  1. Absolutely. With the Star Trek movies, it seemed they were trying to force it into a mold that would appear to the more general movie going public. With Force Awakens, they just made a Star Wars movie.
  2. I loved that scene, where they first face off and "charge" each other on their "trusty steeds". And I'll also say Tehol and Bugg were fantastic characters as well.
  3. I'm wondering if Ruin is the Ruin we all know and love or something from Doctor Who... And if the former, let's reiterate Kobold's question
  4. I'll soak up and say that I'm much the same way.And I wouldn't say you're being argumentative, but rather contrarian at the simplest. I, on the other hand...
  5. That, and you wouldn't do it alone. The worst thing you can think is that you're on your own: particularly when you are not.
  6. I finally found my copy of The Judging Eye! The journey to madness and existential terror can continue without me having to spend more money!
  7. Wouldn't they be Demon Sultan Pugs?
  8. Well, that's one way to look at it... but another is that it seems from the beginning that the Rashek wanted Mistborn, or at least Mistings, in the world. The first way to do that was to hand out some Lerasium, but that was in incredibly short supply. So if he ever had to create more Mistings/Mistborn, he could do so through this method.
  9. Gardens of the Moon actually introduces some of my favorite characters. You got Quick Ben, Kalam, Apsalar, Whiskeyjack... And of course, the singular Kruppe!
  10. I mean... do you ever have an "I like customers" day?
  11. Especially Hot Pockets!
  12. Now, this may be the Stormlight talking, but I say storm them.
  13. Even though he is capable of fixing it himself, consider it fixed!
  14. I'm always skeptical of anything that carries the SyFy label. I just can't take them seriously. So I'll probably sit this out, at least for a bit. I don't know, I've read The book too and was satisfied with it.
  15. I like that you named a category: "The Increasingly Fuzzy Future"
  16. You could always respond with, "Excuse me, but unless you're here to discuss the poetry of James Elroy Flecker, I simply cannot give you the time of day."God help you though if he happens to know who James Elroy Flecker is.
  17. One aspect of formal wear is that is a way to show you care/have respect. For example: you are going to a funeral/date (there's some overlap ), you wear yoga pants and have not shaved out comb you're hair: what are you saying?
  18. That's strange...because I think I ran into that suggestion on that board. It certainly was suggested by Steven Erikson in an interview once.
  19. It doesn't seem random, though, it seems to be drawing attention to it...might also affect how you read it in your head, too... I dunno.
  20. Pretty much fits in with my current timeline. Hoping to get Elantris sooner, but I always knew that Wax and Wayne were going to get priority. And that is fine...no, I'm not sobbing! You're sobbing!
  21. No kidding...kids these days, ruining movies on their internets and rock and roll!
  22. Hmmm... that would be an excellent hue for Arguing Mittens! After all, a pet peeve of mine is wearing Arguing Mittens of an improper hue... just throws everything off!
