    That is awesome. I had a similar experience in a grocery store, where they were selling those water spray thingies with the fans on them (don't know how else to describe them), and I was caught off guard.

    It was some sort of something that was in Shallan's room, if I remember correctly. She realized that it would NOT be a good idea to set something on fire and scorch herself.

    If there was some way that I could make a disgusted face on the forum (at Roshone, not at any of you), then I would. For sure. One of my least favorite characters, he is. Also, I am in a storming bad mood today, so that doesn't help.

    You know you're a Sanderfan when every time you hear "misting fan" or "storms" or "calamity" you think there is another Sanderfan in the room. Also when you realize that you have gone a long time without actively using your left hand.

    Stick is probably my favorite, though Jasnah's box/chest thingy comes in second. And then the Wind's Pleasure.

    Indeed. And the whole thing where Shallan is trying to Soulcast in the first book, and she is telling the thingy "YOU ARE FIRE!" and then she realizes that that would not be a good idea.

    I think you mean dun gems, because "dung gems" means something different. Sorry, just thought I'd point that out. And yes, it would be completely idiotic to risk a bond with Syl because of revenge. In the stories, supposedly, the heroes are not the kind of people that lust for revenge. If he did that, I would probably be like "OH MY COWS" and then throw the book through the wall. Through it.

    I am so sorry about that. I have had quite a few teachers move away from my school, just one year before I move to a different school, for instance. Two of my teachers have gotten married and moved. They were my favorite teachers. One of them moved to Georgia, and the other moved to California. I live in Utah, so those are kind of far away. Kind of. Not like it's a different continent or anything, though. And another one of my teachers retired in the same year. All of that combined was a hard blow on my emotions... I probably broke down at least 20 times before the year was over, so don't feel too bad about that.

    Though that makes me wonder about the whole red hair thing. Another redhead Veden, perhaps? If he is still alive, that is.

    Though even if they didn't do that, it is still interesting that they can suck Stormlight out of people. If it is bonded to Rysn, then I definitely want to see more of that.

    Well, some different species can interbreed, and yes, I think that the Listeners and humans are different species. For example, lions and tigers can interbreed, even though they are not in the same species. They are in the same genus group (I think?) so maybe it has something to do with that?

    Let's see... Too many to really remember at the moment, but definitely Shallan hugging Wit (and the surprise that ensued), Pattern's accidental sarcasm, the "boots" segment... And Lopen is pretty funny, in general.

    Really sounds like a cool idea. Although, I don't think that Horneaters are influenced in the same way by the spren as the Listeners are. Rock would probably have been transformed when the Everstorm came, if that was the case. An evil Rock would be quite scary, I think. And it would also mean that it is possible for people with Horneater blood, such as Shallan, to bind the Voidspren as well.
