I'm not sure I'm reading that right, because your two sentences seem to come together as the complete opposite point to your original point.
-
They spent the whole book being mind controlled and honestly seemed less than amused.
-
Yeah, but while you can destroy evil subjectively, you can't prevent death by killing someone. That makes no sense. You need a more detailed command.
-
They're also a pretty messed up group of relatives, which also helps leave a big enough gap in the spiritweb to invest through. I actually find it amusing that Syl lacks Wyndle's sentiments on choosing unimportant people. And it worked out in the end. Honorspren really don't seem to be a pragmatic race.

Koloss-blooded have normal intelligence. When they make up the bulk of the children and there being a tradition of when to decide on accepting the spikes the society can't be too dumb. They really don't seem to care about Ruin in their heads either tbh.

You mean this story isn't about the Knights Kholin?
-
For elsecalling, you can also purposely induce the one flaw of Aonic teleportation and aim yourself to teleport them into a wall, potentially. Telefragging is fun.

You're better off just soulcasting the person themselves into fire tbh :3

Of course there are gates on the Oathgate plateau *sarcasm*

I'm not entirely sure if all of preservation is enough to churn out enough luck to pretty much kill the entire cosmere and secure a complete adonalsium for you man. If it was Odium should've thought of that ages ago.

Yeah, good luck convincing a stick to "be made out of the power of the Shard of Ruin". Fire is difficult enough.Awakening would be difficult as they are both invested to the hilt and non-living. It's frankly just a chunk of metal made from magic really, you'll have just as much luck awakening Mist.

Don't believe they even call themselves the Cobalt Guard anymore? Everyone in it is a bridgeman and they still go by the numbers when referring to each other.

All Authors Have The Work Ethic Of Brandon Sanderson
natc replied to Bookworm's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Many amazing things mankind can achieve if everyone could take a break from writing a book by writing a different book, then potentially accidentally write the sequel as well. Or the analog of that im their respective fields. -
Surely existing Koloss-blooded get to have love lives? It's just weird dating a blue-grey person with (partial) superhuman strength.
-
It still disturbs me that someone would want to mate with a koloss, for hybrids to actually be a thing. On topic though, they still have spikes. Hard to ignore Harmony when he's hooked up to your mind.

Archivists generally seem to wear that copper 24/7 so forgetting really wasn't an issue. You know how some RPGs have stupid amounts of customization to optimize? Would be nice to play through the story from scratch with a perfect copy of my previous setup on hand without needing electronics. Store whole walkthroughs even. Or watching a movie more times. Cheating on tests, etc.

What Stormlight Archive Book Did You Like More?
natc replied to ChullRider's topic in Stormlight Archive
If two people starting off on a bad note makes romance feel forced to you never watch any anime And Kaladin's power fluctuations only seem convenient for the plot developments until you realize it's said developments that caused the shifts in the first place... Narrative-wise I actually liked WoK more, but WoR outnumbers it in terms of moments of Awesome. And I'm not talking about Lift. Life epiphany into simultaneous regaining of powers, summoning a glowing shardblade, then exploding with so much stormlight that the floor frosts over into a massive glyph. That's just an epic moment. Then he takes to the air in his next scene.- 33 replies

It'll be long enough for me. I'll always want more, of course, but I really want my mini story arcs to end.

Domination doesn't exist. And it has little reason to be.

Again, it's apparently the forcibly amplified connection to Preservation that causes the mistborn effect, so lerasium properties only exist because of what it's made from cognitively/spiritually speaking. Natural matter that hypothetically can do the same thing as lerasium would need to be made of Preservation to work anyway. Which would make it actual lerasium, natural or otherwise. Which isn't natural matter. How on earth would compounding anything result in Ascending into anything other than Preservation and Ruin?

It's as useless as a portable hard drive is useless; i.e. not in the slightest. You just need to keep track of what filing architecture you are using it seems. Works brilliantly. I'm under the impression that tapping doesn't directly decay the memories, but that it's just that memories do that regardless in your brain and the Keepers were huge sticklers for total accuracy.

In hindsight Fjordell has a functional region system for a different magic system where the characters are known to be able to channel what appears to be the Dor and shape it like Aons can for their own purposes. Much easier than trying to construct symbols for Duladel from scratch when it isn't really known what process is used in determining how a geographical region becomes interpreted as simplified lines by the Dor.

The metal's natural properties must be extremely distorted then, because I can't think of any metal that doesn't just dent. It's the whole point of using metal.

It's always rigged so that the world is better off without powers though. God was a jerk. Overcharging for everything. Shard of Madness. Power correlates to lack of mental stability (well, more than usual. Being traumatized is already a requirement for self-investment everywhere). The strongest people on the planet can be anything from a total psychopath to some guy who watches too much anime and hero shows and is utterly delusional (or in this case not so delusional?)
