  1. Or when there is a breach in the hull... Easy leakage.
  2. well, I sometimes think I have heart problems or something else along those lines, because I cannot exercise for long before I can no longer breathe, my heart is hammering in my throat and it makes everything hurt. Just saying. And I found out recently that someone in my neighborhood has stage 4 cancer somewhere in her body that cannot be easily fixed with chemotherapy. She has several children, all under the age of eight, and one baby.
  3. It is really sad what people do to children they don't feel they want anymore. EDIT: Ha ha, Kobold, I should have seen that coming.
  4. I actually was fooled by this a few years ago, but now that I know more about it, it is hilarious. And it is all true, too!
  5. That is one of my many excuses for not being a drug addict. You know you are a Sanderfan when you almost swear (because swearing is bad, don't do it) that you see Tyn somewhere up the canyon, and then the same week you are bummed because you find that all the frequent, about-thrice-daily storms are coming from the south, as far as anyone can tell. Also, when you find out that the Way of Kings does NOT use the metric system, which is now bugging me really badly. Like, really badly, read the Geranid chapter in part 3 interludes. I mean, the entire Vorin system is based on the number 10, isn't it?!
  6. Trying really hard not to touch the link now...
  7. I noticed in the WoK, in the scene where the Chasmfiend gets up on the wrong plateau, that Sadeas had a longbow that were nicknamed "shardbows." Definitely not actual Shard-anything, but only a Shardbearer could wield it. So, hypothetically, if an archer became a Surgebinder and spoke the Oaths, couldn't there be actual Shardbows? The Shardblades change forms to fit the needs of the bearer, but I'm not entirely sure. Feel free to post your thoughts below.
  8. Oh dear, I don't remember if I stated this earlier, but I am a Sanderfan because I avoid strawberry jam like the plague... that one chapter in Way of Kings totally ruined it for me.
  9. I don't typically go to museums because my anxiety is so bad, and I am afraid of crowds and large spaces, which doesn't help in the least. Also, tonight I had to go home early from a nearby cul-de-sac (however you spell it) because there were going to be fireworks, and fireworks just set me too much on edge, and that eventually causes me to have a severe panic attack. Not cool in the least.
  10. Wow... after all this ranting, my thing sounds rather petty. So. On Saturday, I went out in the heat of day to pick boysenberries, which was not a good idea in the least. Got very sweaty, lots of bugs everywhere, and then there is something crawling on my face. Next thing I know, there is a spider dangling from my hair. LOVELY day. And today, I was picking some again, and it turns out that a whole bunch of bugs were taking over the world in the berry patch, so only about half the ripe ones were edible. Thanks a lot, bugs! Also, I am really frustrated because these emoticons don't even come close to showing the extent of human emotion.
  11. I just realized that I have a lot of similarities to Shallan, in personality, looks, habits... THAT'S how I know I'm a Sanderfan. Edit: also, when you realize that there are almost 600 posts in this topic, and you are accountable for quite a few of them.
  12. I was talking to my mom the other day about Cosmere stuff on the way to some place or another, and I guess I went in way over her head, because the look she gave me after was like this: , then like this . She's even read all the books!
  13. Also at the end when Wit is talking to the "lizard-crab-thing," then tells Jasnah when she comes that it gave her bad marks.
  14. And some stuff gets a reaction from me that is like "did he really just say that?!" because it is funny and mildly offensive to some characters at the same time. Also when Wit is greeting the newcomers at one of the King's parties, and said something about Lord so-and-so's stupidity, then says, "oh, Lord so-and-so (can't remember the name), I didn't see you there! I didn't mean to insult your stupidity; it is quite honorable and worthy of praise."
  15. What is a spambot? And my sister read one of the spoiler posts that I posted, and it made me so mad... It was even a MAJOR spoiler. AND back on topic: You know when you are a Sanderfan when you give your personalities names of Sanderson's characters.
  16. Even my stick figures look horrible. I really do look quite similar to Shallan, I'm just a few inches shorter. Hopeless at art, and photographic memory is a loss on me. Anyway, on the art subject, I tried to draw a badger once, and it ended up looking closer to an elephant. At least it had four legs!
  17. So true, though. I was gone for about 10 days and it took me forever to catch back up. No kidding.
  18. Yes. Just yes. Many people I know have spiritual injuries because of physical injuries. Especially if it is something along the lines of paralysis, and if it happens later in life, when the person was already accustomed to the life they had. Aimians creep me out a little bit, mostly because they are so shrouded in mystery. Nobody really seems to know much about them, and that really doesn't help. And anything about the Larkin might help, too.
  19. My vote goes to Elsecaller, because, well, it's in my name. And Jasnah became my favorite character once I got to know her a little better. My second choice might have been Lightweaver, but I am terrible at drawing or any other form of art: anything I try to emulate looks like Sarene's paintings, if you've ever read Elantris. :/
  20. You know, I am really intrigued by this kind of stuff. It's really fascinating. Also, I saw a lobster in a jar the other month that made me do a double take because I had just read the Stormlight archive, and that is very similar to what the chasmfiends looked in my head.
  21. I had the most awesome Sanderson-related dream that I have ever had. Happened the other night, but I would not suggest reading it if you haven't finished Words of Radiance...
  22. Gasp! see, Kaladin was kind of right. Not ALL lighteyes are honorable.
  23. I know a lot of people like that. Once they've decided what they are going to do, they won't change their plans, no matter what. Sorry about that situation.
  24. Wow. That looks amazing, I want one!
  25. well, the glowing part makes it hilarious to me.
