  1. Whelp, back to work tomorrow.
  2. Cat allergies seem more concerned with cat saliva instead of fur...funny thing, too, is that sometimes, a person with cat allergies can develop immunity to specific cats while being still allergic to the general cat population.
  3. Yeah, but then Bruce would be around your parents! That would kinda cancel out the benefits, I think.
  4. The reason this is so is that the reader can project what frightens them when the reason is unknown. You essentially make the reader do the work! Once you give a reason, it's you the writer projecting what might be frightening, which may not coincide with what the reader thinks. You could have a moment where the curtain is drawn aside and all you have is a man with a machine. That's one reason why the Star Wars prequels are bad: they really take a bit of the menace of Darth Vader out. This is also a huge issue with zombies: the situation of zombies can be made frightening or intense, but once you start offering explanations like: it's a virus, radiation from a space probe, hell is full, etc. it brings the person out and they all of sudden start thinking, "this is kinda ridiculous."
  5. You may have slept in a little.
  6. That's kinda arbitrary Drinking about 32 oz at the end of the night is usually good for dealing with most hangover symptoms. But not all, so here's a list of what causes them: 1) Dehydration- the important thing is to drink water at the end of the night, when you are not adding more aqua vita into your system. During your session is fine as well, but at least in my experience drinking water at the end of the night/morning is essential. This is also the leading cause of a good host of hangover symptoms. 2) Lack of restful sleep- alcohol wrecks your sleeping ability. You may "pass out" but you aren't really getting the actual type of REM sleep you need. Since I was up until five this morning, I believe this was a huge contributor on my part. 3) Lack of various electrolytes- as you get dehydrated, you lose some electrolytes which will leave you somewhat sore the next day. That's why I drink Gatorade at the end of the night. Not too much, and you still have to drink water otherwise you will get dehydrated like a chump. 4) Various characteristics of what you do drink: Tannins, Red Bull, other stuff you mix into your drinks will cause various problems as well. I have these last because they normally do not cause too much trouble unless you do something stupid.... like drink massive amounts of red wine, for example. Having a cat to cuddle with is also helpful. Having an old dog with mucus oozing out of her empty eye-socket is not.
  7. I also add some Gatorade to that mix Usually I'm fine, but sometimes you have events like the Great Gin War of '13...at least today was not like the aftermath of that!
  8. Color me intrigued! But stay within the lines!
  9. It's the escapism aspect. Harry is meant to be the "normal" kid that gets to live out the fantasy of being the chosen one, popular, good at sports, etc. All while still hanging out with his lame friends because he's too cool to hang with the cool kids. Or something like that.
  10. A half pound pepperoni one I got to help with....headaches....in the morning. This first can of Coca-Cola is working out great, though.
  11. Ugh, first Hot Pocket of the New year and it's terrible. This does not bode well for 2016.
  12. Mwahaha! 2016 shall be the year of insanity-inducing horror!
  13. It's a long way to Tipperary... Sob!
  14. Then I must get my Marmite talk in now! That was waaaay too much Marmite she used on her cinnamon roll. She essentially did something like pour ten gallons of milk into one bowl of cereal and then wonder what went wrong. Your New Year's Resolution: You must eat assume Marmite next year! Mwahaha!
  15. Drat! All I got is Marmite!
  16. To quit stuffing jumbucks into tucker bags.
  17. And now you can recognize the "happy" songs in the following clip!
  18. There's a long, long trail a-winding Into the land of my dreams, Where the nightingales are singing And a white moon beams.

  19. This evening/morning I'm stuck listening to WW1 tunes.
  20. Auto repair for Dummies, coupled with your basic owner's manual that came with the car, are good sources. Your main concern should be finding a reliable and honest mechanic.Things you should know: How to change an air filter How to jumpstart a car How to change a lightbulb. You can also talk to people at an Auto Parts store. A lot of times, you can have them test car parts and check the Check Engine Light cause for free.
  21. That's good! But may I suggest you check the health of your battery? It might be about to die.
  22. I'm failing at this vacation thing... I keep wanting to log on and check up on everything.
