Having a Bad Day?: Get 'yer Hugs here!!

Isn't getting rid of fleas as simple as spraying your dog with something? It works for cats that way... and why did your vet suspect heart worms? Are there any symptoms to suggest heart infection? -
Having a Bad Day?: Get 'yer Hugs here!!

Polish minister for environment wants UNESCO to remove World Heritage Site status from our Białowieża Forest... why? Because without UNESCO interfering he'll be able to authorize even more deforestation He has already raised the number of trees to be cut dramatically... The Law and Justice party won the elections last year with slogan "for better change" and since then, they're doing their best to ruin Poland, destroy our relations with UE and USA, they're trying to control the courts and as we can see, they won't even let our most famous forest in peace And people voted for them, because they promised 100€ for every child (every month)... and that will ruin our budget even more... -
Instantly changing all the water in human body into steam would result in a really powerful explosion. Human body contains something like 50kg of water I assume. 50kg of steam or rather water in gas form, in human body temperature of 36*C in atmospheric pressure would be almost 1200m3 if my math is correct. Now, a human's volume is how much? 1m3? That would result in huge difference in pressure, assuming the temperature wouldn't change. I don't remember the Chasmfiend post, but did humans explode like bombs or rather like balloons? What can steam under a lot of pressure do:

The name Dick is generally something I cannot understand. What was this word used for first: as a name for a person or as a synonym for penis? If the person name was first, then how the hell did it become a synonym of penis? If the synonym was first, then why does anyone use this name?! I don't get it

For some reason you iPad disconnects from my server before it manages to respond. It might be some security software protecting you from my evil signature or even your Internet Service Provider blacklisting my IP for some strange reason.

Nah, just normal words. Anyway this day just got worse. It's just unbelievable. I wanted to eat McDonalds so I check McDonald's app and see that there is one near my home. The journey begins. Arrival time: 23:03 Card on the restaurant door: Sorry, due to technical difficulties we're closing at 23:00. That was irritating, but I checked the map and not that far away, there is another McD that should be open. Arrival time: 23:24 Card on the door: Today we close at 23:20. Riight, love you too mister McDonald. I decided that I won't give up! There is McDonald's open 24h in center of Warsaw. I go there. Arrival time: 23:35 Card on the door: Technical break 23:30-00:30. Now, I'm gonna take a nap in my car in front of the railway station in which this restaurat is located and I WILL HAVE MY BIG MAC! YOU WON'T STOP ME, YOU STUPID CLOWN!!! -

I stayed at work today from 10am to 9:30pm, preparing a website for tommorow presentation. Among many others there was this simple bug to fix. When your input is too long in one form, the site crashes. Something to be fixed in less than 5 minutes. I was sure I fixed that and even checked that it was solved. So now my boss starts her testing and what happens? The site crashes from a too long input. Now I'm tired and look like an incompetent fool :/ I hope this won't be an issue during tommorow presentation... -
I'd vote for him!

Is Brandon having trouble with the next Stormlight book?
Mestiv replied to dayman's topic in General Brandon Discussion
If I remember correctly in past few months the bar for SA3 moved by a couple % points. I don't think there's anything to worry about, the progress bars aren't updated on any regular schedule. It probably will go up by 2% or something like that next time it moves. -
Well, for me, the wizards of HP world are more caged than Muggles. No one is trying to hide anything from them, and yet Arthur Weasley is baffled by a rubber duck. The wizards are putting themselves in a 18th century cage.

I guess he wouldn't be happy if I told him I consider his Bible one of the oldest fantasy books

You had an interesting idea for celebrating your birthday!

If everyone was sure about how consistently they'll write the game would be less fun. And let's remember that to eliminate another player without risking own life, someone has to find time to write double the words required.

Yeah, there would be some minimal word count you must achieve witch each post. Other rules are up to discussion, I just want to know what you generally think about the idea before we invest more time in it.

Thanks Feels good to read something like that ^^ Summer's story is currently blocked by Argon/Buttercup/Kenshin events. She's just waiting for Argon to arrive at his house. I'm open for engaging Summer in the rebellion. Also, I have an idea! Last man standing game! We start a new thread, everyone interested gets to create one non-high Epic for themselves. Players form a team of Epics that want to take over London or any other big city, which story we don't know. The rules are: 1) Players can't fight other players. 2) Once every 4 days I randomly make a list a'la secret santa. The presents are enemy Epics. Someone gives you a description of another non-High Epic and you have to describe your characters fight with them (victorious ). 3) If you fail to "win your fight" in 4 days, another player is free to describe the defeat of your character. 4) If you failed to "win" in 4 days, but no one described your death, you can still catch up and keep playing. 5) There may be special rounds where all players fight with one powerful enemy or sometimes there may be teams. 6) The game end when there is only 1 player left or after 16 days since last players death. What do you think? We would have a place for some fun fights AND a motivation to frequently write

I've just seen this on 9gag: http://9gag.com/gag/apvOydE and I have to ask: aren't this kind of windows common on other continents?

Argon and Rick sat down under the roof of a small, abandoned Texaco gas station in Lewisburg, still a couple of kilometers from Corvallis. Hidden from the rain they could take of their hoods and rest for a while. Argon didn't feel tired, he was used to walking and enjoyed it. Rick however, carrying a heavy backpack, ordered the stop. They found some old boxes to sit on and laid their baggage on the ground. "So, yeah, I think that Queen Blossom in the prettiest girl in this city. No other Epic or civilian can even compete... But don't tell that to any Epic girl, ok? That would be dangerous." Rick continued his analysis of female Epics of Corvallis while taking out a sandwich from his pack. "Even the Princess, despite her powers, isn't even close... Anyway, what are your powers?" Argon choked on the water he was just drinking. "What?! How do you know I'm an Epic?" Argon asked, not even trying to hide how surprised he was. "Ha! That's quite obvious for someone like me, who spends a lot of time among Epics and Civilians alike. The way you walk, the way you speak... The way you didn't worry when I was describing how the life of a servant looks like in this city." he explained, revealing to be a lot smarter than Argon initially thought. "So, you're an Epic, and yet, you simply walk and have a nice chit-chat with a lowly servant. My guess is, your powers can't be anything big. Obviously they aren't anything deadly or even offensive. Epics with those almost never see beyond the tips of their noses... Nah, you're gifted, but not with something that allows you to take advantage of anyone. So you blend in, treat others nice, because you're more like me than like other Epics of this city. Am I right?" Argon smiled, surprised by the deduction Rick made. Fortunately he wasn't as close to truth as he thought. "What's your favorite pie?" Epic responded with a question, surprising Rick in return. "Umm... cherry pie I guess. Haven't had one in years though..." Argon snapped his fingers and a piece of cherry pie on a paper plate appeared with a pop in front of Rick, who burst into laugh. "Haha! Well Matthew, looks like you've just made yourself a new friend!" he said and took a bite.

I'd love to tie some of those ends, but I can't do it alone Anyway, I'll try to write another Argon post just so you don't forget about him
