  1. Agreed! Brandon actually did write a couple books based on the Infinity Blade game. I have not read them but I am sure they are good.
  2. I have to make a decision... Ragnarok sword or Esper? What have ya'll done?
  3. I feel like this is unlikely but love the theory anyway! Although... Is this name that rhymes just a coincidence or a clue?
  4. Pretty much the same advice either Mistborn (original trilogy), or Warbreaker. I hesitate to recommend Elantris to start with. It is not a bad book but this was his first published Cosmere book and in my opinion the other ones I mentioned are more solid. I would 100% recommend reading Elantris but maybe not first. After that publication order is a great option and probably the least spoilery
  5. Only doing full novels even though most of the Novellas would rank really high especially The Emperors Soul. Tress probably deserves to be moved up if I am being completely honest but I think part of my thoughts on that is it is just my favorite of the most recent Cosmere books so leaving it lower until I re-read it. 1) Warbreaker 2) Hero of Ages (Mainly because it is the best ending he has done so far) 3) The Final Empire 4) Well of Ascension 5) Words of Radiance 6) Oathbringer 7) The Way of Kings 8) Rhythm of War 9) Bands or Morning 10) Shadows of Self 11) Alloy of Law 12) Tress 13) The Lost Metal 14) Elantris (Although I really need to re-read this it has been years I think I would move it up after a re-read).
  6. Just started playing! I am really early on in the game about to start the Siege on Narshe battle. Fun so far. I am a long time FF fan but never played VI before.
  7. This would be my guess and honestly I'd love to read it from her POV. I have always liked Jasnah and want to see more from her POV. She is one of the last books so a novella before would be awesome!
  8. I feel like it had to have been Spook and Kelsier together. Mainly because of the ending of MBSH. I am assuming we may find out more in Era 3 but honestly this did bother me that this became such a mystery after TLM. Really hoping we get a MBSH2 but we will see.
  9. I agree with @Frustration above. I think it mainly depends though on how long it will take you to read the first three books of Era 2. In my opinion MBSH is better when the events of the original trilogy are fresh in your mind. I had read the original trilogy years before MBSH and I think some of the stuff in it would have landed better if I had read the trilogy more recently.
  10. I'm on the fence on this. At first I was 100% sure it was a Stormfaker but you and others have made really good points as to why not. I do however feel like Cultivation is a strong possibility. Perhaps she was attempting to put the Oathpack back together. I'm not sure exactly what she was trying to accomplish but the Stormfather in the prologue for sure was way different than what we have seen so far and I have a hard time believing nothing is going on here. I also feel like this is the book we are going to learn a lot more about her motivations and plans and this could be foreshadowing. Unless this is completely saved for the second half which I would be disappointed with. There is also this WoB which implies to me we should be noticing a difference.
  11. Or possible referring to a Dawnshard as some people have suspected.
  12. Perfect thanks! Yes graphic novels are really not my thing but I listen to a lot of audio books and wanted to try this out. The premise of a podcast format sounded fun.
  13. Sorry nothing to add because I have not read/listened to either but was curious if you feel like you can listen to the Audio book stand alone?
  14. Man I listened to this as an audiobook and the first few times his name was said I thought they were saying Ulim! I had to look it up in the e-book!
  15. Unfortunately I also consider it the weakest of the Cosmere books which is tough for me to say because I absolutely loved SoS and BoM and have been looking forward to this for years. I'd actually say the weakest of all his books if it wasn't for Calamity. On the bright side I loved SP1 and looking forward to the other SP books.
  16. @Bliev Oh I like that!
  17. Awesome Video Brandon did with Mark Rober (I love this guys experiments) showing the "science" behind sailing the spore seas.
  18. I am actually hoping we get to see Hoid starting to tell this story on FoS in the sequel as a fun tie back.
  19. Awesome find! I was able to translate a small section but it looks like it is a repetition of the same thing over and over. Putting it in a spoiler tag because it is pretty major.
  20. @AquaRegia Yep along those lines. Basically "We are doing this for your own good". Now we just need to wait a couple decades or so to find out why they thought that
  21. According to this WoB it is not just the heart but a very specific part of the heart. So unless they binding points were close enough that the dual-metal spike could touch both it wouldn't work.
  22. If you could have lunch with any famous person throughout history who would you choose and why? I am a chicken tender myself and have a flock of 10 chickens. Chickens are seriously like little dinosaurs and extremely vicious. The things that I have seen them do to snakes, frogs and mice belong in a horror movie. They are however scared of basically anything bigger than themselves even in a group (however a rooster can and will attack something much bigger to protect it's ladies). So I think elephants are pretty safe from attacking chickens even if it was a group of a thousand.
  23. According to this WoB it was not before. I think there were 17 people there so we would have a good name for this fan site . No really it is a good question why there were 17 people there. I have a suspicion that Hoid was not really meant to be there. There are other WoB asking about Hoid's involvement and none of the answers are really definitive in the regard that he was part of the original plan or actively involved. My guess at this point is he was more of a witness to the event (either with or without the knowledge of the 16) and something happened during the shattering that gave him an opportunity to take a shard but he did not.
