  1. Or conscripted as? Perhaps they moved there, and it all became associated with the Orders, but it was built before? Or, in a different form, before the Radiants "took over"? OR, maybe built from the wreckage of the original city? Ooh, ooh, OR! Or, it was constructed for Surgebinders, before they became actual Knights via the Oaths.
  2. Wouldn't say his Oaths off-screen due to importance? Shallan, Jasnah, Lift. All flashback characters, two of which whom we might see later, I'll grant. Renarin. I guess my block is the idea that Maya's original wielder needs to be involved in any attempt at bringing her back. Perhaps, that's not the case? Adolin DID listen to TWoK with his father before, he may have said Oath One after hearing it then, but he doesn't seem that broken. Perhaps that will come when he discovers the truth about how his mother died...
  3. You're probably right. Maya is gaining back some tiny bit of her sentience, presumably via Adolin. We've had oaths occur off screen before, any reason to believe Adolin has not said the first oath? How in the world is Maya able to think at all? Perhaps they've only gotten as far as Pre-1stOath, much like when we first meet Sylphrena? I really want Adolin to re-awaken his Blade, bring Maya back to life, and have this event reinvigor the Spren to bond. Or begin giving specific Blades to specific Squires, who haven't bonded a Spren.
  4. I am leaning towards something involving not taking away the free will of others. They are allowed to make their own sacrifices?
  5. Hmmm. So, Nin isn't sure if he's the only Herald to also bond a Spren. What if Maya's Radiant is a Herald?
  6. I believe that's just where Glys likes to hide. Visual descriptions, after all, is how Jasnah confirmed the difference. When Glys forms into a Shardblade, he is most definitely not within Renarin's heart.
  7. Not to sidetrack, but between Renarin and Venli, are we getting some foreshadowing for the idea that Honor and Odium aren't entirely incompatible?
  8. Was it the Rock scene where he comments in his head about Renarin's uniform always looking a little better than everyone else's? Could be just him, and being fastidious, but it could also be unconscious Lightweaving.
  9. We see that the Spren cross over in a leap of faith, with no guarantee of finding someone to Bond with. Once they've jumped, they're there, and the only way forward is a Bond. So, when Eshonai died, that Spren needed to go somewhere. Elhokar's Pattern needed to go somewhere. We see Hoid's pov when he gets that Spren from the castle. He's thinking of his disguises as his art. Every single time we've seen him, he's blending lies and truths. Even the disguise he used to get to the castle had an element of truth, with the missing tooth. He transforms people around him into someone else, by giving them a precise lie, or a story, with true emotions, and truths of morality questioned by the listeners. Him getting a Cryptic makes sense. What does Venli embody, that drew this Spren from under Eshonai's armor? That could help us to understand which Order this Spren is from. Unrelated, sorta. When showing off the Half-Shard shield, does Taravangian claim that the Spren that powers it is a Radiant-Spren?
  10. From what we know, Jasnah may have used one perpendicularity, entered the Physical, got some Stormlight, and then ported to where Hoid is? Perhaps the amount she got only got her so far?
  11. Perhaps because of being half listener, she manifested powers early, and Surged her dad into a Human, who bonded a bad spren in a storm? Doesnt explain that her brothers are older... nah, not it. Oh well.
  12. True, true! I'd forgotten that while WoR was edited, the original version is still Cosmere canon as far as Realmatics. Ignore me!
  13. @SLNC Book not with me. While I knew that, I thought Gawx had a regular knife to his throat? When do we see the Regrowth from a Radiant heal a Shardblade cut?
  14. @SLNC "Yes, Regrowth can heal a soul and regrow the connection between a soul and it's body. " I apologize, but do we know this for sure? Gawk's Spirit truly detached? Brain death takes a while. If true... MASSIVE argument for Fabrials only mimic Surges. We still have not seen but half the types of Radiants, and bare glimpses at Full Radiants. Sorry for terrible formatting.
  15. I actually think that if Adolin fit the bill for an Edgedancer Spren, and if he begins awakening his Blade, a new Spren probably wouldn't be likely to forget the old Spren Siren and begin Bonding Adolin.
  16. New sibling, perhaps, but not someone capable of surgery, not yet. Relative of Hesina's? I still think she's half-lighteyes.
  17. I chose nose bleed instead of... something else.
  18. #3 is non-violent. Nosebleeds don't break the rules.
  19. The only way I see this being possible is if the Time Dilation extends into the Cognitive.
  20. I think of Harmony as Wax's explanation on the train in BoM about his law keeping. Harmony obeys his intent by trying to give each individual person an equal amount of Liberty in their choices, without those choices interfering in the Liberties of others.
  21. A Willpower Shard? It's so tough to try to guess, I never would have guessed Endowment if we didn't already know. Same with Cultivation in my opinion. It's tough to guess negative things that balance the ones we do know of, and result in a just god-like being. Power? Foresight? Ruthlessness? I just don't know, and I've felt something off with every guess I've seen. I'm tempted to just hand myself an auto-RAFO and then just wait and see.
  22. I don't know! Maybe that is what happened! There's any number of things that could be, so we're stuck waiting. But, in the mean time... could Odium turn a splinter of Honor completely? Or would the intents merge?
  23. Just a pet theory, but it explains a lot. I think of the Dawnshards as the Radiant-Level spren, and a Dawnsinger as a Listener bonded to a Dawnshard. But then I wonder what happened to them. Were these Dawnshards here pre-Honor? If not, how did they come to be? Were they something else before Honor Invested, then changed as a result? Perhaps they were the Dawnshards pre-Honor, and the Honorblades post? No one knows and is telling. I'm so excited for Oathbringer!
  24. My pet theory is that the Dawnsingers were Listeners bonded with Radiant-level spren, and they had the power to carve out cities like that with sound, but in a bond that doesn't offer sentience to the spren.
  25. I think the Ardent in charge of the Soulcasters that Adolin visits in WoR is a kandra. It's the perfect person to imitate for the sake of learning of other uses for Investiture, and Adolin specifically mentions that his behavior is somewhat odd. I'd need someone else to find it for me, the Lady has it with her roughly a planet away.
