  1. Where is Nazh from? Which Shardworld? Which book is he introduced in? Where is he referenced?
  2. I also feel like Brandon is doing that thing where the Characters of the books have everything wrong, and there's going to be some grand Cosmeric revelation that upturns everything we know and makes the Ars Arcanum's all invalid.
  3. Is this some special effect, or just a nifty combination, like the crasher combination, or the Feruchemical gold-Allomantic bendalloy combo that Wayne has, where he can bubble and heal?
  4. For crying out loud, it's STERIS! 1 "r", not 2! Gosh! I was in love from the marriage contract bit.
  5. I...have never heard this one before. Her metalmind would have to be pretty full, though, unless she is the real reason that her family is so well off and she has a gambling thing.
  6. the young terriswoman better not be a muggle. I want her to be some super-awesome brute that fights crime on the side. 1980s is prime batman time, right? Like a vigilante justice mojo. That'd be SO COOL.
  7. Well I mean, they coulda been Demoux's crowd brought back from the dead...y'know, all'o'the original survivorist nuts. Saze just plops them up in the Seran mountain range, and tells them, "Kell is comin' back and he's gonna look kinda freaky with a spikey through his eye but don't freak, k? Just do what he says and build a giant temple to his awesome survivoryness that's really just a decoy and does nothing but disguise everyone from the real pie, a giant freakin' spearhead on the giant statue to his awesome survivoryness, which by the way you also have to build. And you don't get pensions. After all, you're going to freeze to death when you're finished building the temple, so what's the point, right? Oh, did I forget to mention the dying in the resurrection contract? Oh well!" Whaddaya think guys, should I do fanfics?
  8. I believe that atium has been referred to several times in-text as the lost metal. I don't have a specific WoB, but I remember it being in SoS. Wax was at a party I think?
  9. You can burn ettmetal. But only once.
  10. In order for the Final Empire to be less smoking hot, Scadrial was pulled back/shifted, which made the Final Empire all nice and livable, the southern pole was also cooled, changing from pretty toasty without the Ashmounts, to frozen, like our poles. I don't think that they live on the absolute pole, but close enough that the got some Icy death served to them when Saze decided to return Scadrial to its originale position.
  11. My gosh. That's so metal. (to use the vernacular)
  12. Keep in mind that IIRC, jasnah used transportation for the first time when the ship sank, the manifestation of powers may be related to snapping. Even though Ym had already manifested regrowth, using powers instinctively is not so much of a stretch for a system of magic of which Brandon has only scratched the surface. We should keep in mind that a reappearance of Ym is not impossible. On that note, if Ym did reappear, I believe that he would have changed significantly, i.e. from the kindly old man to an anti-Nale Freedom fighter. Big if though. It would be difficult to reintroduce Ym without it being tacky, but with all we have seen Brandon do, it is not out of the imagination.
  13. We only ever see one small part of it. Nickelback is like Screen Snake
  14. Maybe bonding with a deathspren is what causes death. Or something similar. Like the deathspren is consumed in a glorious blaze of death and goes to deathspren heaven for causing a death.
  15. Well, the shardholders would have created their names for themselves, right? And a personality (or whatever Adonalsium is, I'm just trying to speculate her) is not so easily divided into 16 parts, so Odium could just be the part of Adonalsium that induces hate against others, not just the pure intent hate. Did I just blaspheme a little too hard? Anyways, that seems a little too murky for Brandon, I'm probably misunderstanding it.
  16. Veni Vidi Vici. Or he could. Oh god, I've mucked this up, haven't I? Wax is like a Rubber Eraser
  17. If any have ever read the oathbreaker series, then I believe that there will be a similar mother dying-crazy father-confronting son scene at the end. Not exactly the same situation, obviously, but a similar event. Kaladin's parents are surely not gone yet, they had too much life sunk into them to just be dropped.
  18. disgusting from a distance, but when it gets down to it, very fertile? Life is like a box of chocolates EDIT: Look down. Hoidhunter's post is better. He can set the simile.
  19. Not a theory, more a postulation. It's pretty late. Has this been thought of before? What would happen?
  20. The freaking real armour. Foreshadowed throughout the entire book, but that scene just turned Hrathen into a total badass. In my own humble opinion. I forget most of the last part, but that just stuck in my mind.
  21. My record with history teachers has been kinda shifty. Grade 8 was fine. My teacher, he was the best. Super cool, everyone loved him. An amazing guy, and straight with you too. Even made up a game called embarrassment and humiliation, like an elimination trivia where you are shamed if you get a wrong answer. Downhill from there, though. Grade 9, my teacher spent 6 months on the French revolution. It was awful. We watched a bugs life to demonstrate the industrial revolution, then skipped the last 20 minutes, but included all of the hero's dilemma fluff in the middle. During that year, we skipped half of the curriculum, including the war of 1812. Thus my lack of information. My current socials teacher, who I have had for a couple of years now, is make no mistake, while abrasive at times, an amazing teacher. She prepares you for stuff like no one else. Super in-depth classes, and very knowledgeable, just very hard to talk to when she sets her mind to it. You though, deserve a gluten free, non-GMO, vegan, low fat, vaccine free, politically correct cookie (or whatever's trendy these days) for that lesson. Non-hemalurgic too. Or just have a full Irish Breakfast. Those are good too. Mmm. I'm hungry now. There's some cold bacon in the fridge. I'm gonna go make a sandwich.
  22. That is entirely correct (according to wikipedia). Both the history lesson and the statement about non-US schools. We have learned almost nothing about it. Thus the Kappa. It seems that your buddy had the same education as my British socials teacher. She's pretty abrasive, too, so attempting to ask her to further explain the whole "Britain was never defeated" deal, what with the American Civil War and all, is invariably met with a backlash not worth the value of the information. I was just poking the bear, in a sense, with that comment straight from Mrs. G's lips. Anyways, thank you for setting me straight, I applaud your patriotism, though with your attitude, you would do well as a Canadian. I stand by my comment about the sides of the road, though.
  23. I think that there's a lawsuit in this if someone wants to pursue it. Something about emotional scarring, and throw in a bit of over-dramatization, and you got yourself a couple thou nice and easy. Hmmm...
  24. Well, concerning this, the spikes and general presentation of the inquisitors would likely obscure/destroy all visible difference between the sexes.
  25. How so? I don't think that the Inquisitors were recruited solely from the obligators, anyone could be chosen. It was just easier for them to get obligators because they were open with their powers (within the Steel Ministry).
