  1. yeah, usually it is that the plot goes "oh, that person is the murderer" and then it is really someone who "nobody would ever guess," but I can usually get it on the first try.
  2. Then we shall call it the Brussels-sprouts standard instead! And my problem with a lot of modern authors is that many are way too predictable. I can guess what will happen with almost any book that I read... except Sanderson. Although my mom is really good at guessing what will happen, like she is almost a psychic or something!
  3. When you want to go to every Sanderson book signing possible, just so you can get signatures! And ask a whole bunch of questions just for fun... Also when your friend gets to read all the books early and you are almost literally green with envy.
  4. Let's just hope the spike didn't go through his heart...
  5. I never really got into doctor who. My reaction after the first episode I watched was like this: All of it is over my head.
  6. Just as long as you don't start with a book in the middle of a series, you will probably be fine. I guess whatever works for length or interest, so if you don't already know, ask what genres your friend likes.
  7. It might actually count, now that I think of it. Except if you don't count living things in the "inanimate objects" category. And, if I remember correctly, the Jasnah thing on the site says "takes place after Words of Radiance," but really it happens during chapter 7-ish.
  8. You know you are a Sanderfan when you go to a different country that doesn't speak English and decide to get a copy of WoR in that language. I really want to do that, by the way!
  9. This conversation is giving me chills, and not the good kind, either. And if Brandon really does leave the Cosmere to rot, I will tell my friend to tell her dad (who is Brandon's dentist) to get his mind back to where it really was.
  10. True. It took me a long time to figure that out. The effects of school have been too much. But yeah, that would be really cool.
  11. I just capitalize most of my nouns, just in case.
  12. When you realize that on a "what if" paper that asked what would happen if school didn't exist, you put "then education will go to the Voidbringers." Only thing I could think of on that paper, and even other people who have READ that had no idea. Shame.
  13. The thing I don't understand about yearbook day at my school is that the ninth graders have a different day (well, hour) than the seventh and eighth graders, so I don't get to sign any yearbooks that belong to my younger friends.
  14. I just realized that I can name most of the characters that we know of in the Cosmere... and spoiler tags... write [ spoiler ] but without space, then write what you want, then [ /spoiler ]. Also without space.
  15. You are not stupid. Trust me. You know you're a Sanderfan when you go through crowds and feel self-conscious because your safehand is uncovered, and you don't have any metals, and you realize that you have no glyphwards just in case something bad happens. Or a Shardblade.
  16. so... is the flute "magical," or is that just Hoid using his investiture? I don't think that was ever clarified to me.
  17. GAH! I have met him twice, and I didn't notice! I am ashamed.
  18. When you dream that you are Shallan and are stuck with a grumpy Kaladin in a highstorm... yeesh.
  19. I agree that nothing can quite compare to Sanderson books. They are too awesome. Great standard system, by the way!
  20. um, Allomancy, just so you know, you should not double post. If you need to, you can edit using the edit button.
  21. Gah! Accidentally double posted, sorry. I don't really know how to fix that, either.
  22. I agree. Although I am so bad at drawing that I make fun of myself every time I try...
  23. You know you are a Sanderfan when your sister (the Leky Stick, thanks for that, Xaladin!) suddenly decides to read the Mistborn books and go on the 17th Shard merely because you have made such a big deal about reading the books.
  24. I think my worst problem with people is that I am too quiet. In school and at home, I get walked over because it is almost physically impossible for me to speak up and express my opinion. One reason why I hate group projects with a passion.
  25. @Emerald101, I think the whole love/hate relationship with Shallan was to get him over his hatred of lighteyes. To an extent.
