  1. Haven't seen the show, but if they are adapting Elfstones, it should be a fun swords and sorcery show.
  2. My point depends on it
  3. Time and effort does not equate value or quality, particularly at one's opinion level. If one works hard or long on a post, that does not mean the post merits positive recognition. One is never entitled to an upvote merely because of effort, but rather of actual value others place on the post. And if a meme is valued more than a theory, maybe that theory is really not that great, and it should be worked on instead of taking out one's frustration on a "less worthy" post.
  4. All right. My view is that assigning value on upvotes based on "contribution to the fandom" be it theory, knowledge, art, fanfic, whatever... I think such a view is elitist. Saying that some theory post should and ought to get more upvotes than, say, a dumb joke ignores how a community's culture actually works and develops. This is not a stuffy, pseudo academic society that studies almost exclusively Sanderson content. It is a dynamic community where different viewpoints can interact and, though different, are united by the common thread that we are here because of a common (But not equal) interest in Sanderson. As a result, I view upvotes much like how Chaos views downvotes: something each individual user can use according to their whim and conscious. I mean, the only real issue I see with the reputation are those accidental downvotes. Those seem to be getting more common than less frequent, and maybe the cap will make the poster more careful.
  5. The old fashion way... with blood incantations from the Sumarian Grimoire
  6. Drats, they finally figured it out... through all their sleuthing, they finally realized that I am an AI that feeds off the upvote/downvote system and have cut me off from my food source to either kill me or compel me to some other dark forum!
  7. Which sounds like setup for, "nothing to see here, just forget all about this... until Wayne gets stabbed with a Reaver's spear and asks Wax "do you remember the song...*cough blood* that played when we first met? It was the Last Breath...*eyes glaze over* Get it? Cuz he thinks Wax is that one chick due to trauma, bloodloss, and impending death! Funny times... Lost Metal spoiler
  8. Soo... this could have been your theme song? (Starts about one minute in, and be forewarned, oh children of the Shard, there are plenty of swears! Like... a bunch...We're talking R for language. Great stuff, but there you have it. Art is not determined by Puritan decrees, but I am honorbound to at least warn yeh ahead of time)
  9. Hipster Orlion says that all the books are garbage water Bloody mainstream fantasy...
  10. Classic episode. "You think your dirty socks can stop me?! Well, they are making me dizzy..."
  11. But it comes with your choice of toppings!
  12. I'll say no. I'll have to get to a computer to elucidate 'why', but it comes down to an individual's rights vs The Greater Good.
  13. Or people! Chouta Green is people!
  14. Personally, I never liked it. It doesn't really give us anything new, and I hate how one of the characters from the original series is turned into a giggling school girl cliche of her former self.
  15. Chouta isn't real, so it's meatless
  16. It's not gas station bad...It's main issue is lack of flavor...It's just bland.
  17. This breakfast burrito I'm having between lunch and dinner is terrible.
  18. Hey, Kaymyth, I hear their house is for sale!
  19. Shoot, my cold brain accidentally down voted kaellok. Could someone fix, please?
  20. If you want to avoid spoilers, then yes, Winds of Winter should be read first, since that is far more likely to be spoiled than the other two books. As far how much SA will get published... I will say we will have the first SA arc (so books one through five) and at least one Elantris sequel before Martin finishes the Song of Ice and Fire. This assumes he sticks with just seven books.
  21. Wayne says good-bye and hums a song called "The Last Breath" that seems to have the beat of a heart. Methinks that's some ominous foreshadowing....
  22. Why else would you ever get Roman candles?
