1. Hemalurgy and Parshendi form changing (however it is called).
2. Hemalurgy and Shardbearing (as in "beeing bonded to a Shardblade"). Or maybe Honorblade would fit better? And yes, I'm out of ideas. : D
3. AonDor and Dakhor?
4. Doesn't work for me. Only word "Question" is in quote for some reason. The code looks fine, just the result looks wrong, I don't know why. Example: Can someone bond more than one Honorblade? BRANDON SANDERSON Honorblade? You can't bond an Honorblade, though it can be given to you. Shardblades, however, come from a spren bond and it is possible to bond more than one. Footnote Later clarified, Brandon misunderstood the question. One may be bound to multiple Honorblades. (source) And code:
QUESTION Can someone bond more than one Honorblade? BRANDON SANDERSON Honorblade? You can't bond an Honorblade, though it can be given to you. Shardblades, however, come from a spren bond and it is possible to bond more than one. Footnote Later clarified, Brandon misunderstood the question. One may be bound to multiple Honorblades. (source)
Any ideas how to fix it?
5. Actually, it was later clarified: QUESTION Can someone bond more than one Honorblade? BRANDON SANDERSON Honorblade? You can't bond an Honorblade, though it can be given to you. Shardblades, however, come from a spren bond and it is possible to bond more than one. Footnote Later clarified, Brandon misunderstood the question. One may be bound to multiple Honorblades. (source)
6. Well, I totally agree. The first book was nice, just a fun book for teens and kids. Bu then it got only worse. Although the last book wasn't simply a dissapointment. It was a disaster. And I want to add that this is also the most predictable series I've ever read, and I've read a lot of bad stuff in my life. EDIT: Series I was disspointed with: The Iron Druid Chronicles by Kevin Hearne. I loved the first few books, they were great and absolutely hilarious. But the recent books? Meh. Really meh. Not funny at all, and somehow pointless.
7. Are annotations actually inside the book, or are they just on Brandon's website? Sorry, I've got a Kindle edtition, I don't know what's inside the printed copy. Yeah, I totally can see that it may be uncomfortable. It's just I thought there was something more, because some comments said that they don't like sex beeing described, so they found Warbreaker uncomfortable, but then I found no sex described. It doesn't mean that this book is not uncomfortable for some people, because it sure can be. It just means that I misundersood the comments I've read, that's all. : )
8. From who/where did Kaladin learn that his KR order is "Windrunner"? Because I think I forgot. : (
9. Well, that would be surprising. But I like Kaladin, and I don''t want him dead. : ( And to be honest, I don't really see that. For a moment the book really doesn't seem like it's going to kill everyone. But if so, then what? We kill all the characters, at the end of book 5, and then just get a bunch of new ones? Nah, I don't see that. I mean, a lot of main and main-ish characters is pretty young, and I think it it for a reason. I just think we'll see their older versions in the second part of the series. Of course, they probably won't be main characters anymore, maybe they'll be main-ish, but I think they will be there.
10. I asked about it just after Christmas, and I still haven't got it. But I guess it's perfectly normal, because on the website it says that it make take even several month to get a reply. So don't worry. : )
11. Wait. But do you think that they will just use stormlight for general healing, or in Windrunner-like manner as well? Because if the second one, then that makes them way more awesome than (Mistborn: Hero of Ages spoiler) If we get an army of Windrunner-like squires I want to see an absolutely epic battle, where it is described how everone "good" fights everyone "bad" with more focus on squires and other people than it was in Hero of Ages.
12. That's why it's so hard to find one! xD I'm joking, of course. To be honest, it is still interesting to read the book if it is good, even if someone spoiled to me, it's just slighly less surprising. But there is a way around it. I could ask people to recommend me this kind of book, but also other types of books, without telling me which recommended book is which type, so I wouldn't know the endings. Of course. Journey before destination.
13. Well, that's actually sounds pretty interesting, but that not exactly what I want. What I want is to be surprised by the ending. In almost all books the good guys win, which is too predictable, but if the bad guys would win I would be really, really surprised. And I'd like that. The rest of the books has not straighforward morally characters and no real distinctions between good and bad guys, which makes it more surprising and interesting, but still not as surprising as bad guy winnig. But now you told me that these books end this way, they're no surprise anymore. : ) But I'll check them out anyway, so thanks! And yes, I've read ASOIAF and that's why I want characters dead. Even GRR Martin stopped killing his characters, really. (Although there ispossibility that my favourite character is dead, and if he is then that will cause mixed feelings in me.) Well, if we see it this way I sense (with my Force sense) some more Kaladin-lighteyes problems. Imagine: Kaladin is the uber Knight Radiant with shiny blue eyes and his whole Holy Army. Maybe his Army also gets eyes all shiny because of stormlight? And because of that he is actually strengthening the belief that lighteyes are better or more important. That would blow Kaladin's mind. But Kaladin's Holy Army sounds pretty awesome.
14. Sixth of the Dusk: First to discover how to create new Aviar. Yeah, I've just read it. : )
15. They won't lose, they're in the book. (I'm still trying to get a fantasy book that ends with all main good characters dying, and general success of the "bad side", but actually I expect ASOIAF to end this way). And honestly I really doubt they will stop the Desolation by killing every single Voidbringer there. There is always some smarter way to do that (at least in books), like defeating the main bad guy, etc.
16. Well, true. But 1000 squires powerful enough to at least regrow limbs? Well, I think that we can count Desolation as already won then.
17. Well, for me "Strength of Squires" means that squires are stronger not more numerous. Maybe Brandon means strength in stormlight use? I mean, Lopen already managed to regrow his arm, which I think is pretty amazing.
18. 36? I thought it was suppose to have only 10. Oh, well. I liked the previous season, but the this season is a real dissapointment so far. I don't like it.
19. Well, we know that Returned in general can have children, and that Vo managed to do that in only a week, so it can't be that difficult. So I wopuld say it's pretty possible there were more kids like that. It's just really depends how many Returned were there between Vo and Denth. And I really have to admit that I would'd never think about asking such questions, I would just assume he can do that because of being Returned. So that was really a smart one, Kurkistan.
20. But isn't hair the part of appearance? Was it somewhere specifically stated that Denth is descendant of Vo? EDIT: Because having Royal Locks makes you a descendant of a Returned, than I think that all Returned have to have the ability to change their hair colour by default. Or am I wrong in my reasoning. EDIT2: And to be honest I can't remember Denth changing hair colour at all. Which chapter was that? EDIT3: Ok, I found which chapter it was mentioned. EDIT4: Eh, ninja'd. xD
21. Yeah, this was what I use when I read sometimes something on my phone on the internet, when I have no Kindle with me. The black backgroud is pretty fine, doesn't seem to tire eyes too much. Although I have to say I cannot compare it with sepia, as my phone is too old to have an option to swich the text to sepia, so I've never tried it.
22. Oh nooo. Yesterday I gave you my entire downvote quota, but I didn't even get to see you as the Zucchini. Yesterday you were Lamespren, and today you're back to Lifeless. What a shame I couldn't see that. Oh, well. That was still fun, so have some upvotes.
23. I'm not saying that this stuff is really necessary, just that it is really confusing, and I really don't like to be so confused. And I'm not suggesting shoehorning all the possible information there. All I would want is some extra dialogue saying "Priests are wrong/lying, but it's complicated." Detailed desciptions of "how" are not necessary. That's all there is. Actually, in my opinion, it would be slos prefectly fine to leave out Vasher's comment that the Royal Locks are descent from a Returned, and just let the reader think that it is absolutely impossible for the Returned to have children, and if it is to be explained in Nightblood, then just explain all there in one go. He has Royal Locks? I thought that he can change appearance because he is Returned. Well, I know that Returned generally look like they think they should look like, but I'm pretty sure they can learn to control it, just like Vivenna and Siri had to learn to control Royal Locks...
24. Thanks a lot. But I actually don't like that you have to read the annotations to know that. It should be all explained in the book, because otherwise the book is super-confusing.
25. Thanks. And sorry, but I have yet another question (loads and loads of questions from me): Can Returned have children or not? Because it was stated on multiple occasions that they can't but then there are the Royal Locks in royal family, and Vasher (I think it was him) says that it is because of being descendant of a Returned. So how is it?
