I believe WoB is that Sazed himself felt that Sazedium sounds terrible. Or something. I forgot.

It would've had to hit the guy in the right place and been made of the right metal to do anything, AND the archer must be intentionally performing hemalurgy, for the arrow to have stolen something at all. And I'm not sure any of the attributes that can be taken from normal people share metals with spikes of allomancy, so the charge might be instantly rejected.

Dual wielding shardblades and honorblades (spoilers)
natc replied to NathanielHellman's topic in Stormlight Archive
I believe it is said it would technically make his powers stronger, but there's no point in practical use since if you want a stronger effect you can just use more stormlight.- 31 replies

Well, if Endowment is the one who created them this way, it would still check out? *shrugs* I mean, rather sure there's also a WoB saying that non-Nalthians aren't Drab. So the breath at least contains something that everyone else has by default.

Wax has allomantic blood, and it seems to have remained relatively strong since Breeze's time. Twinborn at that. Keeping him around for genetics will just dilute the Terris gene pool further. Only thing that will benefit the genetics at all at this point is a full feruchemist.

Shallan's effects are nothing like a copper ferring. At all. She temporarily remembers images perfectly until she draws it out onto something, after which it's about as fuzzy as your normal memories. Copper ferrings lose the memory outright until they look at it again, but if they put it back in it's gone again. It's not going to remain clear for very long either if you review it often.

As in, atium shadows lead the original object by a couple of seconds or so, and presumably electrum does too. In hindsight I'm sure your mind gets modified to process it, but it'd look pretty weird if you aren't moving too far in the shadows, since they'll be right next to you or even overlapping your body.

You know, going on a tangent here, TLR probably isn't that great of a fighter. All the superpowered mistborn people who were around when he conquered everything post-Ascension worked for him, plus he's that powerful. Nobody can really stop him back then, I'm sure. He didn't even have the atium bracer weakness to worry about back then (loses some power, likely, but he won't die from old age immediately or anything), and could heal from almost anything too, nothing could defeat him. Before then, he was a not a warrior. He should've lacked sufficient opportunity to actually develop his combat experience, no? That might be why he wasn't reacting to losing his bracers (something very vital to him) in a fight as fast as he could have, he legitimately did not comprehend the fact that he had an exploitatable weakness and didn't take the fight seriously. I'm sure he knows what would happen, but there's a difference between that and understanding the consequences, putting two and two together, and taking measures against it. Vin sends bracers (somewhat unexpected from a mistborn of that era really. They shouldn't be strong enough to bypass the resistance of blood) put window and he's basically going "Wait, what jus- oh crap" and staring in shock instead of going after it while he still could. So I can imagine that, despite his raw power, TLR probably knows little in the usage of allomancy beyond brute force, and can probably be outsmarted by anyone with some sort of investiture of their own to at least level the playing field enough to not get curbstomped in 0 seconds flat. TLR does not understand awakening either. There are things Vasher can do against him. Of course, Serious TLR will just Quicksilver the poor guy while reading obligator reports inbetween lunches sipping tea or something, but I'm not sure if he gets serious about anything with that dominance/superiority complex he seems to have. Ah, the Gilgamesh dilemma of power levels.
-
Well, to be technical, I do believe everyone has that chunk of investiture that stops you from being Drab. The Nalthians just have it detachable for some reason.

Assuming the shadow doesn't form on top of yourself or something, and doesn't split due to access to future knowledge. Never did figure out how it works exactly.

Compounding can't achieve anything in a moment that pure feruchemy can't, yeah. It's just that what a normal feruchemist will take weeks, months, maybe years to save up in order to achieve the wanted results for a decent period of time, compounders can build up enough to do it on a regular basis without really harming anything except their wallets.
-
You would think Lurchers would be more accurate considering.
-
For the last one, did he actually stop his push? Doors in general: not sure whether momentum even matters in those situations. You're looking to reach a certain amount of force against the door on impact here. You'd come to a stop right after anyway.
-
The Reckonerverse itself isn't. One of the parallel universe versions is though.
-
Generally the understanding is that you don't actively burn it as you use your powers. You would burn it away at once when convenient to obtain a metric truckload of feruchemical attribute, then shove it all in permanent metalminds. The amount you build up is preferably at such an obscene quantity that you can basically tap nonstop for days and not run out, like Miles.
-
From early June to late October huh. More recent than usual, but still. Rashek can tell if you are lying pretty well, not sure if that would work.
-
Well, if those supposed "complications" are a thing then it stands to reason that we'll see children of allomantically-spiked hemalurgic constructs at some point.

[SOS Theory] Wax's Missing earring description

If I recall correctly, he regrows his head and was subsequently surprised that he regrew a head and not a body. Seems a nonchalant reaction to decapitation don't you think?

I do believe Keeper copperminds all contain the same stuff, they simply select parts of it to study and elaborate on because there's way too much to consciously make sense of. So there might be actual academic records of bunnies too, alongside the religious ones. So they are still 12 feet tall because the artwork was shoddy.

Why would you want to be able to become the ultimate anchor for ironpulling massive objects into your face?
