you can burn metals and slides all of your metals up at once such that they all burn so quickly that they appear to disappear in an instant, or very close to that. I am seeing a couple holes in my analogy but I think that the general idea is clear. -
Though of course, it may be in this case that we only hear of the success stories.

There should be a song about this: Lashing through the air, On a _____ of _____ _____ Something something here, I can't write freaking songs! To the tune of Jingle bells Feel free to improve this, I think it is clear that music is not my calling

Two edgedancers? Are you speaking of Ym? I was going on the assumption that he was a truthwatcher, not an edgedancer, unless I missed a part where he uses abrasion.
-
9 pages? No way I have time to read this. I think (from the first page's theories) that him becoming a dustbringer is very likely. There was a thread I saw a while back that suggested that Dalinar's gift from the nightwatcher might have been something to do with all of the members of his family becoming Radiants. Anyhoo, I believe that dustbringer is much more likely than edgedancer due to the fact that we already have an edgedancer, Lift, and so far no dustbringer. Adolin matches the "typical" dustbringer and though it may be a coincidence, we have yet to see two of the same type of nahel bond. It is true that there are so far very few surgebinders in the series, so any evidence could just amount to circumstance.

"Spren" is the plural form as well as the singular. Just sayin'. Cool theory. Anyways, we still have 8 more book to find out what they are. As long as he doesn't die or something before finishing them *cough* GRRM. That would royally suck.

could there be another big "god"? anti-adonalsium
Plaeggs replied to Kaze the white eye's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I always thought that there was a type of spren for each Roshar shard, Honour, Cultivation, and Odium, with the voidspren being Odium's version. Sorry I can't go more in-depth on my thoughts, just really tired -
True. Reading the Shadows of Self prologue again, he again refers to himself as Waxillium, meaning that this was definitely intentional. And about the HoA epigraph, I did nto notice that. I will have to re-read that.

Copper is definitely cheaper, against the huge loss of losing an aluminum hat. That said, the hat is more foolproof as long as it is kept safe from switching or theft.
-
Maybe. Not to be overly cynical, but that could have just been a change of mood for Brandon. He just didn't feel like writing out the entire name so he shortened it. It could also have been changed by the editors. Your theory is good, but it seems to me like there could be a simpler answer.

This situation seems quite similar to what might have happened if AoL was the 4th book in Era 2 Mistborn rather than the first. For those of you that have not read Mistborn, first of all I recommend that you immediately leave the job or school you are already neglecting, go to your nearest bookstore, and order a copy of The Final Empire. It's worth it. Second of all, AoL was a short story turned novel, and it shows. It is of course a great read, as are all the Sandersonian novels, but it is a very singular story line, lacking some of the story depth present in other Cosmere books. I'm sorry this is turning into a book report, I'll get back on track. Anyways, the difference is that AoL had to be expanded in order to introduce Era 2 Mistborn, while TES is simply a stand-alone novella.

So I don't really have much time, and I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, but is Nightblood the spren that bonded with szeth to make him a Skybreaker? Because Nightblood doesn't really seem the highspren type. I mean, "destroy evil" doesn't really sound like you'll be following the cold hard law most of the time. Just tell me what the deal is here.

Just look at the GRRM ASOIAF, how the Stark-Lannister conflict mirrors the Lancaster-York conflict in the war of the roses.

Kelsier is the OG badass, the rebel. He's just, simply put, more awesome than Elend.

So I didn't read the entire shamoozle, but i think that an object moving through a bubble has its velocity "refracted" such that it would be possible to calculate where an object (a bullet, perhaps?) will go. Now, of course this entire theory would be absolutely and irrevocably debunked if indeed there is WoB about the randomness of objects moving through bubbles. Now I have another idea, stemming from my previous one: depending on the exact limitations of a zinc ferring, or a sparker, (which at this point in time I do not care to debate) one could possibly predict this change in velocity. Anyways, feedback is appreciated.

I thought that inquisitors, due to their heavy bodily modifications, naturally lived 100 years. I seem to remember something in the 1st book about this, when the inquisitors are first being introduced. I also remember a part saying something along the lines of how TLR made 3 new species, Koloss, Kandra and Inquisitors, implying that Inquisitors are an entirely different species. It was during a part talking of his hemalurgic experiments, and that in the 1000 years of his rule, he had only managed to create 3 species.

Thank you for this. Bad S&G just makes me mad.

I would say that though he could theoretically forego eating, what would be the point? After all, in AoL era, Bendalloy is fairly scarce. Other than that thought, though, he could compound zinc to become superintelligent. He could also win at slots. EVERY time.

Interesting theory. Before I comment more, how would one "download" the ID of another?
-
In that case, I apologize. It seems that I am indeed mistaken. I had not even considered that there were humans at the shattering.

It can be said though, that the shards are Adonalsium, and vice versa. Also, though I have not read all of the cosmere, humans seem to be the dominant species in all the shardworlds, or at least the object of the story. As natc said, they are the most notable race.
